Abstract

The invasion of Israel into Palestine, especially in areas considered historically and religiously significant, such as Jerusalem, can be seen as disregarding the humanitarian values established by Islam. This deeply hurts the feelings of the Muslim community specifically and ignores the calls for peace from the international community in general. Reaction of Muslim Community to this conflict is very serious. As a form of religious solidarity, they express condemnation of Israel by boycotting Jewish products. This is aimed at resisting Israel's military aggression against Palestine. From a jurisprudential perspective, this can be justified by referring to the Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) Number 83 of 2023, supported by Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah. The opinions of scholars in several fiqh books also tend to prohibit transactions with belligerent non-Muslims. From the standpoint of uṣūl fiqh (principles of Islamic Jurisprudence), the fatwa on boycotting Jewish products can be justified because it fulfills the elements of relevant ijtihad methods, namely syadd al-żarāi’ and qiyās.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PBL) has been recognized as an effective approach to enrich the learning process by providing students with opportunities for in-depth exploration of real-world problems. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of PBL in enhancing students' creativity and innovation. This research examines how PBL can encourage students to develop critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills that are relevant to the needs of today's working world. This study used the literature research method. The results show that PBL is successful in creating a more dynamic learning environment and stimulating student creativity. In many cases, students who engage in project-based learning show significant improvement in terms of the ability to think critically and innovatively. In addition, PBL also encourages the development of important 21st century skills such as teamwork, communication and independence. This study found that one of the keys to the success of PBL in enhancing students' creativity and innovation lies in the ability of educators to provide comprehensive challenges to students and keep them engaged in the learning process. However, challenges such as teacher readiness and limited learning time in some contexts are points that require further attention to maximize the effectiveness of PBL.

Abstract

The issue examined in this research is drug abuse among adolescents, which is increasing and becoming a serious problem in Indonesia. The research was conducted in Glindah Kedamean Gresik Village. This research is important because teenagers are the next generation who are vulnerable to the negative influences of drugs, which can damage their physical and mental health as well as disrupt their social relationships and academic achievements. This research aims to raise teenagers' awareness about the dangers of drugs through a socialization program involving an anti-drug youth community (KOPAN – in Indonesia). Problem-solving is carried out through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which involves the active participation of adolescents in the socialization process. These activities include problem identification, development of educational materials, and implementation of socialization. The results of the socialization activities show an increase in teenagers' knowledge about the dangers of drugs. They were enthusiastic and open during the discussion.The impact of this research is the increased awareness and knowledge among teenagers about the risks of drug abuse, as well as the strengthening of social support networks among them. Through collaboration with various parties, it is hoped that these preventive efforts can positively contribute to society and reduce the rate of drug abuse among teenagers

Abstract

This research discusses economic empowerment assistance activities through innovation in the management of salted eggs into buns in Penompo Hamlet, Sukosari Village, Mantup District, Lamongan Regency. This activity was carried out with the aim of increasing local community income by utilizing local resources, namely salted eggs. In the process, training was provided to local business groups regarding processing and marketing techniques for salted egg-based buns using the Asset Based Community (ABCD) method. This method builds public awareness to be aware of the assets owned by the community. That it is important to achieve social change by raising awareness of the community itself by knowing their assets. The asset-based approach uses several strategies, including: Discovery (finding), Dream (dreaming), Design (designing), Define (determining), Destiny (ensuring). The results of this activity show an increase in participants' skills in processing salted eggs into more value-added products, as well as an increase in sales of bun products in the local market. Thus, this program has succeeded in having a positive impact on the economy of the Penompo Hamlet community and encouraging interest in micro-businesses in the area.)

Abstract

The abstract of this research discusses Mind Map learning assistance as a method to facilitate visual-based summary of lesson material for Sukosari Mantup Lamongan Elementary School students. The Mind Map method was chosen because of its ability to improve students' understanding and memory through information visualization. Mentoring activities are carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation and evaluation. In the preparation stage, the service team prepares the necessary materials and tools. During implementation, students are taught how to make Mind Map s using concrete examples, so they can understand how to summarize material effectively. The results of this activity show that students are able to summarize the material better using the Mind Map method. Students' enthusiasm increases, and they demonstrate better abilities in understanding and summarizing lesson information. This research concludes that the use of Mind Map as a learning method has a positive impact on the teaching and learning process in the classroom, and can be an interesting alternative for students in understanding lesson material visually.

Abstract

The dynamics of the development of Islamic education in Indonesia reflect civilization, particularly the important issue of educational diversity, which must be implemented in the daily lives of students. The role of Islamic education is essential for preserving, maintaining, passing down to future generations, and continuing beliefs and traditions. The concept of nationalism has become one of the effective strategies for the existence of Islamic education development in Indonesia. This research was conducted to understand Abdurrahman Wahid's concept of nationalism and then analyze its implications in Islamic education during the 4.0 industrial revolution era. This research uses library research, which contains theories relevant to the research problems. The research method used is the qualitative research method. The research results show that: (1) The concept of nationalism from the perspective of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid is pluralism that must be embraced rather than merely tolerated, such as diversity in various aspects of justice; democracy based on three main principles, namely freedom, justice, and deliberation; humanism as a way of viewing humanity not as a mere collection of individuals but as a whole that has a place in the realm of God, in the realm of law, and does not discriminate between one and another. (2) The implications of the concept of nationalism from the perspective of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid in Islamic education during the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, namely Neo-Modernism-based Islamic education, which synthesizes two types of education: classical Islamic education and modern Western education, without forgetting the essence of Islamic teachings; liberation-based Islamic education that frees individuals or students from traditional shackles, which are then reprocessed by critically examining educational thoughts born from modern Western influences; multiculturalism-based Islamic education that fosters a high sense of tolerance and appreciation for differences among people, especially in the highly pluralistic context of Indonesia.

Abstract

Teaching the Al-Qur’an is the core of Islamic education, with the main aim of guiding children in reading, studying and understanding the Koran from an early age. The Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) serves as an important platform to instill a love of the Al-Qur'an in children. Even though many TPQs have been successful with good administration and management and a large number of students, there are still TPQs that have not developed, such as the TPQ in Glidah Kedamean Village, Gresik. Observations show that learning management at TPQ does not meet recognized management and curriculum standards in education, resulting in suboptimal educational attainment. Responding to this problem, the Glidah Village TPQ Teacher Management Optimization team, together with KSPPS BMT Khoiru Ummah, initiated an intensive community service-based mentoring program using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The mentoring process involves several stages, starting from identifying problems through field observations, organizing and planning programs, to implementing program actions. The results of discussions and implementation of mentoring revealed a number of problems faced by teachers regarding TPQ management. The implementation of this mentoring activity has been empirically proven to have a positive impact, increasing the effectiveness of management and the quality of education at the TPQ.

Abstract

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed the way we understand and practice religion, including the spread of extremist religious ideologies. Religious moderation education has become an essential tool for strengthening national awareness by instilling values of tolerance, inclusivity, and love for the homeland. This education promotes a balanced and tolerant understanding of religion. However, a significant challenge arises from the overwhelming flow of information on the internet, which is not matched by adequate digital literacy. Therefore, religious moderation education serves as a filter to counter radicalization. This study uses a review research method with a qualitative approach to analyze the implementation of religious moderation education through formal, nonformal, and informal channels. The findings indicate that formal education is effective in instilling moderate character through a systematic structure. Nonformal institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools and study groups, also play a crucial role in spreading moderate Islamic values. Meanwhile, informal education within families provides a vital foundation for instilling these values from an early age. This study recommends strengthening the religious moderation curriculum, optimizing the role of nonformal institutions, and empowering families to enhance national awareness and address the potential for radicalization.

Abstract

Fiqh education in the context of Islam is often understood merely as the transfer of knowledge regarding normative laws. However, the exploration of fiqh education as a process that can shape students' character in accordance with the goals of education, which not only transfers knowledge but also forms individual values and character, has not yet been evident. This is due to the lack of understanding of the essence of fiqh education from the perspective of educational philosophy. This article aims to explain that fiqh should not only be viewed as law but also as education rich in moral and character values. Fiqh education, when analyzed through several philosophical perspectives such as ontological, epistemological, axiological, and methodological studies, reveals its moral and character values. From an ontological perspective, fiqh education can be directed towards understanding the meaning of Islamic education and the relationship between fiqh law and moral values. This shows that fiqh education plays a role in building students' character. In the epistemological aspect, the Qur'an and Hadith serve as the primary sources of knowledge. Teaching methods that include textual, rational, and empirical approaches motivate students to understand the legal context more deeply. Axiology in fiqh education emphasizes the importance of moral values and social responsibility, aiming to shape individuals with high morality. Teaching methodologies are also evolving with new approaches, such as problem-based active learning, to enhance students' interest in understanding the material. Thus, it is hoped that the education of fiqh will not only produce individuals who are well-versed in normative laws but also individuals of noble character in accordance with religious teachings.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the concept of character education in Ta’lim al-Muta’allim by Sheikh Az-Zarnuji and its relevance to strengthening the Profil Pelajar Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin (PPRA). The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques, focusing on an in-depth examination of Sheikh Az-Zarnuji’s narrative on character education in Ta’lim al-Muta’allim. The findings indicate the presence of thirteen core character education concepts presented in the book. These concepts hold significant urgency in an era marked by rapid change and complex moral challenges, where moral degradation poses a serious threat to character formation. The internalization of such character education serves as a moral stronghold, capable of reinforcing character development and fostering a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also creative and spiritually resilient. This study emphasizes that the revitalization of character education in Ta’lim al-Muta’allim is highly relevant as a strategy for character formation grounded in moral and spiritual values, resilience, and integrity. It is expected that these findings can serve as a practical reference for strengthening character education.
