Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior is sexual behavior that is carried out without going through an official marriage process according to the law or religion and beliefs of each. Based on the initial survey results, college students have had premarital sex up to the stage of kissing, touching sensitive parts/areas, and petting to the point of pregnancy. This research determines the effect of exposure to pornography on social media on premarital sex behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Central Kupang. This research is an analytical study, and the design approach is cross-sectional. The sample size was 186 students in classes X and XI. The sampling technique is the probability sampling technique, with the type used being proportionate stratified random sampling. The results showed that from 186 respondents, 139 people had been exposed to pornography on social media, and from 139 respondents who were exposed to pornography, 89 people had light sex, and 50 had heavy sex. The results of the statistical analysis test showed that there was a significant effect between exposure to pornography on social media and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Kupang Tengah, with a p-value of 0.001 (p <0.05). Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that schools and parents can provide education to teenagers to be more selective in using social media and provide sex education as early as possible so that they can know about sex and the impact of having sex at an early age so that teenagers can limit themselves more in behavior, especially premarital sex behavior.

Abstract

Adolescents' nutritional status often changes because of growth and development, which causes height and weight changes. Adolescents' nutritional status change has a relationship with the duration of gadget use. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of gadget use and the nutritional status of adolescents at Labuan Bajo. This research is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sample size is 60 people. Sampling was used stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analyzed by chi-square. The result showed that among 60 respondents, the duration of gadget use was high (57%), and almost all the nutritional status was normal (88%). The chi-square and Fisher's analysis showed no relationship between the duration of gadget use and nutritional status (p-value=0.628). Paying more attention to adolescent screen time is necessary because there are few rules for using gadgets for teenagers by making the rules about time for using gadgets. It would help to make the nutritional status normal and stable.

This type of quantitative research uses a cross sectional study approach. The study population consisted of 210 cadres, with a total sample of 68 cadres using convenience sampling/accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using chi-square statistical test. The results showed that the variables of knowledge (ρ = 0.023), occupation (ρ = 0.022), incentives (ρ = 0.002), and support from community leaders (ρ = 0.043) had a relationship with the activeness of cadres in posyandu activities. Meanwhile, the attitude variable (ρ=0.492) had no relationship with the activeness of cadres in posyandu activities. Puskesmas Kenarilang should improve training on promotive efforts when providing cadres in increasing knowledge about the duties and functions of posyandu. Village and sub-district governments should always provide appropriate incentives as motivation in increasing the activity of cadres in posyandu activities, and it is hoped that community involvement will always support cadres in posyandu activities.

The data obtained were analyzed chi-square test with a significance level of α=0,05. The results showed that the results of the chi-square test for the amount of expenditure (p=0.006), number of family members (p=0,019), and knowledge of maternal nutrition (p=0,000) which means there is a relationship between the amount of expenditure, number of family members and knowledge of nutrition, mothers with the nutritional intake of toddlers. While the results of the chi-square test for nutritional intake of children under five (p=0,000) and infectious diseases (p=0,010) means that there is a significant relationship between nutritional intake of children under five and infectious diseases with nutritional status of children under five.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five years old (children under five) due to chronic malnutrition in the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) and is based on the BB/U or TB/U index with a z-score limit of less than -2 SD to - 3 SD. Stunting can be caused by several factors, namely exclusive breastfeeding, father's education, mother's education, family income, number of children. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors associated with the incidence of stunting in the Naibonat Village, Kupang Regency in 2022. Subjects and Method: This is a case-control study conducted in Naibonat Village, East Kupang, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, in September-October 2022. There were 134 children under five consisting of 67 stunted children under five and 67 children under five who were not stunted. The dependent variable is the incidence of stunting. The independent variables were exclusive breastfeeding, history of infectious diseases, father's education, mother's education, family income, history of LBW, and number of children. Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: Not exclusively breastfed (OR= 4.12; 95% CI= 1.84 to 9.24; p< 0.001), history of father's education was low (OR= 0.34; 95% CI= 0.13 to 0.89; p= 0.024), history of mother's education was low (OR= 0.17; 95% CI= 0.04 to 0.65; p= 0.004), low family income (OR= 0.23; 95% CI= 0.08 to 0.62; p= 0.002), and history of LBW (OR= 0.48; 95% CI= 0.40 to 0.51; p= 0.042) related to the incidence of stunting, and statistically significant. Conclusion: A history of exclusive breastfeeding, a history of low father education, a history of low maternal education, low family income, and a history of LBW are statistically related to the incidence of stunting.
