Based on the initial survey results, college students have had premarital sex up to the stage of kissing, touching sensitive parts/areas, and petting to the point of pregnancy. This research determines the effect of exposure to pornography on social media on premarital sex behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Central Kupang. This research is an analytical study, and the design approach is cross-sectional. The sample size was 186 students in classes X and XI. The sampling technique is the probability sampling technique, with the type used being proportionate stratified random sampling. The results showed that from 186 respondents, 139 people had been exposed to pornography on social media, and from 139 respondents who were exposed to pornography, 89 people had light sex, and 50 had heavy sex. The results of the statistical analysis test showed that there was a significant effect between exposure to pornography on social media and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Kupang Tengah, with a p-value of 0.001 (p <0.05). Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that schools and parents can provide education to teenagers to be more selective in using social media and provide sex education as early as possible so that they can know about sex and the impact of having sex at an early age so that teenagers can limit themselves more in behavior, especially premarital sex behavior.

Abstract

Adolescents' nutritional status often changes because of growth and development, which causes height and weight changes. Adolescents' nutritional status change has a relationship with the duration of gadget use. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of gadget use and the nutritional status of adolescents at Labuan Bajo. This research is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sample size is 60 people. Sampling was used stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analyzed by chi-square. The result showed that among 60 respondents, the duration of gadget use was high (57%), and almost all the nutritional status was normal (88%). The chi-square and Fisher's analysis showed no relationship between the duration of gadget use and nutritional status (p-value=0.628). Paying more attention to adolescent screen time is necessary because there are few rules for using gadgets for teenagers by making the rules about time for using gadgets. It would help to make the nutritional status normal and stable.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which the length/height of a toddler is less when compared to age. Body length/height of toddlers is seen based on the z-score value less than minus two (-2 SD). Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by various factors and is intergenerational. This study was conducted to know the effect of food consumption patterns, dietary restrictions, and family socio-economic factors on the incidence of stunting in children under five in the work area of the Mananga Health Center. This type of research is an analytical observational study with a case-control design. The population of this study is mothers who have children under five aged 24-59 months and a sample of 96 people. The data collected were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed variables of food consumption patterns (p=0,000), dietary restrictions (p=0,001), and family socioeconomic factors (education p=0,000, occupation p=0,000, the number of family members p=0,000, and the income p=0,000) has an effect on the incidence of stunting in children under five in the work area of the Mananga Health Center. Therefore, it is recommended that mothers who have children under five can change their children’s food consumption patterns starting from the selection of food, the type of good food and the frequency of eating their children for early treatment, as well as the need for monitoring the growth of toddlers by measuring their height regularly through Posyandu in the area health center work.

Abstract

Abstract COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a new coronavirus that was discovered in 2019 in Wuhan, China. COVID-19 is now a pandemic that threatens the whole world. Not a few people have created a stigma related to this disease, so Covid-19 survivors are usually feared and very shunned by people who don't understand this disease. This acitivity aimed to reduce the negative stigma towards Covid-19 survivors by utilizing health promotion media i.e. videos, posters, and stickers for four churches in Kupang City, i.e. GMIT Pohonitas Manulai II, GMIT Kota Kupang, GMIT Paulus, and GMIT Ararat. This activity is carried out by creating, setting, broadcasting, and disseminating the health promotion media. The visual and audiovisual media were posted and broadcast at the target locations (four churches). This activity can be carried out well but has encountered problems because the activity was carried out when the Covid-19 pandemic in Kupang City reached PPKM level four, so the church were temporarily closed. For this reason, activities can be carried out when the church is re-opened. Based on the results of observations, with a positive response, the church accepted all the health promotion media provided.
