Abstract

Critical patients who are in the intensive care unit (ICU) generally experience bedrest and require breathing assistance, namely a mechanical ventilator. In bedrest patients, the risk of decubitus ulcers increases due to circulatory obstruction. Normally the skin cannot tolerate prolonged pressure so that patients with immobilization and long bed rest have a greater risk of developing decubitus ulcers. One of the interventions that can be given to patients is progressive mobilization. Giving progressive mobilization will affect the processes of perfusion, diffusion, and distribution of blood and oxygen flow throughout the body so that it will reduce the incidence of pressure sores or even not occur. This study aimed to study the application of level I progressive mobilization in order to prevent decubitus ulcers in at-risk patients. This study was a case report involving 2 respondents in the ICU room of Pandan Arang Regional General Hospital, Boyolali. Participants used to carry out Level I Progressive Mobilization consisted of two ICU patients with mechanical ventilation. The measurement tool used to identify the risk of decubitus ulcers was the Braden Scale. The results of the analysis showed that there was a change in the decubitus ulcer risk score in the two patients involved. Furthermore, it was concluded that the implementation of level I progressive mobilization could prevent or reduce the risk of decubitus ulcers in at-risk patients. Keywords: progressive mobilization; risk of decubitus ulcers; mechanically ventilated patients ABSTRAK Pasien kiritis yang ada di intensive care unit (ICU) umumnya mengalami bedrest dan memerlukan alat bantu nafas yakni ventilator mekanik.

Abstract

Background: The Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is a crucial component in supporting the digital transformation of healthcare services, particularly through the implementation of electronic medical records. The transition from manual, paper-based medical records to electronic medical records has generated a positive response from users. This response has impacted nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records. This satisfaction is measured through five dimensions of End-User Computer Satisfaction (EUCS). Purpose: To analyze the determinants of nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records. Method: This quantitative study used a descriptive-analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire based on the five EUCS dimensions. Results: The determination test showed that all EUCS dimensions were determinants of nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that format had the most significant influence on nurse satisfaction, followed by timeliness and accuracy, while ease of use had a negative influence. Conclusion: All EUCS dimensions (format, content, ease of use, timeliness, and accuracy) were determinants of nurses' satisfaction with nursing care documentation in electronic medical records at Kota Regional General Hospital. Statistics show that formatting has the most significant impact on user satisfaction. Suggestion: To support the smooth operation of electronic medical record applications, a stable internet connection, an attractive format, ease of system operation, content tailored to user needs, and accurate data are required. To improve user satisfaction, regular and planned evaluations involving various parties within the agency are necessary, and electronic medical record users must respond promptly to complaints and suggestions.   Keywords: Electronic Medical Record; Nursing Care Documentation; Nurse Satisfaction.   Pendahuluan: Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS) merupakan bagian penting dalam mendukung transformasi digital pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya melalui penerapan Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME). Abstract

Hemodialysis is an essential therapy for patients with end-stage kidney disease; however, it is often accompanied by the risk of malnutrition, which contributes to reduced quality of life and increased mortality. Intradialytic eating (IDE) has the potential to offer clinical benefits for hemodialysis patients, but its practice remains controversial, particularly regarding safety and possible clinical outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the safety and clinical impact of IDE through a systematic review of the available scientific evidence. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using PubMed, Cochrane CENTRAL, ScienceDirect, EBSCO, and Scopus databases. Studies were selected based on relevance to the PICO framework. A total of 9,142 articles were identified, and after data screening and extraction, eight studies met the inclusion criteria. The findings suggest that intradialytic eating (IDE) has the potential to improve nutritional status and quality of life in hemodialysis patients at risk of malnutrition, although it still carries the risk of hypotension and blood pressure instability. Safe and effective implementation of IDE requires careful patient selection based on hemodynamic stability, provision of high-protein and low-electrolyte foods, administration during the mid-to-late phase of dialysis, and close clinical monitoring. Multidisciplinary team involvement and supportive health service policies are crucial for the long-term success of IDE practices.

Abstract

Low utilization of dental services among pregnant women, ranging from 35.5% to 49%, is often caused by barriers such as cost, limited awareness, myths about oral health during pregnancy, and fears regarding dental treatment’s impact on the fetus. Local data from the prenatal class and dental clinic at Puskesmas Baki, Gedongan, Sukoharjo, indicate similarly low rates of dental check-ups. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the ‘Ibu Peri Cerita’ mobile application as a tool for self-screening and improving oral health knowledge during pregnancy. A pre-post test design was used with an experimental sample of 23 pregnant women, who were first asked to answer ten oral health knowledge questions.. Participants then used the application to perform a self-assessment and receive educational content, followed by a post-test. The results showed a notable increase in knowledge scores, with the average pre-test score at 4.61 improving to 6.48 post-intervention. Minimum scores increased from 1 to 4, and maximum scores from 8 to 9. These findings suggest that the ‘Ibu Peri Cerita’ application is effective in increasing oral health literacy among pregnant women. The improvement in awareness is expected to support better prenatal health outcomes and contribute to reducing the risk of low birth weight and stunting.
