Abstract

Indonesian people tend to use medicines made from natural ingredients to maintain a healthy body. Based on traditional medicine laws and regulations, it is prohibited to use isolated or synthetic chemicals with medicinal, narcotic, or psychotropic properties, as well as ingredients from protected animals or plants. However, there are still many jamu that contain medicinal chemicals that are freely circulating on the market. This study aims to analyze the medicinal chemicals of allopurinol, prednisone, and dexamethasone in jamu for gout circulating in Banda Aceh using the thin layer chromatography (TLC) method. This research is experimental in nature and involves qualitative laboratory tests with three samples of gout jamu taken based on the purposive sampling method with three repetitions of observations on TLC carried out by looking at the spots under a 254 nm UV lamp, then comparing the Rf value between the test solution and the sample solution. Based on the results of observations from both methods, it is suspected that the three negative samples contained medicinal chemicals such as allopurinol and prednisone because the Rf values were different between the working standards and the samples. The positive dexamethasone occurred in the three jamu. This is not in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia number 007 of 2012 concerning registration of traditional medicines, which states that traditional medicines are prohibited from using isolated chemicals, which are often called medicinal chemicals.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Universal Design for Learning approach to optimize inclusive student motivation at the UPTD of SD Negeri 8 Makmur. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The data sources of this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from observations of student activities in the learning process. While secondary data are in the form of document data on the number of inclusive students at the UPTD of SD Negeri 8 Makmur. The subjects of this study were 4 inclusive students at the UPTD of SD Negeri 8 Makmur. Data collection techniques were through observation and documentation. Data collection tools were in the form of observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used percentage analysis. The results of the study showed that the learning motivation of inclusive students was classified as very good in terms of; a) the desire and desire to succeed by 93% in the very good category, b) the encouragement and need to learn with a score of 88% in the very good category, c) the existence of appreciation in learning with a score of 94% in the very good category, d) the existence of interesting activities in learning with a score of 93% in the very good category, and the existence of a conducive learning environment with an average score of 81% in the very good category. Learning activity activities were reviewed from the aspects of; a) Visual Activities, with a score of 93% in the Very Good category, b) Listening Activities with a score of 87% in the very good category, c) Oral Activities, with a score of 6% in the very poor category, d) Writing Activities with a score of 69% in the good category. The lowest achievement of inclusive student activities was in Oral Activities. This can be caused by several factors, such as limited communication skills, difficulty in understanding the subject matter, or lack of self-confidence.

Abstract

This article, titled "The Use of Audio-Visual Media through Deep Learning in Writing Procedure Texts for Phase D Students at SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi," aims to describe the use of audio-visual media via deep learning in procedure text writing instruction and to assess its effectiveness among Phase D students at SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research subjects were seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis comprised data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the use of audio-visual media through deep learning was implemented in three stages: understanding, applying, and reflecting. In the understanding stage, students observed videos and identified the elements of procedure texts. In the applying stage, students drafted procedure texts individually based on the understanding they had gained. In the reflecting stage, students and the teacher engaged in reflection and received feedback on the written work. The use of audio-visual media through deep learning proved effective, evidenced by an average student score of 85, classified as "excellent." Furthermore, interview results revealed positive responses from both teachers and students, as the method enhanced attention, engagement, comprehension, and students' ability to write procedure texts. Thus, the use of audio-visual media through deep learning is effective for teaching procedure text writing to Phase D students at SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi.
