Abstract

Research aims: To examine the influence of transformational leadership and digital competence on employee performance in Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) in the Riau Islands Province, with self-efficacy as a mediating factor and organizational support as a moderating factor.Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative approach using a survey method was employed. Data were collected from 185 employees in OPD using a structured questionnaire. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS software, allowing for both direct and indirect effect evaluations.Research findings: Transformational leadership and digital competence were found to significantly enhance employee performance, both directly and indirectly, with self-efficacy mediating their positive effects. Organizational support further strengthened these relationships as a moderating factor. Together, these variables accounted for 90.3% of the variance in performance, emphasizing the need for leadership that inspires and equips employees with digital skills to thrive in a technology-driven workplace.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The study integrates leadership, digital competence, and psychological constructs (self-efficacy and organizational support) in the context of public sector organizations. It highlights the interplay between these variables, offering a comprehensive framework for improving employee performance in a digital era.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The study emphasizes the importance of developing transformational leadership through targeted training and prioritizing digital competence to address digital-era challenges. Organizations should strengthen support systems, such as continuous training and recognition programs, to boost employee confidence and engagement, fostering sustained performance, innovation, and resilience.Research Limitations/Implications: This study focuses on Regional Apparatus Organizations in Riau Islands Province, limiting generalizability. Its cross-sectional design restricts causal inference. As such, future research should consider longitudinal and qualitative approaches for deeper insights into these relationships.

Abstract

The International Community Development Program for community service is an initiative that involves collaboration between universities or institutions and international communities in efforts to improve societal well-being. Through international service activities, educational institutions can expand their network of cooperation with institutions from other countries. This opens opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and cross-cultural resources. The program focuses on community empowerment through various activities such as outreach in senior citizen care centers aimed at providing education and special attention to the elderly who need care in terms of well-being. Additionally, a sharing session for the younger generation is conducted to enhance their capacity in facing future challenges. Another activity is a workshop on promoting batik weaving products to the youth, aimed at preserving local culture while encouraging innovation in the creative economy sector. The final activity, tree planting for environmental sustainability, serves as one of the climate change mitigation efforts and helps preserve biodiversity. The outcomes of this international community service program not only have a direct impact but also open opportunities for sustainable development across various sectors including social, cultural, and environmental areas in Palembang City.

Abstract

Speed Rail (KCIC) project, developed under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The research addresses the urgency of assessing whether large-scale infrastructure projects financed through bilateral loans risk creating long-term debt dependency, drawing lessons from Sri Lanka’s Hambantota Port case. The objectives are to evaluate the potential of the KCIC to drive economic growth while identifying financial vulnerabilities, and to explore how such insights can contribute to civic education and policy literacy in Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive case study approach is applied, using secondary data from government reports, academic literature, and credible media sources, framed within dependency theory and the debt-trap diplomacy discourse. Findings reveal that although the KCIC has potential benefits for connectivity and investment attraction, significant cost overruns and reliance on long-term foreign loans may expose Indonesia to fiscal risks similar to those experienced by Sri Lanka. Policy recommendations include diversifying financing sources, enhancing project governance, and embedding infrastructure analysis into public policy and strategic leadership education. These measures can strengthen national capacity to negotiate and manage large-scale infrastructure projects, aligning economic development with sustainable sovereignty.

Abstract

In a rapidly evolving business environment, firms are increasingly challenged to adapt and innovate to maintain competitiveness. Green supply chain integration has emerged as a strategic approach for firms to align operational processes with sustainability objectives. At the same time, organizational resilience is recognized as a critical capability for navigating environmental and market disruptions. Despite the growing importance of these factors, studies exploring their combined impact on sustainable business performance remain limited. Grounded in dynamic capabilities theory, this study investigates the roles of green competitive advantage and organizational resilience in fostering sustainable performance through an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. Initially, a quantitative survey involving 450 SME managers in Madura was conducted to empirically test the research model using structural equation modeling (SEM). Subsequently, qualitative interviews with selected managers provided nuanced insights into the mechanisms underpinning these relationships. Findings affirm that green supply chain integration and organizational resilience significantly enhance sustainable business performance, with green competitive advantage serving as a key intermediary that strengthens this relationship. This study demonstrates that embedding green supply chain practices directly into core business strategies improves SMEs' adaptability to environmental changes and increases operational efficiency, providing measurable competitive advantages in dynamic market environments.
