Abstract

This study investigates how key promotional strategies influence online shopping interest among Muslim university students, focusing specifically on discounts, free shipping offers, and cash-on-delivery (COD) payment systems in the Shopee e-commerce platform. Using a quantitative approach with survey data from 100 Muslim students in Kendari City selected through quota sampling, and the research employs ordinal regression analysis to examine the relationships between these promotional elements and shopping interest. The findings reveal that discounts and free shipping offers significantly influence shopping interest, with discount promotions showing the strongest effect (odds ratio of 2.19), followed by free shipping (odds ratio of 1.29). Interestingly, the COD payment system demonstrates no significant impact on shopping interest. The model explains 52.3% of the variance in shopping interest, highlighting the substantial role of promotional strategies in driving e-commerce adoption among Muslim students. These results provide valuable insights for e-commerce platforms and marketers in developing targeted promotional strategies for the Muslim student segment. The study contributes to the understanding of Muslim consumer behaviour in digital commerce by demonstrating how different promotional tools influence their shopping interests while considering their unique characteristics as digital-native consumers with specific religious values and limited disposable income.

Abstract

The development of zakat potential in fact does not go hand in hand with education and knowledge about zakat. One of the problems is the absence of zakat education curriculum specifically. This research attempts to examine the strategy of zakat education in madrasah. The focus of this research is using BMC (business model canvas) strategy that can be used in non-profit organizations. The method used is qualitative and the source of data obtained by revealing phenomena in the community as an objective secondary data source in the field. Researchers used data triangulation in the form of interviews, observation and documentation in data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are four elements that are important aspects of zakat education in madrasah, namely customer segments, value propositions, key activities and key resources. So that it takes a joint role to implement zakat education in madrasas better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Return On Asset (ROA), Earning per Share (EPS), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on the Return of Sharia Stocks Listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) in 2021-2023 both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 61 infrastructure sector companies. The sample of this study used purposive sampling with 19 companies that met the criteria and 57 samples were obtained using panel data. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that: ROA has a significant effect on stock returns, this shows that the higher the ROA value, the greater the stock returns generated, because ROA indicates how efficient the company is in utilizing its assets to generate profits. EPS has a significant negative effect on stock returns, which means that when EPS increases, its stock returns actually decrease. DER does not have a significant effect on stock returns, this is because DER which reflects the company's capital structure does not always reflect stock market performance directly. And ROA, EPS and DER together affect stock returns. Which means that if viewed simultaneously, the three variables can explain or influence the rise and fall of stock returns.

This research seeks to explore the fundraising strategies employed by Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ) in Southeast Sulawesi through the application of the Business Model Canvas approach, which has been adapted using the Social Enterprise Model Canvas framework—collectively referred to as the ZakatUtilization Model Canvas (ZUMC). The study focuses on two institutions: Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) and Wahdah Inspirasi Zakat (WIZ). A descriptive qualitative method was adopted, utilizing data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that strategicpartnerships with government bodies such as Baznas and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as well as private entities like PLN and Telkomsel, play a crucial role in enhancing zakat fundraising effectiveness. Moreover, diversification of funding sources and the integration of digital technology have proven to expand outreach and strengthen the transparency of zakat distribution. The implications of this study highlight the need for stronger collaboration among government, private, and community sectors in managing zakat to ensure more effective and efficient distribution. In addition, the use of digital tools in zakat fundraising contributes significantly to wider access and increased transparency, which in turn fosters greater public trust and engagement..
