Abstract

Before 2023, the price of gambir in Cipang Kiri Hulu Village, Rokan IV Koto Subdistrict, reached IDR 100,000 per kg. However, the following year, the price drastically dropped to IDR 30,000 per kg. The impact of this decline in gambir farmers' income was heavily felt by the community of Cipang Kiri Hulu Village, where the village's economy, which was previously highly dependent on the agricultural sector, particularly gambir, became severely affected. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to analyze the income of gambir farmers in Cipang Kiri Hulu Village, Rokan IV Koto Subdistrict, in 2023, and to analyze the factors of land area, age of farmers, education level, labor force, gambir price, production quantity, and production costs that affect the income of gambir farmers in Cipang Kiri Hulu Village, Rokan IV Koto Subdistrict. The research method used is quantitative, with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results show that the average production of gambir farmers reaches 2,102 kg, with a total income of IDR 111,966,528. Fixed costs for farming tools and variable costs such as herbicide, repairs, and external labor total IDR 9,324,368, resulting in an income of IDR 102,642,160. The t-test results show that the age of farmers, education level, gambir price, production quantity, and production costs significantly affect income, while land area and labor force do not. This regression model explains 100% of the variability in gambir farmers' income, with an Adjusted R Square value of 1,000.

Abstract

Penilaian kinerja karyawan yang objektif dan sistematis menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia serta efisiensi manajemen di perusahaan. Namun, Palava Adventure menghadapi kendala dalam proses pemilihan karyawan terbaik, antara lain: penilaian yang subjektif, ketergantungan hanya pada absensi, dan belum adanya sistem yang terstruktur. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diperlukan mengimplementasikan metode sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) pemilihan karyawan terbaik. Metode yang dipilih yaitu menggunakan metode Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS). Metode WASPAS dipilih karena kemampuannya menggabungkan Weighted Sum Model (WSM) dan Weighted Product Model (WPM), sehingga menghasilkan perangkingan yang lebih akurat, stabil, dan objektif. Penelitian dilakukan melalui tahapan: studi literatur, pengumpulan data primer (wawancara dan observasi), penentuan kriteria dan bobot, perancangan sistem, implementasi metode WASPAS, hingga simulasi perhitungan. Pada penilaian keryawan terbaik di Palava Adventure menggunakan lima kriteria utama, yaitu: Absensi (10%), Lama Bekerja (15%), Skill (20%), Kerjasama Tim (25%), dan Hasil Kerja (30%). Untuk mengetahui tingkat akurasi perhitungan yang dihasilkan oleh sistem maka dilakukan juga perhitungan matematika secara manual sebagai pembanding. Hasil dari sistem yang dirancang dapat menunjukan kesesuaian hasil perhitungan rumus metode WASPAS yang dihitung secara manual maupun dari perhitungan otomatis menggunakan sistem. Selain itu pengimplementasian metode ini mampu membuktikan bahwa metode WASPAS efektif dalam memberikan rekomendasi yang transparan dan terukur. Dengan demikian, sistem ini tidak hanya membantu manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan, tetapi juga berpotensi meningkatkan motivasi, kepuasan kerja, dan produktivitas karyawan secara keseluruhan karena penilaian dilakukan secara obyektif sesuai data yang diinput

Abstract

The growing demand for energy aligns with the increasing intensity of human activities. Most energy currently relies on non-renewable fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas, which will eventually deplete if continuously used. Renewable energy serves as a potential alternative to address this issue, one of which is solar energy. Solar energy can be converted into electricity using solar panels, which currently have an efficiency of 14–20% at 25°C. However, every ±1°C temperature increase reduces solar panel efficiency by 0.5%. To mitigate this issue, a cooling system is required to lower the temperature of the solar panels. One such cooling method is passive cooling using heatsinks. This study aims to analyze various heatsink designs that achieve the most significant temperature reduction in solar panels and examine the impact of these designs on solar panel efficiency. The method used in this research is Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The heatsink design variations studied include wave-shaped, square, and triangular designs made from aluminum, copper, and an aluminum-copper alloy. The solar panels used have capacities of 50 WP, 100 WP, and 120 WP. The results show that a 50 WP solar panel equipped with a wave-shaped heatsink made of copper achieves the lowest temperature, 45.85°C, with the smallest efficiency reduction of 13.44%.

Abstract

In a multicultural society, interaction between ethnic groups plays a crucial role in maintaining social cohesion. Schools, as a small representation of a diverse culture, play a strategic role in fostering social harmony among students from diverse cultural backgrounds. This study aims to describe and analyze patterns of social interaction between Malay and Javanese students in a multicultural school environment, particularly in a transmigration area. The primary focus of the study is patterns of social interaction, the factors that influence them, and the role of schools in fostering cross-cultural social integration. The research approach used was a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving students, teachers, and the principal. The results indicate that interactions between Malay and Javanese students still tend to be structured along ethnic lines. This pattern reflects a tendency toward exclusivity in social interactions. Factors such as differences in language and cultural habits, unequal participation in school activities, and the uneven implementation of inclusive policies contribute to limited cross-cultural interaction. Thus, education is expected to function not only as a means of recognising diversity, but also as a vehicle for fostering social harmony in the school environment.

Abstract

This research aims to study gelatinization profile and physical properties of ripe and overripe canistel flour. Data statistically analyzed using the independent sample T-tes. Analyzed of the chemical properties of canistel fruits include water content, starch content, and sugar content, while analyzed canistel flour includes gelatinization profile, shape and size of starch granules with color test. The results of the analyzed showed that the water content and sugar content of ripe canistel fruit is higher than those of overripe canistel fruit, while the lower starch content. The total starch and amylose content of ripe canistel flour is higher than that of overripe flour. Analyzed the results of gelatinization profile ripe canistel flour has a peak viscosity, final viscosity, and  higher gelatinization temperature than the finished canistel flour and the gelatinization faster time. Analysis of the physical properties of the color parameters of canistel flour produces the reddish yellow color, while of the shape and size of the canistel flour starch granule shape that are round with size ranges between 2-7 µm.Keywords: Canistel fruit, canistel flour, gelatization profile.
