Abstract

The 4P concept is a new idea in the field of martial arts activities. This concept was born out of concern about cases of violence that occur among the community, especially women and children. The 4P concept must be understood by teachers, martial arts trainers and martial arts practitioners so that the public understands more about the importance of understanding the concept of self-defense as a whole and in general. Socialization activities for the 4P concept were carried out in several locations in two different cities. The main target of this activity is martial arts practitioners who teach martial arts activities directly. Activities are carried out in several locations with a time allocation of one day for each session. The total number of participants who took part in this socialization activity was 120 people, consisting of self-defense trainers and self-defense practitioners, divided into 3 different times. Abstract

In various pencak silat matches it is often found that athletes lack good sickle kick speed as a result of attacks that use elements of speed, explosive power, endurance that are carried out repeatedly become less patterned and have no effect on opponents. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant effect of resistance band training using the set system method on the speed of adolescent pugilists' sickle kicks. The method in this study is a quantitative descriptive experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were 19 students and extracurricular students of SMKN 12 BANDUNG, and the sample was 14, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Instruments used peching, whistles, cameras, and Kinovea software. The results showed that resistance band training using the set system method had a significant effect on the speed of adolescent pugilists' sickle kicks. It can be concluded that speed training with a clear and routine training programme can increase sickle kick speed.

Abstract

Identifikasi bakat merupakan suatu proses pendeteksian suatu kemampuan secara sistematis, ilmiah dan terukur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi atlet berbakat cabang olahraga karate pada anak usia 7-12 tahun melalui tes identifikasi bakat. Sampel penelitian ini adalah putra dan putri usia 7-12 tahun di Kabupaten Bandung yang berjumlah 45 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Data tes bakat diperoleh dari 10 butir tes yang terdiri dari tes antropometri meliputi: tinggi badan, berat badan, tinggi duduk dan panjang lengan serta tes fisik meliputi: lompat vertikal, lempar dan tangkap bola tenis, lempar bola basket, lari bolak balik, lari cepat 40 meter dan tes kebugaran olahraga bertingkat. Untuk mengatasi satuan skor yang berbeda, maka data diubah ke dalam bentuk t-skor kemudian diambil rata-ratanya kemudian data dipecah ke dalam 5 kategori sesuai dengan rumus norma yang berlaku. Teknik pengumpulan data yang  digunakan adalah tes dan pengukuran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan hasil persentase. Maka, hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar subjek penelitian cukup berbakat cabang olahraga karate dengan persentase sebesar 40% cukup berbakat.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of static stretching on flexibility improvement in Taekwondo athletes. Specifically, the purpose of the research is to observe the effects of implementing this method over 14 sessions (conducted three times per week). The research method used is an experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 12 athletes. To measure flexibility, the study employed the Maximal Hip Flexion Activation Knee Extension (MHFAKE) test. Quantitative data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results show that static stretching significantly improves flexibility, with the average score increasing from 35.83 to 21.66 (50.00%). The Wilcoxon test indicated a p-value of 0.002 < 0.05, meaning the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and there is a significant effect. In conclusion, static stretching has a significant impact on the improvement of flexibility in Taekwondo athletes' muscles.

Abstract

Kemampuan vo2max dan kemampuan anaerobic power merupakan salah satu unsur kondisi fisik yang berperan sangat penting dalam olahraga permainan termasuk cabang olahraga hoki. Segala bentuk aktivitas fisik, pada waktu istirahat setelah kegiatan latihan, melibatkan proses sistem energi aerobik dan anaerobik secara umum yang harus selalu seimbang, karena mengembangkan kemampuan vo2max yang besar dapat memperagakan olahraga dengan durasi yang lebih panjang, menjadi dasar pengembangan kapasitas anaerobik, pemulihan cepat dari kelelahan dan meningkatkan output power, sehingga kedua komponen fisik tersebut berhubungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan ntuk mengetahui hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan vo2max dengan anaerobic power. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif korelasinal dengan teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 12 orang dari 30 anggota UKM hoki putra UPI. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Bleep Test untuk mengukur kemampuan vo2max dan RAST (Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test) untuk mengukur anaerobic power. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan vo2max dan anaerobic power. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan vo2max memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kemampuan anaerobic power.

Abstract

Background. Speed as a physical element plays an important role that is used to hit, kick, parry, and others. there are still many athletes when hitting Gyaku Tsuki the punch is slow because the skills in hitting gyaku tsuki have not shown maximum performance, which is most likely influenced by a number of supporting factors that are still less than optimal. Objectives. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying resistance band training on the speed of gyaku tsuki punches on Karateka Dojo Hikari Karate Team. Methods. The research design used is one group pre test- post test, The sample withdrawal in this study was using purposive sampling, namely the population taken was only male athletes totaling 10 male athletes in the Dojo Hikari Karate Team, with an average age of 15-18 years. The research instrument used was the Velocity Speed Gun. The data was processed and analyzed using the normality test with Shapiro-Wilk then analyzed using the independent t test with SPSS 23. Results. The results show a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.00, based on the test results, the value of Sig. (2-tailed)

Abstract

Keterampilan komunikasi sosial merupakan kemampuan penting yang perlu dimiliki mahasiswa untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan baru serta menjalin relasi dengan orang lain secara lebih efektif. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterkaitan antara program MBKM Kampus Mengajar dengan kemampuan komunikasi sosial mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel terdiri atas 9 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga yang telah mengikuti program MBKM Kampus Mengajar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket atau kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi product moment dengan bantuan SPSS 23 for Windows. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat antara partisipasi dalam program MBKM Kampus Mengajar dengan keterampilan komunikasi sosial mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterlibatan dalam program tersebut berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi sosial mahasiswa Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga.

Abstract

Study Purpose. The background of this study is the low kicking speed of several junior karate athletes, which impacts the effectiveness of attacks during competition. The aim of this study is to improve the kicking quality, specifically the speed of the mawashi geri kicks of junior karate athletes. Materials and Methods. The research method used was an experiment with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 10 junior karate athletes with an age range of 15-17 years who were divided into two groups, namely the knee jump training group and the box jump training group . The research instrument used was a mawashi geri kick speed test by recording the time needed to perform three kicks as quickly as possible. The tools needed include a stopwatch, a meter, and a punching bag. The data were analyzed using a normality test, a homogeneity test, a paired sample t-test, and an independent sample t-test. Results. The average percentage increase in the knee jump group was 11.84%, while the box jump group increased by 6.64%, with an overall average increase reaching 9.24%. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results (p <0.05), while the results of the independent sample t-test showed no significant difference between the two methods (p>0.05). Conclusion. Thus, it can be concluded that plyometric training, both bent knee jumps and box jumps, is effective in increasing the speed of mawashi geri kicks in junior karate athletes. However, bent-knee jumps yielded greater average gains than box jumps, as the coordination of the knee-to-chest jump is considered to best align with the characteristics of the mawashi geri kick technique.
