Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student satisfaction in learning mathematics offline during the pandemic. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIB SMPN 2 Wulanggitang, totalling 20 people. Data collection methods used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis with percentage technique. The results showed that of the 20 subjects studied, there were 3 students or 15% of the Students whose satisfaction levels in learning mathematics online during the pandemic (P), 16 Students or 80% of students whose satisfaction levels in learning mathematics online during the pandemic period was less satisfied (KP), and one student of 5% student whose satisfaction level in learning mathematics online during the pandemic is not satisfied (TP). This shows that offline learning of mathematics during the pandemic at SMPN 2 Wulanggitang is an obstacle to student satisfaction levels.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) student learning activities in the learning process after applying the STAD type cooperative learning model for triangle material in class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Ende; (2) the improvement of students' mathematics learning outcomes through a cooperative approach to class VII STAD type of SMP Negeri 3 Ende. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were 20 class VII A students at SMP Negeri 3 Ende. Data collection techniques carried out were tests, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is individual learning completeness, classical completeness and the percentage of learning outcomes. The results showed that the overall cycle I and cycle II experienced an increase. The percentage increase in the implementation of teacher activities was 15.6% in the very good category, the percentage of student involvement and activity was 20% in the very good category and the percentage increase in classical completeness was 25% in the very good category. From the results of these observations and analysis, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Learning Model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) should increase activity and learning outcomes for triangle material in class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Ende.

Abstract

Readers can verify the information or read more about the topic. The bibliography also allows the author to retrace the steps that have been taken and find information that the author has used for the assignment and find further views or ideas discussed by the author. In fact, students have not been able to use the Mendeley application in writing citations and making a bibliography, whereas nowadays students are required to write articles that will be published in national journals before graduation. Therefore, Mendeley training is needed for fluency in article preparation, because all national journals demand to use of the Mendeley application in citation writing and making a bibliography. The purpose of this training is for students to be able to write good and correct citations and bibliography. Implementation Method The approach method used is direct training on proposals that have been prepared by students who are programming the final project. This training was carried out at the University of Flores for 8th-semester students of the mathematics education study program who programmed their final project. The total number of students who participated in the training was 20 people, requiring participants to bring their own laptops and proposals. The method is used in the form of lectures, practice question sessions, and answers. Participants are enthusiastic and motivated to take part in the training because the knowledge gained from this training will greatly assist participants in writing final assignments and articles. More than 80% of students are able to install applications and plug-in Ms. Word independently. However, some students still have difficulty registering the application using email. Students are expected to carry out continuous exercises so that they can apply Mendeley in the life of the scientific community.

Abstract

Online learning has become a problem for students and parents since the Covid-19 pandemic. Carrying out tutoring of mathematics for students is an alternative problem-solving done by lecturers in the mathematics education study program, at the University of Flores. Home tutoring activities are carried out at RT 003 Paupire sub-district, Ende Tengah District, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16.00-17.30 WITA. The participants are elementary school students who live in RT 003. Methods of implementation include lectures, question and answer/discussion, assignments, and evaluation methods. Based on the results of observation and evaluation of learning at each meeting and every week it was found that students were motivated in learning and obtained increased learning outcomes.

Abstract

Orientasi pembelajaran yang sedang berkembang saat ini yaitu pembelajaran berfokus pada keterampilan abad ke-21. Keterampilan abad 21 ini dianggap penting untuk dikuasai oleh mereka yang produktif dan ingin tetap bertahan. Perkembangan pendidikan matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar sampai saat ini masih menunjukkan orientasi kegiatan pembelajaran pada pemecahan masalah agar siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk, mengetahui perbedaan rerata siswa dalam penerapan problem based learning dan siswa yang diterapan pembelajaran konvensional untuk materi geometri. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPK St Ursula dengan Sampel kelas VII D kelas ekperimen berjumlah 15 siswa dan kelas VII B kelas kontrol berjumlah 15 siswa. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analisis Kovarian, Perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi syarat validitas, reliabilitas sensitivitas. Berdasarkan hasil anakova dengan uji homogenitas, dari perhitungan didapat Fhitung = 0,3765 dan Ftabel dengan taraf nyata 5% = 4,010 sehingga Fhitung<Ftabel menyebabkan terima H0 dan tolak H1 yang menunjukkan varians kedua sampel homogen. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa problem based learning efektif dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas khususnya di sekolah dasar, harus dilakukan dengan metode yang menyenangkan agar siswa terlibat aktif dan dapat menumbuhkan mathematical thinking. Karena tingkat sekolah dasar adalah modal memperoleh ilmu untuk melanjutkan ketingkat yang lebih tinggi. Kemampuan mathematical thinking meliputi aspek specialization, generalization, conjecturing, abstraction, reasoning and proving. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menerapkan problem based learning dalam meningkatkan mathematical thinking siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design., sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan mathematical thinking yang signifikan antara siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan yang dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Perbedaan capaian kemampuan yang dibangun oleh empat indikator yakni specializing, generalizing, conjecturing and convincing antara siswa yang memperoleh model problem based learning dan model konvensional hanya terjadi pada siswa dengan kemampuan awal kategori sedang, dengan demikian model problem based learning efektif dalam meningkatkan mathematical thinking siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Rendahnya mathematical attitude siswa akan berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman konsep geometri siswa. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya pemahaman siswa adalah guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah, belum menggunakan modul ajar yang berpusat pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis problem-based learning terintegrasi etnomatematika gerak tari Wanda Pa’u untuk meningkatkan mathematical attitude siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang mengimplementasikan model Borg and Gall. Subjek penelitian melibatkan sebanyak 35 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket yang disusun berdasarkan Skala Likert. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi angket validasi ahli materi, ahli model pembelajaran, dan guru matematika. Teknik analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan valid dari segi materi, segi model pembelajaran dan guru dengan skor nilai 91,12%, 92,53% dan 90,47%. Ditemukan juga pembanding hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan dengan modul ajar berbasis problem based learning terintegrasi etnomatematika dan siswa yang tidak menggunakan modul ajar yaitu nilai rata-rata 89,24 dan 56,12. Sedangkan penilaian siswa terhadap semua aspek dalam modul ini dinilai siswa dengan skor 93,65%. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis problem-based learning terintegrasi etnomatematika valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan mathematical attitude di siswa sekolah dasar. The low mathematical attitude of students will have an impact on the low understanding of the concept of geometry. One of the causes of the low understanding of students is that teachers still use the lecture method, without yet using student-centered teaching modules. The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching module based on problem-based learning integrated with the ethnomathematics of the wanda pa'u dance movement to improve students' mathematical attitude. The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D), which implements the Borg and Gall model. The research subjects involved 35 students. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires compiled based on the Likert Scale. The data collection instruments used included validation questionnaires from material experts, learning model experts, and mathematics teachers. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. This study obtained results that showed validity in terms of material, learning model, and teacher with scores of 91.12%, 92.53%, and 90.47%. A comparison of the learning outcomes of students who used the ethnomathematics-integrated problem-based learning module and those who did not use the module was also found, with an average score of 89.24 and 56.12, respectively. Meanwhile, students' assessments of all aspects of the module were rated 93.65%. Thus, it is concluded that the ethnomathematics-integrated problem-based learning module is valid, practical, and effective in improving mathematical attitudes in elementary school students.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan ketrampilan penting yang perlu dikembangkan sejak sekolah dasar, namun proses pembelajaran disekolah belum merangsang siswa untuk berpikir kritis, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan model project-based learning berbasis etnomatematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model Borg dan Gall. Tahapan penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan produk, pengembangan produk, validasi ahli, uji coba, dan uji keefektifan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil Validasi menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar sangat valid dengan skor 88,5. Kepraktisan dinilai dari angket respon guru (96%). Kefektifan modul ajar dilihat dari nilai p yang signifikan (p > 0,05) dengan pola distribusi normal. Sedangkan N-gain score menunjukkan rentang nilai antara, dengan rata-rata sebesar 78-87 dan standar deviasi sebesar 1.225. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa responden secara keseluruhan memiliki skor gain yang relatif tinggi dan variabilitas yang rendah, sehingga modul ajar dinyatakan efektif. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar dan LKPD yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model project-based learning berbasis etnomatematika dapat dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif dan dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar
