Abstract

Women's representation on the political stage still leaves serious problems, in fact, Law Number 8 of 2012 concerning General Elections of Members of the DPR, DPD and DPRD confirms that the representation of women is at least 30 percent. One of the classic reasons that became the scapegoat of the political backwardness of women is a matter of patriarchal culture, namely women are considered more suited to take care of the domestic (private) while the male public. Political parties' alignments towards gender equality are still half-hearted. Every ahead of the election almost all political parties try to adopt a gender perspective (gender perspective). However, this intention does not appear to be truly sincere because the perspective of gender perspective only wants to maintain the existence of the party so that it is in accordance with the requirements of the Act. In fact, the representation of women is crucial given the decisions in the executive and legislative branches covering all aspects of national and state life. This study aims to show that as an important pillar of democracy, it is time for political parties to take part in the success of the agenda for women's representation. The results of this study indicate that political parties must have a real commitment to realize women's representation by being proven in writing into the party platform. Parties can use wing organizations engaged in the field of women as a source of cadres for political parties.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The need to find work causes the demand for jobs to be greater than those available in the country, while other countries need workers. The difficulty of getting a job at home encourages some workers to try their luck abroad. There is no other choice, so they have to work including abroad. The government requires that the Indonesian Migrant Workers must be legal, sent through an official agency that helps them to apply for passports and visas, obtain a health certificate, pay for insurance and other obligations, have language skills and abilities. The low level of education of prospective TKI causes them to face the risk of being easily deceived by other parties. They do not understand the rules and requirements for working abroad. The low number of reports of Indonesian migrant workers experiencing certain cases to the authorities is also based on their concern because they have false identities. This research is a normative legal research, which discusses the legal protection for Indonesian migrant workers before, during, and after working abroad and the protection provided by Law Number 18 of 2017 which replaces Law Number 39 of 2004 concerning Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Abroad. Legal protection for Indonesian migrant workers can be carried out optimally, as long as the parties involved are truly carrying out the agreed laws and regulations. Abstract

Readers can verify the information or read more about the topic. The bibliography also allows the author to retrace the steps that have been taken and find information that the author has used for the assignment and find further views or ideas discussed by the author. In fact, students have not been able to use the Mendeley application in writing citations and making a bibliography, whereas nowadays students are required to write articles that will be published in national journals before graduation. Therefore, Mendeley training is needed for fluency in article preparation, because all national journals demand to use of the Mendeley application in citation writing and making a bibliography. The purpose of this training is for students to be able to write good and correct citations and bibliography. Implementation Method The approach method used is direct training on proposals that have been prepared by students who are programming the final project. This training was carried out at the University of Flores for 8th-semester students of the mathematics education study program who programmed their final project. The total number of students who participated in the training was 20 people, requiring participants to bring their own laptops and proposals. The method is used in the form of lectures, practice question sessions, and answers. Participants are enthusiastic and motivated to take part in the training because the knowledge gained from this training will greatly assist participants in writing final assignments and articles. More than 80% of students are able to install applications and plug-in Ms. Word independently. However, some students still have difficulty registering the application using email. Students are expected to carry out continuous exercises so that they can apply Mendeley in the life of the scientific community.
