Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk hayati mikoriza, Rhizobium, dan kombinasi keduanya pada pertumbuhan jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, dan jumlah bintil akar tanaman kedelai di tanah litosol. Penelitian dilaksanakan Oktober 2023 - Januari 2024 di Laboratorium Fakuktas Pertanian dan lahan percobaan Universitas KH. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah (UNWAHA). Rancangan Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan percobaan acak lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan terdiri ;1) Mk = penambahan pupuk hayati mikoriza 8gr, 2) Rh = penambahan pupuk padat Rhizobium 8gr, dan 3) MR = kombinasi penambahan pupuk hayati mikoriza 4gr dan Rhizobium 4gr. Analisa data menggunakan uji F dalam table anova. Uji BNJ 5% digunakan apabila terdapat perlakuan berpengaruh beda nyata. Pupuk hayati mikoriza dari hasil perbanyakan Mikoriza jenis Glomus sp. dengan jumlah spora berkisar 50 spora/8gr dari media pembawanya oleh Fakultas Pertanian UNWAHA. Rhizobium dari merk dagang “Flora One” yang mengandung Azospirillium sp 1,00 x 108 CFU dan Rhizobium sp 2,35 x 107CFU/gram dari media pembawanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pemberian pupuk hayati Mikoriza sp maupun Rhizobium sp pada tanaman kedelai di media tanah litosol berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan tinggi tanaman, panjang dan jumlah bintil akar dibandingkan tanpa pemberian pupuk. Pemberian kombinasi mempunyai tinggi tanaman, panjang, dan bintil akar yang lebih banyak, masing – masing 103 cm, 28,6 cm, dan 333 buah. Sedangkan pada jumlah daun tidak terdapat peningkatan signifikan. Perlakuan kombinasi pupuk hayati Mikoriza sp dan Rhizobium sp berpengaruh tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan pemberian pupuk hayati secara tunggal.

Abstract

Plants are grown as a beneficial organism which can be used for food, medicine, and aesthetically beautify environment around houses and big open areas. Benefits from growing plants, especially those that has positive impact on health such as medicinal herbs grown by a family and for that family, or here in Indonesia we gave them TOGA as acronym, is still not well known. Currently where the pollution is plenty; the earth climate temperature is high; and low-cost high efficiency traditional medicine is rare; the home-grown medicinal herbs or plants are greatly needed. Based on the reasoning above, we did an act to help people where we re-introduce plants that have health benefits on Mancilan village. The result of this program can be seen from the enthusiasm and spirit of innovation of PKK's members in optimizing the land around their house and making products from the results of their plant cultivation

Abstract

In the context of urban agriculture, the utilization of livestock waste is key to improving the quality of agricultural land. Liquid organic fertilizer is one of the products derived from dairy farm waste and other organic materials. This article discusses a community service program run in Murukan Village, which is the center of dairy farming and has great potential in farm waste management. Although cow's milk is the identity of this village, farm waste that has the potential to be used to improve agriculture is still underutilized. In order to optimize the use of livestock waste, the community service team designed and conducted training with the theme "Optimizing the Utilization of Dairy Farm Waste as an Effort to Improve the Quality of POC-Based Agricultural Land." The objectives of this community service program are: (1) Provide an understanding to the service subjects about the utilization of dairy milk waste as the main media for POC as a support for the quality of agricultural land (2) increase the skills of making POC from dairy milk waste. (3) provide motivation to farmers not to depend on synthetic chemical fertilizers. The Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD) approach is used in this program, which focuses on identifying existing assets in the community to support empowerment efforts. The results of this activity show an increase in the understanding and skills of the local community in pete waste management.

Abstract

Young mothers in Pacar Peluk Village are almost average housewives who do not have a profession outside the home. Based on this, the PKM Team in coordination with the village government and the head of the pacarpeluk village PKK is interested in providing assistance and introduction to mothers in pacarpeluk village to be creative and change healthy lifestyles for families. This activity has the following objectives: Provide training and introduction to microgreen for PKK mothers in Pacarpeluk Village. The PKM approach with Participatory Action Research (PAR) is an approach whose process aims at learning to solve problems and fulfil the practical needs of the community, as well as science, and the process of changing understanding of microgreen learning and training. With the implementation of microgreen introduction and training activities, PKK mothers will understand that microgreen in addition to being rich in nutrients obtained from plants, PKK mothers also know more about the stages of planting using the microgreen system which requires a relatively short time so that it is suitable for the health needs of Pacarpeluk village families.

Abstract

Cabai (Capsicum L.) merupakan komoditas tanaman yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat di Indonesia, namun produktivitas cabai di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah karena terkendala juga oleh serangan penyakit yang mengakibatkan kehilangan hasil. Penyakit layu yang disebabkan oleh fungi patogen Fusarium sp. dan penyakit antraknosa yang disebabkan oleh fungi patogen Colletotrichum sp. merupakan penyakit penting pada tanaman cabai. Tanaman yang terserang penyakit tersebut cenderung mengalami penurunan produktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengendalian dan mekanisme antagonisme menggunakan Penicillium spp. terhadap fungi patogen Fusarium sp. dan Colletotrichum sp. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya mulai bulan Desember 2023 sampai dengan bulan Juni 2024. Penelitian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan meliputi sterilisasi alat dan bahan, pembuatan media PDA, isolasi fungi patogen, pemurnian fungi (antagonis dan patogen), identifikasi makroskopis dan mikroskopis, uji antagonis in vitro, pengamatan makroskopis dan mikroskopis, serta perhitungan persentase daya hambat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penicillium spp. mempunyai efektivitas kurang dari 40% (minimum) dalam menekan pertumbuhan fungi patogen Fusarium sp. dan Colletotrichum sp. Mekanisme penghambatan yang terjadi antara Penicillium spp. terhadap Fusarium sp. adalah kompetisi dan antibiosis, sedangkan mekanisme antara Penicillium spp. terhadap Colletotrichum sp. adalah kompetisi.

Abstract

The accuracy of the golden apple snail pest distribution model estimation is very much needed by farmers in dealing with pest attacks, especially in the rainy season. This research aimed to obtain the best distribution model of golden apple snail pests with kernel estimators and spline smoothing through the Goldenshluger-Lepski adaptive bandwidth selection method with an estimation error rate below 10%. The parameters measured were population density 7-42 days after planting, Morisita index, and environmental correlation. The results showed that the population density of golden apple snail pests from four research locations differed significantly in both the juvenile phase (PrF = 0.00161), pre-adult (PrF = 0.000872), and adult (PrF = 0.019122). The highest density was found in Bandar Kedungmulyo District (9.23 individuals.m-2), while the lowest was found in Megaluh District (6.37 individuals.m-2). The population pattern is evenly distributed with a Morisita index of less than one and the highest index (Id = 0.469) was recorded in Megaluh District. The best population distribution model was obtained using the optimum h(7) kernel smoothing estimator, with the lowest Mean Square Error (0.001), and Mean Absolute Square Error (0.032) values in Megaluh District. Furthermore, the best distribution model was obtained using the natural cubic spline smoother with the lowest Mean Square Error (0.055), and Mean Absolute Square Error (0.020) values in Tembeleng District. In conclusion, the best golden apple snail pest distribution model was obtained using the adaptive kernel smoothing estimator of the Goldenshluger-Lepsky model approach, which produced the lowest estimation error rate compared to the spline smoother. This research contributes to developing the best distribution model for golden snail pests, which can strengthen the information technology database for monitoring, controlling, and utilizing the potential of golden snail pests.

Abstract

This community service article explores the development of organic insecticides derived from tobacco leaf extract as an environmentally friendly solution for farmers in Ngusikan Village. The primary objective is to reduce the dependency on chemical pesticides, which pose significant health risks and environmental pollution. Through training sessions and direct practice, farmers learned the process of producing natural pesticides, gaining awareness of the benefits of sustainable agriculture. The results indicate increased farmer knowledge and willingness to utilize organic pesticides, with notable reductions in chemical pesticide usage. This program also highlights the economic potential of processed tobacco products, enhancing local income opportunities. As an outcome, Ngusikan Village serves as a model for sustainable agriculture by leveraging local resources for eco-friendly pest control.

Abstract

Beauveria sp. is one of the fungi obtained from the exploration of the Rhizosphere in the Gondang Manis Guava plantation, which is located in the northern region of the Brantas River. This study aims to determine the morphology and growth of Beauveria sp. obtained from the exploration of endophytic fungi in the Rhizosphere of the Gondang Manis Guava plant. This research was conducted at the Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, KH University. A. Wahab Hasbullah, in vitro in April-July 2024, with qualitative and quantitative approaches, each with 5 replications. The results of the observation showed that the Beauveria sp. isolate had a yellowish white upper part, a bone white lower part, a zigzag colony shape spread out and a white powder hypha texture. The conidia of the fungus were hyaline in a round shape. The diameter after H-7 and H-14 was around 8 and 14 cm, respectively. Keywords: Beauveria sp; Gondang Manis Guava; Morfology

Abstract

Jarak Village, located in the Plosoklaten Subdistrict, exhibits considerable promise in the agricultural sector. It has potential to contribute the local economy through the production of food crops, horticulture, and livestock. Of these potential benefits, the food crop sector stands out, particularly in regard to rice production. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age, education level, length of farming business with integrated pest control in rice plants.This research was conducted from October 2024 - January 2025. The analysis of the data was executed through the implementation of the rank Spearman method. The relationship between the age of respondents and pest control techniques on rice plants showed insignificant results in Jarak Village, Plosoklaten District, Kediri. A non-significant relationship was identified between education and pest control techniques in rice plants in Jarak Village, Plosoklaten District, Kediri. A substantial correlation has been identified between the duration of agricultural practices involving pest management techniques in rice plants in Jarak Village, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh usia, pendidikan, dan lamanya pengalaman bertani terhadap teknik pengendalian hama pada budidaya kedelai di Dusun Doko, Desa Kepuhdoko, Kecamatan Tembelang, Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh usia petani, tingkat pendidikan, dan pengalaman bertani terhadap metode pengendalian hama. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan menganalisis hubungan antar variabel menggunakan alat uji statistik dan teori objektif. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pola dan hubungan dalam fenomena tersebut serta menjawab pertanyaan penelitian secara objektif. Penelitian ini melibatkan survei dan analisis data sekunder, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara usia petani dengan teknik pengendalian hama, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,281. Demikian pula, hubungan antara pendidikan dan pengendalian hama juga tidak signifikan, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,019. Namun, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lamanya pengalaman bertani dengan teknik pengendalian hama, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,060, yang menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat dan positif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa usia dan pendidikan tidak secara signifikan memengaruhi teknik pengendalian hama pada budidaya kedelai, sedangkan lamanya pengalaman bertani memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya peningkatan pelatihan, kegiatan penyuluhan, dan pembinaan kelompok tani di Dusun Doko, Desa Kepuhdoko, Kecamatan Tembelang, Kabupaten Jombang.
