Abstract

ABSTRAK      Lingkungan mencakup semua hal yang ada di sekitar kita. Ekosistem adalah kesatuan wilayah yang terdiri dari berbagai unsur serta makhluk hidup yang berada di dalamnya, termasuk tindakan manusia yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan kesejahteraan manusia serta makhluk hidup lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami penerapan jurnalisme lingkungan dalam peliputan isu-isu lingkungan oleh Palembang Ekspres, serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dan tantangan yang dihadapi jurnalis Palembang Ekspres dalam membingkai berita mengenai isu lingkungan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis kerangka kerja menurut Robert N. Entman, yang terdiri dari empat elemen: mendefinisikan masalah, mendiagnosis penyebab, memberikan penilaian moral, dan merekomendasikan tindakan. Proses penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati berita online di Palpres.com dan melakukan wawancara dengan jurnalis Palembang Ekspres. Berdasarkan data yang ditemukan, Palembang Ekspres menerapkan prinsip atau gagasan jurnalisme lingkungan dengan memperhatikan detail dalam penulisan, berpihak kepada kelompok rentan atau masyarakat yang mengalami bencana, serta menjelaskan kepada publik mengenai penyebab dan dampak dari isu lingkungan yang terjadi saat ini.   Kata kunci: Jurnalisme Lingkungan, Palembang Ekspres, Framing   ABSTRACT   The environment encompasses everything around us. An ecosystem is a unit of territory consisting of various elements and living things in it, including human actions that can affect the survival and well-being of humans and other living things. This study aims to understand the application of environmental journalism in the coverage of environmental issues by Palembang Ekspres, as well as to identify the obstacles and challenges faced by Palembang Ekspres journalists in framing news about environmental issues to increase public health awareness. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a framework analysis according to Robert N. Entman, which consists of four elements: defining the problem, diagnosing the cause, providing moral judgment, and recommending actions. The research process was carried out by observing online news on Palpres.com and conducting interviews with Palembang Ekspres journalists. Based on the data found, Palembang Ekspres applies the principles or ideas of environmental journalism by paying attention to details in writing, siding with vulnerable groups or communities experiencing disasters, and explaining to the public about the causes and impacts of current environmental issues.

Abstract

ABSTRAK               Pelayanan komunikasi yang dilakukan setiap perusahaan perlu dilakukan oleh instansi ahli di bidangnya. Humas adalah wajah bagi perusahaan yang memfasilitasi berbagai mediasi perusahaan kepada stakeholder atau internal perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ilmu kehumasan yang menurut peneliti masih minim yang membahas secara spesifik tentang humas perusahaan. Maka dari itu, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif yang mana teori ini dapat mendeskripsikan data secara narasi yang mudah dipahami. Peneliti menggunakan Teori Excellence oleh Grunig & Hunt yang mana teori ini menjadi standar bagaimana humas melakukan berbagai pola komunikasi yang efektif bagi internal dan eksternal perusahaan. Hasil penelitian ini membahas perihal Humas PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tanjung Enim yang telah melakukan serangkaian program komunikasi dan mediasi seperti exposure media, media relations, pelayanan berkala kepada stakeholder, event management, management crisis, dan agenda setting. Sehingga didapat kesimpulan bahwa Humas sangat krusial dalam pengelolaan pelayanan khususnya komunikasi perusahaan agar terpeliharanya relasi yang baik dan saling menguntungkan. ABSTRACT Communication services carried out by each company need to be carried out by expert agencies in their field. Public relations is the face of a company that facilitates various company mediations with stakeholders or internal companies. This research aims to develop public relations science, which according to researchers is still minimal which specifically discusses corporate public relations. Therefore, researchers use qualitative methods where this theory can describe data in a narrative that is easy to understand. Researchers use the Excellence Theory by Grunig & Hunt, which is the standard for how public relations carries out various effective communication patterns for internal and external companies. The results of this research discuss the Public Relations of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tanjung Enim which has carried out a series of communication and mediation programs such as media exposure, media relations, regular services to stakeholders, event management, crisis management, and agenda setting. So it can be concluded that Public Relations is very crucial in managing services, especially corporate communications, so that good and mutually beneficial relationships are maintained.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kehumasan Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Selatan dalam mengelola informasi publik, dengan fokus pada penerapan model komunikasi simetris dan asimetris. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan staf Humas dan wartawan media lokal untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai praktik komunikasi yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Humas Provinsi Sumatera Selatan secara aktif membangun komunikasi timbal balik dengan media. Mereka tidak hanya menyampaikan informasi, tetapi juga mendengarkan masukan dari wartawan, yang menciptakan hubungan yang lebih harmonis dan saling menguntungkan. Selain itu, Humas memanfaatkan berbagai platform digital untuk menyajikan konten yang informatif dan menarik, sehingga dapat menjangkau audiens yang lebih luas. Penggunaan media sosial dan situs web resmi pemerintah menjadi sarana penting dalam menyebarkan informasi dan meningkatkan transparansi. Strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterbukaan informasi pemerintah, yang pada gilirannya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kepercayaan publik terhadap pemerintah. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan komunikasi dua arah, di mana pemerintah tidak hanya berperan sebagai penyampai informasi, tetapi juga sebagai pendengar yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan dan aspirasi masyarakat. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pemerintah daerah untuk terus mengembangkan strategi komunikasi yang inklusif dan partisipatif, guna membangun hubungan yang lebih baik dengan masyarakat dan media. ABSTRACT  This study aims to analyze the South Sumatra Provincial Government's public relations strategy in managing public information, focusing on the application of symmetrical and asymmetrical communication models. Using a qualitative approach, the research involved in-depth interviews with PR staff and local media journalists to gain a comprehensive understanding of the communication practices undertaken. The results show that South Sumatra Province's PR actively builds reciprocal communication with the media. They not only deliver information, but also listen to feedback from journalists, which creates a more harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship. In addition, PRs utilize various digital platforms to present informative and engaging content, thus reaching a wider audience. The use of social media and official government websites are important tools in disseminating information and increasing transparency. This strategy has proven effective in improving government information disclosure, which in turn contributes to increased public trust in the government. The findings emphasize the importance of strengthening two-way communication, where the government acts not only as a conveyor of information, but also as a responsive listener to people's needs and aspirations. As such, this study provides recommendations for local governments to continue developing inclusive and participatory communication strategies, in order to build better relationships with the public and the media.

Abstract

Jurnal ini mengangkat tentang pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana diseminasi informasi kesehatan oleh Laboratorium Kesehatan Daerah Kota Prabumulih, yang bertujuan untuk memahami cara pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana diseminasi informasi kesehatan. Manfaat jurnal ini adalah memberikan manfaat bagi setiap pembaca untuk mengetahui cara pemanfaatan media sosial yang ada sehingga media sosial tersebut dapat terkelola dengan baik. Jurnal ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Studi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan yang dimana sumber datanya diperoleh dari buku-buku, dokumen-dokumen, foto, dan sebagainya. Cara pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kegiatan pemanfaatan dan posting yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Kesehatan Daerah Kota Prabumulih dirasa masih kurang dikarenakan sedikitnya kegiatan pendokumentasian dan posting yang dilakukan, padahal manfaat media sosial bagi instansi yang melakukan jasa pelayanan laboratorium sangat diperlukan dalam menyampaikan informasi dan promosi.

Abstract

Sejak pergantian abad, kemajuan teknologi seluler telah mendorong interaksi daring, termasuk dalam pemerintahan. Di Indonesia, media sosial menjadi inovasi penting dalam tata kelola pemerintahan karena memungkinkan partisipasi publik secara langsung. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan Instagram oleh Diskominfo Kota Palembang dalam meningkatkan pelayanan publik, dengan metode kualitatif melalui studi literatur. Data diambil dari unggahan Instagram dan situs resmi, dianalisis menggunakan teori efektivitas organisasi Gibson, Ivancevich, dan Donnelly. Hasilnya, meskipun konten telah diproduksi secara rutin dan informasi publik tersampaikan dengan lebih transparan, interaksi dan keterlibatan masyarakat masih perlu ditingkatkan. Diperlukan strategi yang lebih baik untuk mengoptimalkan peran media sosial dalam mendukung pelayanan publik dan tata kelola pemerintahan. Since the turn of the century, advances in mobile technology have driven bold interactions, including in government. In Indonesia, social media has become an important innovation in government governance because it allows direct public participation. This research is the effectiveness of the use of Instagram by the Palembang City Diskominfo in improving public services, using qualitative methods through literature studies. Data was taken from Instagram posts and official websites, analyzed using Gibson, Ivancevich, and Donnelly's organizational effectiveness theory. As a result, even though content has been produced regularly and public information is conveyed more transparently, public engagement and interaction still needs to be improved. A better strategy is needed to optimize the role of social media in supporting public services and government governance.

Abstract

This he development of the digital era which demands transparency and speed of information from the government makes managing a positive image a strategic aspect that cannot be ignored. This research aims to analyze the Public Relations strategy of the Palembang City Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) in this effort through the use of Instagram social media, by making the official account management activity @kominfopalembang the main object. Based on the PENCILS Public Relations (PR) Mix Theory, this research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with key informants, observation of Instagram content, and documentation. The research results show that Diskominfo Public Relations implements most elements of the PENCILS strategy including Publication, Events, News, Community Involvement, Information of Image, Lobbying and Negotiation, and Social Responsibility synergically. The Publication and Information of Image strategy is the main focus in building a modern and transparent government image, supported by News (hoax verification) and Community Involvement to strengthen public trust. The structured and consistent implementation of the PENCILS strategy via Instagram has proven effective in strengthening the positive image of the Palembang City Government, so that it becomes a digital communication model that is able to build trust and closeness with the community.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires government agencies to be more open in conveying information to the public. The Palembang City Communication and Information Agency, as the institution responsible for managing public communication, plays an important role in ensuring that information disclosure is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 14 of 2008. This study aims to describe the public relations strategies of the Palembang City Communication and Information Agency in managing public information disclosure and to identify the factors that support and hinder this process. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation. The results show that public relations strategies are implemented through the stages of fact-finding, planning and organizing, action and communication, and evaluation. Public relations combines digital and non-digital channels to expand the reach of information, but still faces obstacles in the form of literacy gaps, limited resources, and unequal access to information. Overall, the strategies implemented have supported efforts to increase public transparency, although strengthening is still needed in terms of equal access and information education so that information disclosure can truly be felt by all levels of society.

Abstract

The development of information technology and the increasing use of social media have changed the way the government conveys information to the public, one of which is through Instagram, which has now become a means of publication and transparency for government agencies. In this context, the Public Relations Office of the Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo) of Palembang City plays an important role in ensuring that information about government programs, activities, and policies can be published quickly, accurately, and easily understood. This study aims to analyze the role of the Public Relations Office of Diskominfo in publishing government activities through Instagram using a descriptive qualitative method through semi-structured interviews and field observations. The results of the study show that the Public Relations Office functions as a communication facilitator, expert advisor, communication technician, and liaison between the government and the public through the preparation of verified photo, video, infographic, and informative caption content before publication. The Public Relations Office also actively responds to questions and criticism from the public as part of two-way communication. However, there are obstacles such as limited human resources, the high volume of activities that must be published, and the demand for quick responses. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen team capacity and optimize social media management so that the publication of government activities through Instagram is more effective and consistent.
