Abstract

The researcher uses Jung’s archetypes theory to analyze the personality of Mary Lennox and Colin Craven as the main characters in The Secret Garden (2020) movie by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Carl Jung uses archetypes to analyze the human side of personality, which is known as a term in psychology. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative method. The results show that the characters Mary Lennox and Colin Craven have three kinds of archetypes. These results include the shadow, persona, anima, or animus. Mary's shadow is seen when she is angry because she is ignored by Martha, misunderstood by Colin, and a liar. Meanwhile, Colin's shadow is seen when he had past trauma about the stench of roses that almost killed him, and he hated his mother because she died. Second, Mary's persona is seen as a good girl who follows the rules of the house. Meanwhile, Colin's persona was seen. He was manipulating information that he had a friend. Third, Colin reveals four characteristics of anima: touchy, moody, jealous, and unadjusted. The last, there are two characteristics of the animus revealed in Mary, such as strong and brave. Abstract

Permasalahan dari penelitia ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di SDN Kuin Utara 6 Banjarmasin. Yang disebabkan siswa kurang memahami pembelajaran yang membuat siswa sulit mengingat materi yang disampaikan, kebanyakan siswa tidak memiliki hasrat atau kurangnya semangat siswa saat pelaksanaan pembelajaran berlangsung. Tidakan yang dilakukan ialah dengan menggunakan kombinasi model Problem Based Learning (PBL), Group Investigation (GI) dan Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Pada penelitian ini menggunkan teknik penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam empat pertemuan. Subjek penelitian di lakukan di SDN Kuin Utara 6 Banjarmasin pada siswa kelas V dengan jumlah 19 siswa tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian dilakukan pada muatan IPS Tema Lingkungan Sahabat Kita. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data kualitatif berupa observasi aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa yang di peroleh dari ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan skala persentase dan indikator ketuntasan belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan model cooperative learning tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan penilaian non - tes portofolio untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep materi nilai – nilai Pancasila di sekolah dasar. Menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif di SDN Martajasah Bangkalan, penelitian ini melibatkan 25 siswa kelas 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman siswa dalam materi nilai – nilai Pancasila, dengan persentase dari 50% sangat kurang menjadi 60% sangat baik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) yang dilengkapi dengan penilaian non-tes berbasis portofolio dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas 3 SDN Martajasah Bangkalan terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila, terutama dalam aspek kerja sama, tanggung jawab, dan toleransi.

Abstract

This study investigates the portrayal of Carl Jung's Great Mother Archetype in the Disney-Pixar film Turning Red (2022), focusing on the character Ming Lee. As a literary medium, film was often used to communicate moral values explicitly. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative method and identified six scenes that depicted the Great Mother archetype, such as Ming scolding a convenience store guard, Mei’s first transformation into a red panda, secretly monitoring Mei, controlling the red panda, the battle with the giant red panda, and the reconciliation with her mother in the spirit world. The study concluded that Ming Lee's over-controlling nature consistently represented the Great Mother archetype, where excessive control negatively impacted the growth of other characters.

Abstract

The significant reform in mining law in force in Indonesia is Law No. 3 of 2020 on Mineral and Coal (Minerba), which amends Law No. 4 of 2009, marks a new chapter in the transfer of authority from local and national governments to the Central Government. This study aims to analyze how local government jurisdiction over coal and minerals was transferred to the Central Government and how this affected the implementation of decentralization. Normative judicial research approaches are employed. This study's findings show that the Minerba Law amendment only gives authority to the Central Government, and coal and mineral mining agreements have become centralized. The local Governments only have delegated authority, which does not mean that local Governments have no control over managing coal and mineral mining at all; there is still authority to operate coal and mineral mining in the regions by following directions from the central government. The current mining legislation needs to support solid collaborations between central and local governments to promote sustainability in the future. Because local governments are better informed about mining situations in their regions, the central government must grant authority to control coal and mineral mining. Strict oversight is necessary to prevent local governments from abusing their authority.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak siswa pada materi unsur intrinsik cerita, dengan dukungan media audiovisual, di kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menurut model Kemmis dan McTaggart, serta melibatkan 23 siswa kelas 5. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi: 1) lembar observasi dan 2) lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan menyimak siswa, dari sebelumnya hanya 17,39% yang tergolong sangat kurang, meningkat menjadi 73,91% dalam kategori sangat baik. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang didukung media audiovisual efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa pada materi unsur intrinsik cerita di SDN Martajasah Bangkalan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interpersonal communication of Islamic cultural history teachers on the learning motivation of class IX.4 students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Indragiri Hilir. The research method with a quantitative approach uses data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses a simple regression analysis formula. The population in this study were all students of class IX.4, totaling 36 students. The results showed that the effect of interpersonal communication on teachers of Islamic cultural history reached 64.32% and the influence of student learning motivation reached 60.73%. There was also the effect of interpersonal communication on teachers of Islamic cultural history on student learning motivation in class IX.4 which is indicated by F. count ≥ F table, then Ho is rejected, meaning it is significant, namely F count 10.43 ≥ F table 4.13, then Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The mass media, especially social media, plays an important role in the political education of students in today's digital age. The rapid and widespread accessibility of political information allows students to develop political awareness and form perceptions of national leadership. This study aims to analyze the role of the media in political education for students, focusing on how their perceptions of the quality of national leadership are shaped through media consumption. Using a literature review approach with a descriptive qualitative method, the research data was obtained through an analysis of academic literature from ten relevant sources discussing media, political education, and national leadership. The results of the study indicate that the intensity of social media use is positively correlated with the level of students' political understanding. Additionally, digital literacy plays a crucial role in determining the accuracy of students' political perceptions, while diversifying information sources enriches their political perspectives. However, misinformation and information bias remain serious challenges that must be addressed through strengthening media literacy. This study emphasizes the need for synergy between the mass media, educational institutions, and political parties in shaping holistic political education based on democratic values. In conclusion, the mass media has great potential in building a politically aware, critical, and moral younger generation, provided it is supported by adequate digital literacy and access to credible information.

Abstract

Overcrowded yang terjadi di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan memerlukan penanganan yang baik dengan melibatkan sejumlah aparat penegak hukum serta beberapa pihak terkait. Overcrowded diakibatkan oleh tingginya jumlah tindak pidana penyalahguna narkotika yang masuk ke dalam Lapas. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kurang tepatnya penjatuhan sanksi yang diberikan oleh aparat penegak hukum kepada penyalahguna narkotika. Maka dari itu, diperlukan alternatif pemidanaan berupa penerapan rehabilitasi sebagai upaya menangani overcrowded Lapas. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengkaji apakah penerapan rehabilitasi efektif dilakukan sebagai upaya mengatasi overcrowded Lapas yang akan di analisis menggunakan teori rehabilitasi. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saat ini alternatif pidana berupa rehabilitasi sudah diterapkan dengan menggunakan restorative justice, namun belum efektif karena terdapat hambatan dalam pelaksanaan asesmennya. Apabila proses terhadap asesmennya berjalan dengan baik maka penerapan rehabilitasi juga akan berjalan dengan efektif.

Abstract

The integration of speech and news reading exercises within the realm of public speaking in SMAN 5 Metro commences by administering a pre-test to assess the initial speaking proficiency of the participants. The findings suggest that the proficiency level is moderate, implying that there is potential for improvement. The following activities, which encompass impromptu presentations, news reading, and vocabulary assessments, are designed to improve articulation skills and the practical use of vocabulary. The presence of group dynamics facilitates the development of collaborative efforts and effective communication among individuals. The post-test assesses the effectiveness of the intervention by demonstrating notable improvements in speaking proficiency. This approach elucidates the efficacy of structured exercises in enhancing communication abilities and instilling self-assurance in public speaking
