Abstract

Communication is one of the obstacles that often occurs to foreign tourists visiting Indonesia, this is caused by language differences between local people and tourists. Therefore, to overcome this problem, a conversation application is developed that is designed to make it easier for foreign tourists to communicate with local people. With the aim of utilizing Google Translate API technology in developing conversation applications that can be used by foreign tourists visiting Indonesia. The research method uses SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Waterfall which is carried out by approaching systematically which has a flow of analysis, design, coding, and testing. The results of the study obtained results in the form of a conversation application for foreign tourists visiting Indonesia that is more user friendly than Google Translate, by facilitating direct conversation without having to search on the application, and providing several additional features such as recommendations for tourist attractions, so that foreign tourists visiting Indonesia can enjoy the tourist attractions in Indonesia more. The results of the application trial that have been carried out show that the application has good performance and function through black box testing, and in subjective testing carried out using a questionnaire via Google Form with 5 respondents, the total score obtained was 180 out of 225, from the results obtained a percentage of 80%.

Abstract

Lembaga bimbingan belajar Mytra Belajar menghadapi permasalahan dalam pengelolaan administrasi, seperti ketidakefisienan proses pencatatan manual, risiko kesalahan data, dan kesulitan dalam koordinasi antara admin, tutor, dan orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi manajemen berbasis Android guna meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi dan mengurangi kesalahan yang timbul dari sistem manual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah prototipe, dengan tahapan pengumpulan kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan framework Flutter untuk antarmuka pengguna (front-end) dan Laravel untuk back-end, dengan basis data MySQL untuk menyimpan dan mengelola data secara terstruktur. Aplikasi ini menyediakan fitur-fitur utama meliputi manajemen data siswa, tutor, program, dan jadwal, pencatatan absensi digital, konfirmasi pembayaran, serta pemantauan perkembangan belajar siswa. Dengan adanya fitur-fitur tersebut, aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah komunikasi antar-pihak terkait dan meningkatkan transparansi informasi. Pengujian fungsional dilakukan melalui Black Box Testing oleh tim teknis (2 admin dan 1 IT specialist) membuktikan seluruh fitur beroperasi secara valid. Aplikasi ini terbukti mampu mengurangi kesalahan administrasi dan mempercepat proses operasional.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a mobile-based English teaching test application used in the language Laboratory of Polman Babel. Before this study was conducted, the evaluation process of English learning still used paper-based tests, which required a long correction time and carried a risk of scoring errors. The developed application provided a solution by offering a digital testing system that displayed questions, received student answers, and automatically generated results. The research applied the Research and Development (R&D) method with a waterfall approach consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The application was developed using the Flutter framework for the user interface and Laravel for data management on MySQL. The testing results showed that the application functioned properly and improved the efficiency of the assessment process while reducing correction errors. Therefore, this application was expected to serve as an innovative alternative to support the digitalisation of English learning assessment in higher education institutions
