Abstract

The development of computer technology from time to time has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including the education system. This study aims to analyze the impact of the evolution of computer technology on the education system, especially in terms of learning methods, access to information, and efficiency of educational administration. The problems raised in this study are the extent to which computer developments affect the education system and how the integration of these technologies can improve the quality of learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach and field observations in several universities. Data were collected through interviews with lecturers and education staff, as well as documentation related to the use of computer technology in the education process. The results of the study show that the development of computer technology has a positive impact on the education system, including through bold learning, the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), and the digitalization of campus administration. However, the study also identified challenges in its implementation, including gaps in access and technological skills. Thus, adaptation to computer developments must be accompanied by training and infrastructure improvements so that the benefits can be felt evenly.

Abstract

Decision making involving multiple criteria is often a challenge in the selection process, especially when having to choose the best alternative from a number of candidates. This study aims to build a Decision Support System (DSS) that is able to assist the selection process of the best candidates objectively, structured, and efficiently. The method used is the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT), which has the ability to handle multi-criteria decision making with a utility approach, where each criterion is weighted based on its level of importance. This system is designed using the UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling language to present a clear visual representation of the proposed system. The criteria used in the study consist of 5 criteria, namely: Work experience, education, age, status, and web address. Each alternative is assessed based on these five criteria, then the normalization process and calculation of the total utility value are carried out to determine the final ranking. The respondents or samples in this study consisted of 5 students registered in August 2024, from the five samples used, the highest utility result with code A02 in the name of Ahmad Suhery obtained the highest utility value of 0.6893, so that it was determined as the best alternative in the selection process. This system is expected to be a tool to assist in decision making.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan kepada masyarakat, khususnya siswa Sekolah Dasar, mengenai dampak negatif dari penggunaan internet serta pentingnya mengakses internet secara sehat dan aman. Di era digital saat ini, internet telah menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Penggunaan internet memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi siswa, seperti kemudahan akses informasi, sumber belajar yang beragam, serta sarana komunikasi dan kolaborasi. Namun demikian, penggunaan internet yang tidak bijak berpotensi menimbulkan dampak negatif, seperti kecanduan, paparan konten berbahaya, dan penyalahgunaan media sosial. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman mengenai konsep internet sehat menjadi sangat penting agar siswa mampu memaksimalkan manfaat positif internet serta menghindari risiko yang ditimbulkannya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode sosialisasi kepada siswa SD N Pintu Padang mengenai cara bijak dalam menggunakan internet. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa terkait internet sehat, sehingga diharapkan mereka mampu memanfaatkan internet secara optimal dan aman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya dalam kegiatan belajar. Ada beberapa jenis sosial media yang sering digunakan perserta didik yaitu : WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Telegram, X (Twitter), Facebook Messenger, Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik di lingkungan SD N Pintu Padang mengenai internet sehat, sehingga dapat Menggunakan internet  secara sehat dan positif bagi peserta didik di  sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of cooperative learning models in improving student learning outcomes in certain subjects. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental design of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, where one group of students is given treatment in the form of a cooperative learning model without a control group. The research instrument is a learning outcome test carried out before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the implementation model. The data collected were analyzed using statistical tests to determine the difference in pre-test and post-test scores. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with an average pre-test score of 69 and increasing to 89.33 in the post-test after the implementation of the cooperative learning model. This increase indicates that the cooperative learning model not only improves students' understanding of the material, but also increases students' active involvement in the learning process, encourages social interaction, and develops cooperation skills between students. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes and is feasible to be applied in the learning process in schools. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Awakened Indonesia UKM program provides a solution to overcome this problem, namely a solution to technological capacity constraints by procuring production machines such as cutting machines, drill presses, compressor machines, workbenches, and wheelbarrows. Solution to marketing/distribution and managerial constraints by designing and manufacturing an Android-based Management Information System (SIMBA) that can help partners use database-based information and communication technology so that partners can provide knowledge and expertise to carry out marketing activities (product updates, online sales, online transactions, distribution arrangements), inventory activities (management of inventories based on online purchase orders), and assist in preparing the company's income statement. Besides that, it also offers marketing media using neon box boards. The solutions provided can help increase the productivity of FortunaHandycraft SMEs in terms of production, digital marketing and managerial.

Abstract

The vision of higher education always leads to the dharma of higher education. One manifestation of the Tridharma of Higher Education is scientific work or conducting research. This socialization aims to map the needs of journal managers and improve journal governance, especially governance related to OJS journals at Graha Nusantara University Padangsidimpuan. The expected output is that journal managers will receive an overview, information, suggestions, and input related to OJS management from managed journals, such as costs for publishing an article. This socialization provides benefits and understanding regarding the financial governance of the journal, so that it can indirectly improve the quality and ranking of the journals that are managed. This socialization aims to improve the image and competitiveness of institutions by increasing the value of both study program accreditation and university accreditation.

Abstract

Online media is a method of presenting and marketing products, for example, through advertising. The explanation in the webinar includes the benefits of online marketing and the activities required. Evaluate activities to ensure they are in accordance with planning. Online media now plays a key role in buying, selling, and product introduction. SME Fortuna Handycraft, with 10 years of experience, is faced with technological, marketing, and managerial obstacles. The UKM Indonesia Bangkit program provides a solution by procuring production machines and an Android-based Management Information System (SIMBA). This solution increases productivity and helps in marketing through online communications.

Abstract

The development of data mining cannot be separated from technological developments, especially in determining association rules to determine the relationship between elements/attributes in the process of students receiving information at any point in time. When it comes to permissions, there are many factors that influence permissions. However, not all of these factors are considered important so research is carried out to determine the relationship between these factors. The topic research method is data collection and data analysis. By using the Association Rule technique we can obtain information from large data such as data from universities. The aim of this research is to determine the pattern of study duration for Graha Nusantara University F-KIP students. using the Association Rule Data Mining method and comparing a priori algorithms and hash-based algorithms. The data used is Graha Nusantara University F-KIP master data which is processed using the Association Rule Data Mining technique with an a priori algorithm and a hash-based algorithm with a minimum support of 1% and a minimum confidence of 1%. The results of data processing with the a priori algorithm are the same as the results of data processing with the hash-based algorithm, namely 49 2-itemset combinations.

Abstract

The research method used is classroom action research using two cycles carried out in the first semester with Number Pattern Material. The sample in this research was 30 students in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan who would use the Talking Chip Learning Model in learning. The data collection techniques used were tests, questionnaires and observation sheets. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research show that the ability of students' learning outcomes in learning Mathematics through the Talking Chip learning model for class VIII-2 students at SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan in the Number Patterns material for the 2021/2022 academic year has increased with a completion percentage of 93.3% in the "Good" category. Furthermore, the teacher's ability to manage learning increased to 97.90% with the "Very Good" category. For this reason, the expected results have been fulfilled because they are in accordance with the minimum good category with a percentage of 80%.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology offers new opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning processes. However, the level of understanding and utilization of AI in vocational school environments remains varied. The socialization activity on the use of AI at SMK Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan was carried out as an effort to improve digital literacy, pedagogical competence, and the skills of both students and teachers in effectively utilizing AI technology. The activity methods included material presentation, demonstrations of educational AI applications, and hands-on practice using several AI platforms for material creation, data analysis, and learning support. The results showed an improvement in teachers' and students' understanding of basic AI concepts, their ability to use AI tools in teaching, and increased motivation to integrate AI into the learning process. This socialization activity is expected to serve as an initial step in developing an adaptive, innovative, and technology-based learning ecosystem that aligns with the needs of the digital era.
