Abstract

Technological advances not only lie in the speed factor to get information but also multimedia facilities that can make learning more interesting to encourage students to learn optimally both in independent learning and in classroom learning. This study aims to determine the level of learning quality of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta 5th semester medical students on the use of the LeADS application. The type of research used is quantitative research with experimental methods. Research data were obtained using instruments (questionnaires) based on population and sample using quantitative data analysis to test hypotheses. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by distributing questionnaires in the form of google forms containing checklists. The results of the analysis show that the use of the LeADS application to improve the quality of medical student learning is still not good when compared to the expectations of medical students in the future in improving the quality of learning. Recommendations for future research are that it is necessary to improve indicators that have not run well / effectively and find solutions to various obstacles in online learning, so that the quality of online learning increases

Abstract

With its disruptive development as the biggest social media worldwide, TikTok poses numerous threats to the society. With 99 million users in Indonesia, TikTok has potential to propagate hate speech on its platform. Having rich history of antisemitism in Indonesia, researcher seek to identify whether TikTok propagate antisemitism in Indonesia. In order to conduct the research, quantitative methods are utilized. This research focused on antisemitism on TikTok in Indonesia, which can be perceived as cyberbullying and online hate speech, and aimed to explain how TikTok used in Indonesia, forms of antisemitism on TikTok in Indonesia (if any), and how antisemitism proliferate through TikTok. Hence, the research would attempt to verify whether TikTok propagate antisemitism in Indonesia. In order to analyze and get a better view of the theme, researcher will discuss the rise of TikTok and the phenomena of Antisemitism in Indonesia in the next sections. With 400 samples, it is found that TikTok is having a great screen time (more than 60 minutes per day) and enjoyed by most of their users in Indonesia and it is indicated that TikTok able to convey political messages/social campaign efficiently in Indonesia. This research concludes that TikTok does propagate antisemitism in Indonesia, despite its sprawling are limited.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to investigate and analyze communication patterns within families and their influence on the development of children's behavior in the Halim Perdana Kusuma environment. To comprehend how communication dynamics between parents and children impact the shaping of children's behavior, a quantitative approach employing survey questionnaires is utilized. The research reveals that the communication patterns (X1) between parents and children contribute to a 17% impact on the formation of child behavior (Y1). The correlation analysis indicates a correlation coefficient of 0.130 between variables X1 and Y1. The outcome of the simple linear regression demonstrates a positive relationship (0.096) between variable X1 and variable Y1. Furthermore, hypothesis testing utilizing the t-formula on the family communication pattern variable (X1) reveals a t-count of 1.297, which is less than the critical t-table value of 1.984, and the significance level of 0.198 exceeds the standard threshold of 0.05. Factors hindering communication between parents and children in the Perdana Kusuma environment include differing perceptions of specific events or situations, a significant age gap leading to a lack of understanding of contemporary child behavior by parents, and children struggling to adapt to their parents' traditional mindset and unstable emotional conditions. The anticipated outcome of this research is to provide a deeper understanding of the significance of family communication in shaping children's behavior, particularly in a military family setting. The findings aspire to contribute to the enhancement of more effective communication patterns between parents and children, fostering the development of positive and healthy behaviors among children in the Halim Perdana Kusuma environment.

Abstract

Given the rapid development of gadgets in the digital era, they have become a double-edged sword, offering both positive and negative impacts. Children, as frequent users, often use gadgets mainly for playing games and searching for information on the internet, without understanding the risks, including exposure to harmful content like pornography. This community service program aims to educate parents at PAUD Srikandi on how to guide their children in using the internet wisely, helping them become more aware of negative content.Effective communication with children before giving them gadgets involves three key points: (1) Discuss the needs: Talk about why the child wants a gadget and access to the internet, and whether it’s necessary. (2) Discuss responsibilities: Ensure children understand that parents have the right to monitor how the gadget is used and check its content. Set clear consequences if the gadget or internet is misused. (3) Discuss the risks: Encourage children to talk to their parents about anything that makes them uncomfortable while using the gadget or internet.

Abstract

Kis Mint, traditionally known as a candy brand for children, aims to expand its market reach to teenagers and adults while maintaining a competitive position in the industry. With over 163 million users, Instagram serves as a strategic platform for branding and consumer engagement. This study examines Kis Mint’s branding strategy on Instagram (@kisduludong) through the lens of consumer culture. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through unstructured interviews, participant observation, and digital document analysis. The findings reveal that Kis Mint employs three key branding strategies: (1) aligning its marketing with the lifestyles of teenagers and adults who carry candy as a daily necessity, (2) catering to diverse taste preferences by offering fresh and sweet flavours for teenagers and sour variations for adults mindful of sugar intake, and (3) utilizing individual packaging to maintain a mature appeal for adult consumers. Additionally, Kis Mint maximizes Instagram’s features, particularly its feed, to highlight product benefits such as breath-freshening properties while fostering social interaction through interactive content like quizzes. These strategies collectively enhance Kis Mint’s brand positioning and engagement on social media.

Abstract

Film is a means of tourism promotion with soft-selling techniques that display physical space and form an emotional connection between characters and locations. This study aims to analyze the representation of tourist locations in the film Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan through Roland Barthes's semiotic approach, focusing on denotation, connotation, myth, and tourism soft-selling strategies depicted through cinematography. This research method uses a qualitative approach with Barthes's semiotic analysis technique, focusing on seven tourist destinations, including the city center of Grožnjan, the village of Završje, Tkalčićeva Street, Zagreb Cathedral, Zagreb City Museum, the Arctic Circle, and ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta. The results of this study show that the locations in the film are interpreted symbolically to strengthen the narrative of love, self-discovery, and contemplation of life. Each place is constructed through a myth that touches the audience's emotions and encourages imaginative involvement in the tourist destination. The soft-selling strategy used by the film can build tourism appeal through a narrative atmosphere and visual aesthetics that blend with the emotions of the film's main characters.

Abstract

The proliferation of social media has transformed platforms like Twitter into dynamic arenas for expressing public sentiment during geopolitical crises. This study examines global public opinion on the Gaza and Ukraine conflicts by employing a deep learning-based sentiment analysis model utilizing a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU) architecture. A total of 24,177 tweets were collected and pre-processed, followed by sentiment labeling using a hybrid lexical approach that combines VADER and TextBlob. Feature extraction was conducted using the TF-IDF method, and the Bi-GRU model was trained and evaluated using standard performance metrics. The model achieved an accuracy of 88.06% and an average F1-score of 85.07%, demonstrating superior performance in recognizing sentiment, especially for negative expressions. Word cloud analysis further revealed the dominance of emotionally charged terms such as "genocide" and "pray for Gaza," indicating the strong affective orientation of online discourse. The study confirms the efficacy of Bi-GRU in handling informal and contextually complex texts. It highlights the role of social media in articulating collective emotions and shaping public narratives during conflict. These findings offer methodological contributions to the field of natural language processing and practical implications for real-time crisis monitoring, policymaking, and humanitarian communication strategies.Proliferasi media sosial telah mengubah platform seperti Twitter menjadi arena dinamis untuk mengekspresikan sentimen publik selama krisis geopolitik. Studi ini meneliti opini publik global terhadap konflik Gaza dan Ukraina dengan menggunakan model analisis sentimen berbasis pembelajaran mendalam yang memanfaatkan arsitektur Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU). Sebanyak 24.177 tweet dikumpulkan dan diproses terlebih dahulu, kemudian diberi label sentimen menggunakan pendekatan leksikal hibrida yang menggabungkan VADER dan TextBlob. Ekstraksi fitur dilakukan menggunakan metode TF-IDF, dan model Bi-GRU dilatih serta dievaluasi menggunakan metrik kinerja standar. Model ini mencapai akurasi sebesar 88,06% dan rata-rata skor F1 sebesar 85,07%, menunjukkan performa unggul dalam mengenali sentimen, terutama untuk ekspresi negatif. Analisis word cloud lebih lanjut mengungkap dominasi istilah bermuatan emosional seperti “genocide” dan “pray for Gaza,” yang menunjukkan orientasi afektif yang kuat dalam wacana daring. Studi ini menegaskan efektivitas Bi-GRU dalam menangani teks informal dan kontekstual yang kompleks, serta menyoroti peran media sosial dalam mengartikulasikan emosi kolektif dan membentuk narasi publik selama konflik. Abstract

This study examines the attitude of Instagram followers @taulebih.id towards LGBTQ+ content on the Instagram provides information about sexual education based on an Islamic point of view. One of them is the Instagram account @taulebih.id which often provides information about LGBTQ+ to give a complete picture of the LGBTQ+ community from an Islamic viewpoint. This study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. The information integration theory states accumulate information has latent power and can influence individuals to have certain attitudes. Information Integration Theory focuses on how individuals collect and organize information about accumulate information to act positively or negatively towards attitude objects. Researchers used questionnaire on Instagram with 100 respondents. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test show that the influence of LGBTQ+ content @taulebih.id with the valance and weight dimensions significantly affects followers' attitudes. The results obtained by Ha are accepted, which means that there is a significant influence on the attitude of followers or followers who agree with the statements in the @taulebih.id account. This can be proven from the data results of t count 14.789 which is greater than t table, namely 1.292 so that it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Suryanation Motorland merupakan perusahaan yang fokus sebagai situs gaya hidup untuk para pecinta modifikasi motor di Indonesia. Aktivitas Touring menjadi salah satu agenda utama yang sudah dijalankan sejak tahun 2015 di PT. Suryanation Motorland. Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi di Indonesia pada tahun 2019-2022 berdampak pada kegiatan touring yang menjadi aktivitas utama para pencinta modifikasi motor di Indonesia termasuk program kerja PT. Suryanation Motorland. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dasar kegiatan konser musik daring “Rockestra: Kita adalah Surya” dan mengetahui implementasi program CSR tersebut dalam mempertahankan citra PT Suryanation Motorland di era pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dari wawancara dan teknik analisa data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa bentuk tanggung jawab social yang dilaksanakan oleh PT Suryanation Motorland melalui program kerja seni musik dalam bentuk konser dapat mempertahankan citra perusahaan di masa pandemic dan menginspirasi masyarakat untuk tetap dapat berkarya di masa pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangan dunia masa kini banyak bermunculan teknologi-teknologi yang dapat mempermudah hidup manusia, salah satunya adalah internet yang berada dalam ranah siber. Perkembangan teknologi dalam internet saat ini memungkinkan aktivitas-aktivitas politik dijalankan melalui ranah tersebut. Perkembangan dalam bentuk kemudahan-kemudahan untuk mengakses informasi-informasi yang berkaitan aktivitas-aktivitas politik saat ini banyak dilakukan melalui medium siber tersebut, sehingga disebut dengan politik siber. Politik siber sangat mengandalkan platform digital untuk mendiseminasikan pesan-pesan politik. Dengan demikian, di tengah kencangnya arus teknologi informasi saat ini, diharapkan era politik siber dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat. Partisipasi politik masyarakat sangat diperlukan dalam menentukan pemimpin-pemimpin politik karena peran mereka sangat tinggi di dalam era politik siber. Hasil penelitian penulis menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi politik masyarakat di era siber mengalami peningkatan, khususnya melalui sarana-sarana daring. Sarana-sarana tersebut, adalah peningkatan kampanye daring yang banyak dilakukan melalui media sosial. Untuk itu, tulisan ini akan menjelaskan keterkaitan antara aktivitas politik di era politik siber dengan partisipasi politik masyarakat.
