Abstract

Imperialism does not only take the form of military power by a strong country, but can also be through cultural domination. Through new media technologies like fan blogs, peer-to-peer sites, video sharing sites, microblogging, and mobile internet, the Korean wave spread K-pop (Korean popular music). The point of this exploration is to make sense of the impact of virtual entertainment on K-pop fan culture, beginning with explanations about the most recent improvements in the more youthful age's cooperation in web-based entertainment, collaborations with transcultural famous substance streams, and the positive and adverse consequences on K-pop fans. Qualitative studies using relevant keywords, such as cultural imperialism, K-pop, social media, and transcultural, were used in electronic article search methods. From the search results, it can be concluded that Kpop culture has succeeded in occupying the world because of the Korean entertainment agency's social media strategy. Arrangement of key plans of action with virtual entertainment, expanding different web-based entertainment channels, drawing in clients with on the web and disconnected advancements, and animating crowds with elite substance has made Kpop famous with different gatherings. Indonesian culture and Kpop can go hand in hand and even make teenagers more creative in developing themselves, but they must be accompanied by their parents.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of the coach’s interpersonal communication in shaping motivation and enhancing the performance of Lokapala Esports athletes in North Sumatra Province. A qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews and observations involving the coach and six athletes from diverse ethnic backgrounds, namely Batak, Tamil, Chinese, Malay, and Javanese. The findings indicate that the coach's intensive interpersonal communication—both technical and motivational—significantly impacts the team’s enthusiasm and coordination. Interactions grounded in empathy, emotional closeness, and openness help create a conducive training environment. This study also highlights how cultural diversity within the team does not pose a barrier but instead becomes a strength through the coach’s inclusive and relationship-oriented communication strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strong and significant relationship between the Muslim attributes of culinary MSME merchants and consumer purchase decisions in Mataram City. The background of this study stems from the importance of the principle of halal (permissible) as a main pillar of Muslim consumer behavior, especially in Mataram, which focuses on the development of halal tourism. At the MSME level, halal certification is often conveyed thru informal visual and personal signals. The Muslim attributes that are the focus of this research are: the use of the hijab by female vendors, the presence of banners/writings with Muslim phrases (e.g., 'Halal', 'Muslim', or 'Bismillah'), and the absence of tattoos on male vendors. This correlational quantitative study used a sample of Al-Azhar University (UNIZAR) students, with data collected thru structured questionnaires and analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis. The research results show a very strong and significant effect. The Significance Test (t-test) yielded a calculated t-value of 12.056 with a significance level of 0.000, which statistically proves that the Muslim attribute has a positive influence on purchasing decisions. The strength of this relationship is indicated by a Correlation Coefficient (R) of 0.917 and a Coefficient of Determination (R2) of 0.841 (or 84.1%), confirming that 84.1% of the variation in purchasing decisions is explained by Muslim Attributes. This finding supports the theory of Islamic Consumption Behavior, concluding that for religiously sensitive consumers in Mataram, Muslim attributes are a primary determinant of purchasing decisions. Therefore, culinary MSMEs are advised to prioritize Islamic ethics and visual communication to build trust and increase competitiveness.
