Abstract

Tumbuhan cemba merupakan salah satu tanaman endemik di Kabupaten Enrekang Sulawesi Selatan. Tumbuhan ini memiliki kandungan kimia diantaranya minyak atsiri, flavonoid, saponin, terpenoid dan alkaloid. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi aktivitas daun cemba sebagai antifungi. Metode pada penelitian ini, digunakan bagian daun melalui tahap maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70%. Hasil ekstraksi dilakukan pengujian aktivitas dengan metode difusi agar pada Candida albicans. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya aktivitas hambatan ekstrak etanol daun cemba terhadap Candida albicans pada konsentrasi 3% (9,37 mm) , 5% (10,8 mm) dan 7% (13,25 mm).

Abstract

Luka bakar merupakan kerusakan jaringan kulit dikarenakan panas yang terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penanganan luka bakar yang tidak tepat menyebabkan infeksi sekunder. Daun senggani (Melastoma malabathricum L) merupakan tanaman yang secara empiris digunakan untuk obat luka bakar. Tanaman ini mengandung senyawa golongan flavonoid, saponin dan tannin. Tujuan penelitian ini membuat formula sediaan emulgel dari ekstrak etanol daun senggani serta melakukan uji kestabilan fisik sediaan emulgel. Sediaan emulgel dipilih karena memiliki daya lekat yang lebih lama sehingga absorpsi obat lebih optimal serta memberikan rasa dingin pada kulit. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh ekstrak dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Emulgel dibuat dengan menggunakan variasi gelling agent carbopol 940 dengan konsentrasi 1% dan 2% sedangkan HPMC dengan konsentrasi 0,25% dan 5%. Evaluasi fisik terhadap emulgel meliputi uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat dan uji viskositas serta uji stabilitas dipercepat. Abstract

Masa remaja, yang berlangsung dari sekitar usia 11 atau 12 tahun hingga sekitar 20 tahun, merupakan periode peralihan di antara masa kanak-kanak dan dewasa. Selama fase perkembangannya, remaja dihadapkan pada tugas-tugas tertentu yang harus mereka selesaikan. Mereka sering merasakan tekanan untuk memenuhi standar dan harapan sosial dari kelompok mereka. Jika mereka tidak berhasil menyelesaikan tugas-tugas tersebut, mereka cenderung melihat hidup sebagai penderitaan dan tidak menyenangkan, yang bisa mendorong mereka melakukan perilaku-perilaku seperti melukai diri sendiri, melarikan diri dari keluarga dan tanggung jawab, terlibat dalam pergaulan bebas, atau bahkan terjerumus ke dalam penggunaan alkohol dan obat-obatan terlarang, termasuk narkotika dan psikotropika. adapaun metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu penyuluahan atau sosialisasi. hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran remaja terkait bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba.

Abstract

Beras hitam (Oryza sativa L. Indica) merupakan salah satu komoditas unggul lokal di Toraja Utara. Pengukuran parameter Standardisasi dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk memelihara mutu, keamanan serta khasiat sehingga dapat lebihmeningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap manfaat bahan alam. Parameter spesifik adalah aspek kandungan kimiakualitatif dan kuantitatif kadar senyawa kimia yang bertanggung jawab langsung terhadap aktivitas farmakologi tertentu. Parameter non spesifik adalah penentuan aspek kimia, mikrobiologi, dan fisis yang akan mempengaruhi keamanankonsumen dan stabilitas. Ekstrak yang diperoleh dari hasil maserasi menggunakan etanol 70%-asam sitrat 3% selama 3 hari. Ekstrak yang dihasilkan memiliki persen rendamen sebesar 5,01%. Pengukuran parameter spesifik di peroleh ekstrak berwarna ungu kehitaman, kental, memiliki bau khas dan memilki rasa yang pahit. Ekstrak beras hitam mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin dan tanin, kadar senyawa larut dalam air 6,44% dan kadar senyawa larut dalam etanol 14,61%. Pengukuran parameter non spesifik diperoleh susut pengeringan 6,03%, kadar air sebesar 10%, bobot jenis 1,0090 g/mL, kadar abu total sebesar 9,8%, dan kadar abu tidak larut asam sebesar 1,80%, angka lempeng total tidak adanya cemaran, dan angka kapang khamir adanya cemaran 8,5x102 koloni/g.

Abstract

Purpose: Helping TPS 3R partners to solve the problem of managing waste into compost is efficient and effective. Methodology: carried out at TPS 3R Darul Aman, method of implementing innovation by increasing the quantity and quality of compost using EM4 (effective microorganism) to accelerate the decomposition of organic matter and the ability to provide nutrients for plants. Results: improvement in soil management into compost and compost quality. Community service has been carried out involving TPS3R Darul Aman partners by providing education on making compost. Limitations: No study covers all aspects. Authors are advised to explain research limitations, as well as further studies or future plans. Contribution: The agricultural sector in the use of compost and the lack of TPS3R employees makes the waste management process difficult.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of the Arga Math program is to introduce and implement the “Plakat” (Rank Number Board) as an innovative teaching aid to enhance students’ mathematical understanding, specifically in exponentiation. This visual tool aims to foster student engagement, simplify abstract concepts, and support teachers in creating more interactive and effective learning environments. Methodology/approach: The socialization activity was conducted at MTS Sinoa using a service-learning approach focused on knowledge transfer. The session began with a brief presentation on the concept and function of Plakat Teaching Aid. This was followed by hands-on practice, where participants applied the tool to solve exponent-related problems. Feedback and perceptions were collected through a structured questionnaire completed by teachers and students after the activity. Results/findings: The results of the activity showed that the Plakat teaching aid helped both teachers and students better understand exponentiation. Students demonstrated increased enthusiasm and confidence in solving exponential problems, while teachers acknowledged the usefulness of the tool in delivering abstract content. Furthermore, the activity motivated educators to design similar instructional media that aligned with curriculum objectives and encouraged creativity in teaching mathematics. Conclusions: The Arga Math Plakat proved to be an effective visual learning aid, making abstract mathematical concepts more accessible. It positively affects learning outcomes and inspires both students and educators. Limitations: The activity had limited reach due to time constraints and the participation of only 13 eighth-grade students, with minimal involvement from other educators. Contribution: This initiative supports educational innovation and contributes to achieving SDG Goal 4: Quality Education.

Abstract

Black rice (Oryza sativa L.) contains chemical compounds, namely ferulic acid, -oryzanol, amino acids, tannins, phenolics, and anthocyanins which have potential as antibacterial agents. This study aims to formulate an antibacterial gel preparation from black rice extract with an extract concentration of 10% and to test the antibacterial effectiveness of the gel preparation against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. Black rice extract was obtained by maceration using 70% ethanol solvent: 3% citric acid. The extract obtained was then formulated in a gel dosage form. The results showed that black rice extract could be formulated as an antibacterial gel preparation that met the organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, and adhesion requirements. In the results of the antibacterial effectiveness test, there is a clear zone which represents the ability to inhibit the growth of the tested bacteria by the gel. Black rice extract can be formulated in a gel dosage form with an extract concentration of 10% and a physically stable formula is obtained in formula III with a carbopol concentration of 2%. The average diameter of the antibacterial gel FIII preparation of black rice extract in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was classified as strong, namely 11.17 ± 0.34 mm, while inhibition of Escherichia coli bacteria was also relatively strong, namely 12.20 ± 0.46 mm

Abstract

Lactic acid (LAB) is a bacteria involved in food fermentation and can be used as a probiotic to provide health benefits for those who consume it. This research aims to bring innovation and added value, and improve the community's utilization of probiotics (LAB) from husks and black rice from Toraja. The method used is collecting and processing samples, isolation and purification of LAB, microscopic and macroscopic identification, testing the activity/potential of LAB (Kirby Bauer), and molecular identification of 16S rRNA (sequencing). This study has confirmed that fermented rice has Lactococcus taiwanensis type lactic acid bacteria, while fermented husk is not a type of lactic acid bacteria. Lactococcus taiwanensis bacteria have probiotic potential and can produce antibacterial substances.
