Abstract

Inti permasalahannya adalah masih banyak siswa yang kurang percaya diri saat melakukan gerakan forehand smash, gerakan lengan masih terlihat kaku. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memukul smash melalui media latihan beban botol pasir pada pergelangan tangan. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Penelitian terdiri dari dua siklus dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode dalam penelitian ini meliputi subjek penelitian, variabel penelitian, prosedur, siklus penelitian, data dan metode pengumpulan data, teknik analisis data, dan indikator keberhasilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan memukul smash bulutangkis siswa. Peningkatan ini ditunjukkan dari hasil penelitian dari siklus I ke siklus II, yaitu pada kondisi awal hanya 4 siswa (13,80%) yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan sedangkan sisanya belum. Pada akhir siklus I, 13 siswa (44,82%) mencapai kriteria ketuntasan. Pada akhir siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 26 siswa (89,65%) yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan. Kesimpulannya adalah penggunaan media latihan beban pada pergelangan tangan dengan bantuan botol bekas berisi media pasir dapat meningkatkan keterampilan forehand smash bulutangkis siswa.

Abstract

The lack of competence among Physical Education (PE) teachers in Central Lombok Regency in applying sports massage, as well as the limited use of manipulation techniques in sports learning, has become an obstacle to the development of students’ physical skills and well-being. This community service program aims to improve PE teachers’ understanding and skills in sports massage through comprehensive training. The methods used in this activity are lecture and demonstration/practice methods. The activity was attended by 25 junior high school PE teachers from East Kutai Regency. Evaluation results showed that 92.8% of participants had mastered the sports massage material, while 86.3% were able to apply the techniques effectively. It is expected that this training will enhance the competence of PE teachers in integrating sports massage into sports learning, thereby having a positive impact on physical recovery, athletic performance, and student well-being at the Nurul Iman Islamic Boarding School Foundation, Ujan Rintis, Central Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sport massage terhadap recovery fatigue dan peningkatan kebugaran atlet beladiri setelah menjalani sesi latihan intensif. Sport massage merupakan teknik pemulihan fisiologis yang memanfaatkan stimulus mekanis melalui gerakan effleurage, petrissage, friction, vibration, dan shaking untuk meningkatkan aliran darah, mengurangi ketegangan otot, serta mempercepat relaksasi. Desain penelitian menggunakan eksperimen dengan pembagian subjek ke dalam kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok perlakuan memperoleh sport massage selama 15–20 menit, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menjalani pemulihan pasif. Variabel yang diukur meliputi heart rate recovery (HRR), perceived fatigue, fleksibilitas, kekuatan otot, dan kebugaran pascapemulihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sport massage memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap percepatan pemulihan kelelahan. Kelompok perlakuan mengalami penurunan HRR yang lebih cepat dan penurunan skor perceived fatigue yang lebih besar dibanding kelompok kontrol. Selain itu, sport massage juga berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan fleksibilitas dan stabilitas kekuatan otot, yang kemudian berdampak pada peningkatan kebugaran jangka pendek setelah latihan. Temuan ini sejalan dengan berbagai kajian nasional dan internasional yang menegaskan efektivitas sport massage sebagai metode pemulihan. Secara keseluruhan, sport massage terbukti efektif digunakan sebagai bagian dari program pemulihan atlet beladiri untuk mengurangi kelelahan, mempertahankan performa fisik, serta meningkatkan kesiapan menghadapi latihan berikutnya. Dengan demikian, sport massage layak direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pemulihan yang aplikatif dalam kegiatan latihan berintensitas tinggi.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of resistance band training on increasing top spin power in table tennis among PTM Mantang athletes in 2025. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. Twenty athletes were sampled using a total sampling technique. The instrument used was a medicine ball throw test from a seated position, modified to resemble a top spin movement. Each athlete was given three attempts during the pretest and posttest, and the highest score was used in the analysis. Normality testing was performed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, and the results showed that the data were normally distributed. Therefore, analysis continued using a paired sample t-test. The test results showed a mean difference of -0.26000 with a t-value of -9.776 and a significance value of p=0.001 (p<0.005). This indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. Thus, resistance band training has been shown to have a significant effect on increasing top spin power in PTM Mantang table tennis athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of providing sport massage on physical fitness in UKM Teqball IPNG athletes in 2024/2025. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive design with one group pretest-posttest without a control group. The sample in this study were 10 athletes from the IPNG Teqball UKM who were selected based on certain criteria. The instrument used to measure physical fitness was a fitness test conducted before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests to ensure the feasibility of the parametric test. The results of the homogeneity test showed that the data had the same variance, with a significance value of 0.104 greater than 0.05. Furthermore, a Paired Sample T-Test was used to see the difference in pretest and post-test scores. The results of the analysis showed an average difference of -10.7400, and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001. This value is smaller than 0.05, thus indicating a significant effect between the administration of sport massage on the physical fitness of athletes. Based on these results, it can be concluded that sport massage can be used as an effective recovery method to improve the overall physical condition of athletes.
