Abstract

Drug abuse is increasingly common among teenagers due to environmental influences. Peer influence plays a role in providing counseling to help students avoid drug abuse. The study aimed to describe the influence of peer counseling knowledge to grow motivation to prevent drug abuse in students. The measuring instruments for this research used a peer counseling knowledge questionnaire and a drug abuse prevention motivation questionnaire. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 30 students. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression with a significance value of 0.005 <0.05, which means that there is a very significant influence of Peer Counseling Knowledge on Motivation to Prevent Drug Abuse in students. In the R Square (R) test, an R Square value of 0.251 (25.1%) was obtained. This shows that the peer counseling knowledge variable influences the motivation to prevent drug abuse by 25.1%. Meanwhile, 74.9% were influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Aceh merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang rawan terhadap bencana. Menghadapi kondisi tersebut, perlu adanya kesiapsiagaan terhadap bencana khususnya organisasi kemahasiswaan (Ormawa) yang merupakan agen perubahan. Meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan terhadap bencana, diperlukan pengetahuan dalam memberikan pertolongan secara psikologis saat dan setelah terjadinya bencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pengetahuan Psychological First Aid (PFA) terhadap kesiapsiagaan bencana pada mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam Organisasi Kemahasiswaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mix-methode) yaitu menggabungkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sebagai metode utama dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif sebagai metode penunjang. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 37 Ormawa yang tersebar di beberapa Fakultas di Universitas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pengetahuan Psychological First Aid (PFA) terhadap kesiapsiagaan bencana pada mahasiswa yang tergabung di Organisasi Kemahasiswaan dengan nilai β=0.864, ρ=0,000 (ρ<0,05). Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan PFA dapat meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan bencana pada mahasiswa di organisasi kemahasiswaan.

Abstract

Penyelesaian skripsi tepat waktu merupakan tantangan bagi mahasiswa dalam mencapai kelulusan. Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry mencatat bahwa rata-rata persentase kelulusan tepat waktu dari angkatan 2016-2019 hanya sekitar 52,46%, jauh di bawah perguruan tinggi terkemuka di Indonesia yang mencapai di atas 70%. Dalam proses pengerjaan skripsi, dibutuhkan kegigihan (grit) untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan, namun fenomena rendahnya grit pada mahasiswa masih sering ditemui. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi grit adalah harapan (Duckworth, 2016). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harapan dengan grit pada mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 264 mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dari populasi 3.883 mahasiswa.  Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala yaitu skala harapan yang disusun berdasarkan teori Snyder (1994) dengan reliabilitas 0,914 dan skala grit yang diadopsi dari Padila (2024) berdasarkan teori Duckworth (2007) dengan reliabilitas 0,759. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,775 dengan nilai signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,000 yang artinya  terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara harapan dengan grit. Semakin tinggi harapan yang dimiliki mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula grit yang dimilikinya dalam mengerjakan skripsi. Sumbangan efektif harapan terhadap grit mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry ialah sebesar 60,1%, sedangkan 39,9% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.

Abstract

The quarter-life crisis is a period of turmoil in which individuals experience anxiety and restlessness as they begin to question their life goals, direction, achievements, and overall life satisfaction. Based on field observations, many final-year students experience this phenomenon, including students at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This may occur because final-year students are in a transitional phase from the academic world to the professional world, leading them to begin questioning their future careers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between career maturity and quarter-life crisis among final-year students at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. The population in this study consisted of 4,913 final-year students, with a sample of 239 students. The instruments used were the Career Maturity Scale, developed based on the aspects proposed by Super (as cited in Saifuddin, 2018), and the Quarter-Life Crisis Scale, constructed based on the aspects proposed by Robbins and Wilner (2001). The hypothesis testing technique used was the Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis, which produced a correlation coefficient of r = -0.544 with a significance value of p = 0.000. These results indicate a significant negative relationship between career maturity and quarter-life crisis, meaning that the higher the career maturity, the lower the quarter-life crisis experienced by final-year students at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Hardiness among twelfth-grade vocational high school students can help them face and anticipate challenges related to career adaptability. When students lack hardiness in developing the willingness to engage in career development tasks, their level of career adaptability tends to be low, which may significantly affect their future. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between hardiness and career adaptability among twelfth-grade students of Vocational High Schools in Banda Raya District, Banda Aceh. This study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The instruments used were the Hardiness Scale, developed based on aspects adapted from the scale by Lutfi, Jasmadi, and Nova, and the Career Adaptability Scale by Savickas. The population consisted of 782 students, with a sample of 243 students selected through probability sampling using the cluster (area) sampling technique. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient (r) = 0.886 with a significance value (p) = 0.000, indicating a highly significant positive relationship between hardiness and career adaptability among the students. This means that the higher the level of hardiness, the higher the level of career adaptability; conversely, the lower the hardiness, the lower the career adaptability among twelfth-grade vocational students in Banda Raya District, Banda Aceh

Abstract

Iklim yang baik pada sebuah organisasi sangat mempengaruh workplace well- being yang dirasakan oleh anggota organisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara iklim organisasi dengan workplace well-being pada Pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Alat ukur penelitian ini yaitu skala iklim organisasi yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi dari Lussier (Indrasari, 2017) dan skala workplace well-being yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi dari Demo dan Paschoal (2016). Jumlah populasi sebanyak 269 pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Aceh Barat dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 149 pegawai. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi rho (????) sebesar 0,614 dengan p=0,00 yang menandakan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara antara iklim organisasi dengan workplace well-being pada Pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Aceh Barat. Artinya semakin tinggi iklim organisasi maka semakin tinggi workplace well-being, sebaliknya semakin rendah iklim organisasi maka semakin rendah workplace well-being pada Pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Aceh Barat.

Abstract

Organizational commitment refers to an individual’s desire to remain within an organization. Locus of control is considered to influence an individual’s level of organizational commitment. Locus of control is divided into two types: internal locus of control and external locus of control. This study aims to examine the influence of locus of control on organizational commitment among members of the Ar-Risalah Campus Da’wah Organization at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. The research employed a quantitative approach, with data analysis conducted using multiple linear regression, and the saturated sampling technique was applied for participant selection. The instruments used in this study were the Locus of Control Scale and the Organizational Commitment Scale. The results of the hypothesis testing indicated that the external locus of control dimension had a significant influence on organizational commitment among members of the Ar-Risalah Campus Da’wah Organization at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, with a significance value of 0.024 (p < 0.05). This finding means that the external locus of control dimension significantly affects organizational commitment.

Abstract

Bullying can occur anywhere and can be experienced by anyone, even at school. This condition affects students' subjective well-being and ultimately impacts their happiness during the learning process at school. This study aims to investigate the influence of subjective well-being on the happiness of boarding school students who are victims of bullying in Aceh. The respondents in this study consisted of 313 students from boarding schools in Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh. The measurement tools used were a modified version of the Subjective Well-Being Inventory (SUBI) and the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.387 and a significance level of 0.000 (p0.05), indicating a positive relationship between subjective well-being and happiness. The higher the level of subjective well-being felt by students, the greater their happiness. Conversely, the lower the level of subjective well-being felt by students, the lower their happiness among boarding school students who are victims of bullying in Aceh. Further research needs to consider other psychosocial variables and cross-cultural perspectives to deepen our understanding of the role of subjective well-being in adolescent happiness.Abstrak: Bullying dapat terjadi di mana saja dan dapat dialami oleh siapa saja, bahkan di sekolah. Kondisi ini memengaruhi kesejahteraan subjektif siswa dan pada akhirnya berdampak pada kebahagiaan mereka selama proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kesejahteraan subjektif terhadap kebahagiaan siswa sekolah asrama yang menjadi korban bullying di Aceh. Responden dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 313 siswa dari sekolah asrama di Aceh Besar dan Banda Aceh. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah versi modifikasi dari Inventori Kesejahteraan Subjektif (SUBI) dan Kuesioner Kebahagiaan Oxford. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana, dengan nilai korelasi (r) sebesar 0,387 dan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p0,05) artinya terdapat pengaruh positif antara kesejahteraan subjektif dan kebahagiaan. Semakin tinggi tingkat kesejahteraan subjektif yang dirasakan oleh siswa, semakin besar kebahagiaan mereka. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat kesejahteraan subjektif yang dirasakan oleh siswa, semakin rendah pula kebahagiaan di antara siswa sekolah asrama yang menjadi korban bullying di Aceh. Penelitian selanjutnya perlu mempertimbangkan variabel psikososial lain serta perspektif lintas budaya untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang peran subjective well-being terhadap kebahagiaan remaja.

Abstract

Work-Family Balance is an important aspect that must be owned by teaching staff, including female lecturers. One of the factors that can affect work-family balance is workplace well-being. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of workplace well-being towards the work-family balance on female lecturers at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This study used a quantitative approach with the regression method. The research instrument used was the work-family balance scale based on the theory of Greenhaus, Collins, and Shaw (2003) and the workplace well-being scale based on the theory of Paschoal and Tamayo (2008). The population in this study was 186 female lecturers with a research sample of 121 people selected based on a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used a simple linear regression technique which showed the value of R = 0.392 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This indicates that there is a very significant positive effect between workplace well-being on work-family balance of female lecturers at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh

Abstract

Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia that is prone to disasters. Facing these conditions, there is a need for disaster preparedness, especially for student organization members who are agents of change. Improving disaster preparedness requires knowledge of providing psychological assistance during and after disasters. This study aims to see the effect of Psychological First Aid knowledge on the disaster preparedness of student organization members at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This research used a quantitative approach with regression analysis as the main method and descriptive analysis as a supporting method. The participants in this study were 37 student organization members spread across several faculties at UIN Ar-Raniry. The results showed that there was an influence of Psychological First Aid (PFA) knowledge on the disaster preparedness of student organization members at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda with a value of β=0.864, ρ=0.000 (ρ<0.05). This research has implications for improving student organization member's knowledge and preparedness in facing disaster.
