Abstract

Health problems are not only indicated by disease. Attention also needs to be given to people who are between healthy and sick with promotive and preventive efforts. The activity was carried out by optimizing existing resources through promotive and preventive efforts to increase community independence in health status. This community service activity was conducted in Sukabakti Village from 8 August to 21 September 2023. It included health screening, hypertension exercises, optimizing the Harum Madu program by planting medicinal and vegetable seeds, and health education about hypertension. Counselling was also given to students at SDN 2 Sukabakti about Clean and Healthy Living Behavior and students at SMP Plus Al-Kohar and Vocational School Insan Prima Mandiri about reproductive health. The results of the health examination screening showed that several participants had blood pressure >140/90 mmHg and blood sugar >140 mg/dL, they did hypertension exercises well, optimized the Harum Madu program by planting chilli and shallot seeds, and students had a better understanding of the counselling topics provided. It is hoped that the information presented during this activity can be applied to achieve optimal health.

Abstract

Body immunity for a worker major role in providing optimal performance in their work. Good immunity can be obtained by implementing PHBS and consuming herbs which are known to increase immunity. This activity is carried out in order to improve the quality of health in order to improve the quality of people in carrying out their activities, especially work. Community service activities will be carried out on November 13, 2023 to November 20, 2023. Activities include promotional efforts such as providing education about Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) and medicinal plants to increase immunity, moreover providing tutorials on how to process instant granules from TOGA. The results of the pre & post-test scores provide an illustration that there is an increase in understanding of PHBS and TOGA. It is hoped that the information provided will have a positive impact on the health of the UMKM cracker and chips workers in Kampung Rancasalak.

Abstract

Kokristalisasi merupakan salah satu teknik yang berkembang dalam modifikasi bahan aktif farmasi untuk meningkatkan karakteristik fisikokimia dari bahan aktif, khususnya yang memiliki kelarutan rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh metode karakterisasi, yaitu Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray Diffractometry (XRD), dan Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), terhadap kualitas kokristal bahan aktif farmasi dari tahun 2015 hingga 2024. Metode penelusuran pustaka dilakukan melalui Google Scholar. Hasil tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa setiap teknik karakterisasi memiliki peran spesifik dalam memahami perubahan struktur dan sifat fisikokimia kokristal, seperti peningkatan kelarutan, stabilitas termal, dan morfologi permukaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pustaka, metode FTIR, SEM, XRD, dan DSC memberikan kontribusi penting dalam optimasi kualitas kokristal, yang berpotensi meningkatkan bioavailabilitas dan efektivitas bahan aktif farmasi.

Abstract

Stabilitas bahan aktif farmasi (API) merupakan aspek krusial dalam pengembangan obat karena memengaruhi efektivitas, keamanan, dan kualitas produk farmasi. Salah satu pendekatan inovatif untuk meningkatkan stabilitas API adalah melalui pembentukan kokristal, yang menggabungkan API dengan koformer menggunakan interaksi non-kovalen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji metode pembentukan, karakterisasi, serta stabilitas kokristal berdasarkan tinjauan pustaka dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui analisis literatur terhadap teknik pembentukan kokristal, seperti grinding mekanis dan hot melt extrusion, serta karakterisasi menggunakan XRD, FTIR, dan DSC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stabilitas bahan aktif farmasi (API) dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan melalui pembentukan kokristal. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan perbaikan sifat fisikokimia API, seperti stabilitas termal, kelarutan, dan bioavailabilitas, terutama di bawah berbagai kondisi penyimpanan. Pemilihan koformer yang tepat menjadi faktor kunci dalam menciptakan kokristal yang stabil, di mana interaksi molekuler antara API dan koformer berperan penting dalam meningkatkan ketahanan terhadap degradasi. Kesimpulannya, kokristal merupakan solusi strategis dalam formulasi farmasi modern yang mendukung inovasi dan kepatuhan terhadap standar regulasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas obat.

Abstract

Ramipril (RMP) is one of the drugs that has antihypertensive activity. The drawback of the active substance Ramipril is that it is difficult to dissolve, and is classified in Class II in the Biopharmaceutical Classification System. So it needs to be modified with a cocrystal technique to increase solubility without having to change the activity of the active substance. The coformer used to make the cocrystal is nicotinamide. The purpose of this study was to increase the solubility of Ramipril with Nicotinamide coformer. The method in making this cocrystal is Solvent Drop Grinding (SDG) with a ratio of Ramipril: Nicotinamide (1: 2 and 1: 4) using methanol solvent. Then the cocrystal and pure Ramipril will be subjected to characterization tests with FTIR and solubility tests with UV spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 206 nm. The results of the characterization with FTIR prove that a hydrogen bond is formed between Ramipril-Nicotinamide. Then for solubility in aquadest, RN cocrystal 1:2 and 1:4 have higher solubility which is 5.11 mg/mL and 6.71 mg/mL compared to pure Ramipril which has a solubility of 1.69 mg/mL. The conclusion of this study is that RN cocrystal (1:2 and 1:4) has higher solubility compared to pure Ramipril.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi penulisan artikel jurnal ilmiah bagi guru SMP Nurul Falah Johar Karawang melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan berbasis blended learning. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas tiga sesi tatap muka intensif, pendampingan daring berkelanjutan, serta penggunaan teknologi seperti AI generatif dan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman struktur artikel, literasi sitasi, serta kesiapan memanfaatkan teknologi pendukung penulisan. Meskipun masih terdapat tantangan dalam perumusan masalah penelitian dan rasa percaya diri menulis, strategi mentoring mingguan dan klinik tematik dinilai efektif untuk mengatasinya. Refleksi teoritis menguatkan bahwa kombinasi pelatihan berbasis praktik dan coaching berkelanjutan merupakan model yang efektif dalam memperkuat kapasitas publikasi guru. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada pengembangan komunitas penulis sekolah agar tercipta keberlanjutan jangka panjang.

Abstract

Deterioration of active ingredients due to exposure to temperature and humidity is a challenge in the development and storage of products containing active ingredients in the pharmaceutical industry. Exposure to high temperatures can accelerate the thermal degradation of active ingredients through mechanisms such as oxidation, decomposition, or Maillard reactions, resulting in decreased efficacy of active ingredients and the generation of undesirable degradation products. Meanwhile, high humidity also plays a role in accelerating the hydrolysis reaction of water-sensitive active ingredients, such as esters or amides, which reduces the chemical stability of the active ingredients. The combination of high temperature and high humidity often results in more complex degradation reactions compared to isolated temperature or humidity conditions, which can accelerate the decline in efficacy of active ingredients. Therefore, this article aims to explore various methods to view the stability of active ingredients under certain conditions, as well as provide recommendations for the development of more efficient formulations and storage strategies to maintain the stability and efficacy of active ingredients throughout the product's shelf life.
