Abstract

Trichoderma sp and cow manure as biofertilation that supports the growth and production of horticultural and food crops. The aim of the research is to determine the application time of Trichoderma sp on purple eggplant plants, to determine the interaction between the Trichoderma sp fungus and which dose of manure provides the best growth and production on purple eggplant plants. This research method was prepared based on a split plot design (SPD), with 12 treatment combinations, each treatment repeated 3 times so that there were 36 experimental units. The main plot is the dose of cow manure (p), consisting of 3 levels, namely, p1 (cow manure dose 500 g/polybag), p2 (cow manure dose 750 g/polybag), p3 (cow manure dose 1000 g/ polybag). The subplot is the application time of Trichoderma sp (a), consisting of 4 application times, namely, t0 (without Trichoderma sp), t1 (1 week before planting), t2 (at planting time), t3 (1 week after planting). The treatment of Trichoderma sp application time has no effect on the growth and production of purple eggplant plants due to the dose of Trichoderma sp is not optimal, giving a dose of manure 1000g.polybag is more effective than 750g.polybag and 500g.polybag on production (length and weight of fruit/plant) purple eggplant. The interaction between the dose of manure 500g.polybag with Trichoderma sp application time 1 week before planting gave the best effect on the growth of crown weight, root weight and production (length of fruit/plant) of purple eggplant

Abstract

The conventional process of printing meatballs using hands and spoons is considered less efficient in the production process both in quality and quantity. Meanwhile, commercially available meatball printing machines are bulky and complicated to use. Therefore, the design of a meatball making machine that has smaller dimensions can be developed at a more affordable price. This research began by designing a meatball printing machine using the SolidWorks software, with a frame design made of U-profile iron, meatball containers made of stainless steel cylinders, and packaging boxes for the electrical system from the relay. In the operation of the meatball molding machine, pneumatic is used as a drive system with a time delay relay to control the time for cutting the meatball dough. The manufacture of this machine produces a pneumatic-based meatball molding machine with constant pressure, with an automatic system using a time delay relay of 2 seconds for cutting forward and 0.2 seconds for cutting backward. From testing the machine applying a mass of 2.5 kg meatball dough, 192 meatballs were obtained, with a processing time of 7 minutes 29 seconds, with a remaining dough mass of 4 ounces, and an average meatball diameter of 24.95 mm.

Abstract

Vocational education in the senior level, namlely Vocational High School (SMK), is designed to prepare graduates with high skills who are ready to compete in the work zone, both with competence and through entrepreneurship in order to face the demographic bonus. SMK Negeri 1 Bangkinang as a partner of the Politeknik Kampar has a major in the Mechanical Engineering. Generally, the major of Mechanical Engineering will be prepared in with competencies of Computer Aided Design (CAD). However, there are limitations to apply Solid Works software, which is currently in great demand in the industry. Therefore, the The major of Maintenance and Repair Engineering Politeknik Kampar participates in improving the competency of students at SMK Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota through CAD Static Simulation Training activities using Solidworks Software. The training activity material contains an introduction to Solidworks, static simulation theory, namely stress, strain and deformation. At the end of the training activity session, an increase in partner competency was obtained regarding the use of Solid Works software in image creation and static simulation. Evaluation of activities through partner satisfaction questionnaires also found that partners were 100% satisfied with the PkM activities carried out.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan blockboard menggunakan limbah batang kelapa sawit, serta membandingkan kualitasnya, baik sifat fisik maupun mekanik, dengan produk blockboard komersial. Fokus pengujian meliputi ketahanan tarik, fleksibilitas dan penyerapan air. Bahan utama yang digunakan adalah residu dari proses pembaruan perkebunan kelapa sawit berumur 25-30 tahun, dengan batang yang diambil 0-1 meter dan 1-2 meter dari tanah. Temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa blockboard dari batang kelapa sawit, terutama yang diambil 0-1 meter dari dasar, menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik dalam aspek kekuatan tarik dan lentur dibandingkan dengan versi komersialnya. Namun, produk komersil memiliki keunggulan dalam hal penyerapan air dibandingkan dengan prototipe dari batang kelapa sawit

Abstract

Perangkat mikrokontroller saat ini telah banyak diaplikasikan untuk membantu pekerjaaan atau permasalahan yang dihadapi terutama yang berkaitan dengan sistem otomasi. Pekerjaan yang dilakukan dengan sistem otomasi akan membuat pekerjan lebih mudah, efektif dan efesien. Salah satu aplikasi dari perangkat mikrokontroller adalah data logger yang dapat merekam suatu data secara terus menerus dan berkala selama 24 jam. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sebuah prototype data logger untuk suhu dan kelembaban. Sistem perekeman data (data logger) suhu dan kelembaban dilakukan secara otomatis dengan menggunakan arduino uno dan disimpan ke sebuah SD. Arduino merupakan salah satu varian modul mikrokontroller yang mudah dimengerti, open source dan dasar pemogramannya menggunakan bahasa C. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor SHT11 untuk mengukur suhu dan kelembaban, RTC (Real Time Clock), Modul SD card, Kartu Memori, LCD dan Wifi.

Abstract

The use of Centrifuge Decanter as a waste treatment in industry has been widely used. Centrifuge Decanter separates waste in the form of a mixture of solids and liquids (slury) by utilizing the centrifugal force generated by the difference in the rotation of the tube (bowl) and screw conveyor. The rotation of the screw conveyor is reduced through a cycloidal gearbox. The shaft in the cycloid breaks during operation, for that it is necessary to conduct research to determine the cause of this shaft fracture. This research starts from a literature study that discusses the working mechanism of the decanter and the causes of the failure of the cycloidal gearbox shaft. For completeness of the analysis, data collection includes data on engine operation, physical and mechanical properties of the shaft material, fractography of the shaft and the stresses acting on the shaft. From the results of data analysis, it is known that the shaft has ductile fracture due to overload. The load that causes the shaft to break is the torsional load that comes from the rotation of the decanter tube at the initial start of the engine. Torque due to the rotation of the tube produces a shear stress that exceeds the yield stress of the shaft material plus a stress concentration factor in the fractured shaft fillet area.

Abstract

In the practical and sophisticated world of the manufacturing industry, the best product results are needed. To answer market needs that want products with maximum results and produce them in a short time, the non-conventional Computer Numerical Controlled Lathe (CNC) is available as a machine tool production tool that is controlled using a computer system to cut workpieces which are rotated to determine the roughness value on the workpiece surface. The aim of this research is to obtain the lowest surface roughness results. Using S45C carbon steel material with Sumitomo CNMG 120404-N-Gu-AC8025 brand insert with a Radius of 0.4 mm on the SKT 160A CNC Turning machine. The next process is the process of turning the workpiece with variations in cutting depth of 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.7 mm, 0.8 mm , 0.9mm, 1.0mm, 1.1mm. Using the G96 program code, the feed movement is 0.15 mm/rev with a constant spindle speed of 2700 rpm and using a Stylus as a measure of surface roughness value. By carrying out 1 test on 11 samples, each sample consisting of 3 test points. Based on the results of surface roughness data, the lowest average Ra roughness results for an insert radius of 0.4 mm were 1,115 µm at a cutting depth of 0.6 mm and was included in the roughness tolerance value N6.
