Abstract

Waduk merupakan tempat penampungan air yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh Masyarakat sebagai alternatif pengairan tambak dan sawah saat musim kemarau dan sebagai tempat pencarian ikan saat musim penghujan, sehingga keberadaan  waduk sangat bermanfaat bagi petani maupun masyarakat setempat. Identifikasi dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis Fitoplankton dan Zooplankton yang ada di waduk jajong. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di dalam waduk Jajong, kemudian dibagi menjadi tiga lokasi diantaranya : pintu masuknnya air, bagian tengah waduk dan pintu keluar air. Kemudian dilakukan identifikasi di Laboratorium Biologi Universitas Billfath. Hasil identifikasi Fitoplankton Divisi bacillariophyta (Alga/Diatom) paling banyak ditemukan, Hasil identifikasi Zooplankton Divisi Arthropoda yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Euterpina.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan plankton yang ada di lambung udang vaname dapat dijadikan parameter pakan yang dikonsumsi udang vaname serta kestabilan kondisi lingkungan. Keanekaragaman jenis plankton yang tinggi menunjukkan sejumlah besar individu dari setiap spesies, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air lingkungan berada dalam kisaran yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan organisme hortikultura. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi jenis plankton paa lambung udang vaname dan untuk mengetahui nilai kelimpahan, indeks keanekaragaman dan indeks dominansi di Waduk Jabung  Laren Lamongan. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif  kuantitatif dan termasuk penelitian eksplorasi yang dilakukan dengan cara mengamati dan mengidentifikasi plankton yang ada di lambung uang vaname dan dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus kelimpahan, keanekaragaman dan indeks dominannsi. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa dari keseluruhan ditemukan 4 spesies fitoplankton yaitu  Oscillatoria sp, Spirulina sp, Chroococcus turgidus, Chlorella, dan ditemukan 1 spesies  yaitu keratela sp. Hasil perhitungan kelimpahan plankton berkisar antara 24,33-43,33 Ind/l, indeks keanekaragaman 0,15 - 0,77, dan indeks dominansi 0,48 - 0,94. Jadi, berdasarkan faktor fisika, faktor kimia, dan faktor biologi yang telah diteliti perairan Waduk Jajong tergolong kualitas air yang kurang baik.

Abstract

Chili is one of the superior horticultural products which has quite high economic value. The demand for large red chili supplies is causes farmers to plant chilies continuously without paying attention to environmental factors. The use of kasgot fertilizer in the cultivation process can have a positive impact on plants. This research aimed to determine the effect of doses variants for the growth of Capsicum annuum L. The research method used RAL with 6 treatments K1: 150g. K2: 175g, K3: 200g, K4: 225g, K5: 250g, and K6: 275g each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 24 samples. Observation parameters include plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit and fruit weight. Data analysis used One Way ANOVA and continued with the Tukey test. Varying doses of kasgot fertilizer have a real influence on the growth parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit and fruit weight. Treatment with a dose of kasgot fertilizer (K1) 150g gave the highest average number of fruit (10.3 pieces) and fruit weight (82.375g). Meanwhile, a dose of 175g (K2) gave the highest average plant height (37.5 cm) and number of leaves (50.45 each). So the optimal dosage of kasgot fertilizer for the growth of large red chili plants is around 150-175g.

Abstract

Continuous chemical control of rat pests (Rattus spp.) can sometimes lead to resistance and resurgence problems, and even some cases of inaccurate targeting ultimately killing livestock. The idea of ​​​​repelling rats in rice fields using vibrations of crickets and other natural animals transmitted via radio has been done and the results are quite optimal for rat control, but it has not been done in corn cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cat sound audio on the intensity of rat pest attacks (Rattus spp.) in corn (Zea mays L.) plantations. The research location was in a farmer's land owned by a farmer in Dagan Village, Solokuro District, Lamongan Regency. Determination of sampling points using the diagonal method, each into 5 sub-observation plots. In each sub-plot, markers were placed as sampling points. Audio with cat and bird sounds was played continuously from 05.00 pm - 07.00 am. Observations were conducted at 7:00 a.m. at all sampling points at 30 and 60 days after planting. Observations were conducted for three days using audio and three days without audio. Damage symptoms were observed directly at each sampling point. Corn plants showing symptoms were then recorded and analyzed using the Damage Intensity formula. Observations showed that the use of cat sound audio was able to reduce the level of rat infestation. At 30 days after planting, the damage percentage was reduced by 8.33%. Meanwhile, at 60 days after planting, the damage percentage was reduced by 18.33%.
