Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the reading and writing literacy levels of elementary school students and to assess the extent to which the Independent Curriculum contributes to improving literacy in Gunungkidul Regency, located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This region is predominantly rural and faces challenges related to limited access and inadequate educational facilities. The lack of educational resources—such as quality reading materials, proper libraries, and technological infrastructure—poses a major obstacle to enhancing student literacy. The research employs a quantitative approach to analyze numerical data, emphasizing standardized data collection methods and utilizing statistical analysis to test hypotheses. This approach is intended to provide a comprehensive understanding of students' reading and writing literacy skills. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools across the Gunungkidul area has not yet produced a significant impact on improving students' literacy skills. This is evident from the average test scores, which remain below the Minimum Completion Criteria (MCC) set by the schools: 65.6 in the control group and 61.4 in the experimental group. Therefore, it can be concluded that the reading and writing literacy levels of elementary school students in the region remain relatively low.

Abstract

Curriculum changes have operational consequences for their implementation by teachers as the frontline implementers. Not all teachers have easy access to curriculum socialization information, resulting in low understanding and difficulty in implementing the expected learning. On the other hand, elementary school is a transitional stage from preschool to formal school, which raises problems when children are not ready. Guidance and counseling (BK) as a party that can help intervene if there is a problem, there are no special personnel assigned to elementary schools. Guidance and counseling in elementary schools must still be carried out by class teachers. The golden age is at an early age (PAUD level) and early elementary school classes, requiring stimulation so that the development of various aspects is optimal. Class teachers with various administrative tasks and teaching tasks for almost all subjects will have difficulty providing stimulation for individual student development. The characteristics of lower and upper grade elementary school students are different, requiring a relevant BK learning/service approach. Child development problems can be experienced by children at the elementary school age stage, both in learning, personal, social, and career problems. Permendikbud 111 of 2014 has mandated that there are BK teachers in elementary schools, but its implementation in the field has not yet been realized. This article presents a study of various problems in elementary school children, furthermore it is expected that appropriate alternative solutions can be provided. After knowing the various problems in the field and also from theoretical studies, teaching materials or service materials can be developed that are enjoyable for students, in accordance with the development stage, and help facilitate class teachers in providing optimal development stimulation to their students.

Abstract

The instrument is said to be valid if the instrument can measure what is to be measured. Type of construct validity using the method confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with the help of software SPSS. The results of this study say that 15 instrument items consist of critical thinking, motivation, and learning achievement variables, after confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) it can be seen that the variables are grouped into 3 factors. Members of factor 1 are pb1, pb2, pb3, pb4, and pb5. Then those included in the dimension factor 2 are mt1, mt 2, mt ​​3, mt 4, and mt 5. Those included in factor 3 are bk1, bk2, bk3, bk4, and bk 5. So it can be concluded that all items are grouped and have a value loading factor > 0.5 thus all variables are declared valid.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menggambarkan pemanfaatan video pembelajaran sebagai inovasi media dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai materi panca indra di kelas V SDN Bondalem serta untuk menganalisis respons siswa terhadap penerapan media tersebut. Permasalahan yang diteliti adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA ketika guru masih banyak mengandalkan metode ceramah. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokomentasi. Kemudian dianalisis secara bertahap melalui mengumpulkan data, reduksi data, dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan video pembelajaran berhasil meningkatkan minat, motivasi, serta pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi panca indra. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, penuh semangat, dan mampu menjelaskan konsep secara konkret setelah melihat visualisasi melalui video. Terlebih lagi, guru dapat menyesuaikan video dengan sifat gaya belajar siswa, sehingga pembelajaran terasa lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini memperkuat teori pembelajaran multimedia dan konstruktivisme.

Abstract

Akhlak adalah persoalan yang sering terjadi dalam mendidik anak, karena akhlak selalu berhubungan dengan perilaku manusia dalam pembentukan peradaban. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini yaitu digunakan dalam mengetahui bagaimana akhlak sebagai tumpuan kecerdasan anak dan ayat maupun hadist tentang pendidikan akhlak pada anak. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kajian kepustakaan terhadap buku, peraturan perundangan-undangan, makalah seminar, prosiding, dan jurnal ilmiah. Hasil penelitian memaparkan bahwa manusia ciptaan Allah SWT yang paling sempurna. Kategori kecerdasan intelektual dan emosional terdapat pada diri manusia. Namun, kecerdasan tidak berkembang jika sekelilingnya seperti orang tua, masyarakat, maupun lingkungan sekitar tidak ikut serta dalam proses pembentukan akhlak anak. Hal tersebut dikarenakan dasar perkembangan yaitu dari pengaruh lingkunganan anak. Ayat dan hadist tentang pendidikan akhlak pada anak yaitu terdapat dalam surah Al-qur’an QS Ali Imran ayat 112, dan 159-160. Hadist mengenai pendidikan akhlak telah diriwayatkan oleh al-Bukhârî tentang ibu atau keluarga merupakan madrasah pertama bagi anak-anaknya.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca merupakan keterampilan dasar yang sangat penting bagi siswa sekolah dasar dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Namun, berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi membaca siswa Indonesia masih tergolong rendah akibat penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang menarik, rendahnya partisipasi siswa, serta minimnya keterkaitan materi dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis efektivitas pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan literasi membaca siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menyeleksi 39 artikel relevan dari total 100 studi yang diterbitkan pada rentang tahun 2019–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CTL secara konsisten mampu meningkatkan pemahaman membaca, minat baca, dan motivasi belajar siswa melalui pengaitan materi bacaan dengan pengalaman nyata. Integrasi strategi seperti Problem Based Learning, penggunaan media visual, serta pembelajaran kolaboratif turut memperkuat efektivitas CTL. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi praktik pembelajaran di sekolah dasar serta menjadi rekomendasi bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas literasi membaca.

Abstract

Systematic Literature Review sistematis ini menelaah peran keterlibatan orang tua dalam meningkatkan literasi digital anak sekolah dasar. Menggunakan panduan PRISMA, studi ini menganalisis artikel-artikel yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025 dan terindeks di Google Scholar serta Scopus. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan berbagai bentuk dukungan orang tua, mulai dari praktik berbasis rumah hingga kolaborasi dengan pihak sekolah. Namun, keterbatasan kompetensi digital dan waktu menjadi tantangan utama. Hasil Systematic Literature Review menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital pada anak sekolah dasar memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan anak dalam menggunakan teknologi secara bijak, aman, dan bertanggung jawab. Anak yang memiliki literasi digital dari pendampingan orang tua yang baik cenderung mampu mengakses dan memanfaatkan media digital untuk tujuan pembelajaran, memahami etika dalam berinteraksi di ruang digital, serta memiliki kesadaran terhadap risiko seperti konten negatif dan informasi yang menyesatkan.

Abstract

Reading literacy is a basic competence that must be mastered by elementary school students; however, students’ reading literacy in Indonesia remains relatively low due to limited literacy facilities, suboptimal teacher roles, and the lack of literacy media aligned with student characteristics in blended learning. This study aimed to develop digital book–based literacy media and examine its feasibility and effectiveness in improving the reading literacy of third-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of needs analysis at Pilangrejo and Natah Elementary Schools, media design and development using Flip PDF Corporate Edition, validation by media and content experts, and implementation in an experimental class. The results showed that the digital book media was categorized as very feasible based on evaluations by media experts with a score of 57 (95), material experts with a score of 60 (100), and third-grade teachers with a score of 54 (90). Effectiveness testing indicated a significant improvement in students’ reading literacy, as evidenced by the t-test results in the experimental class (t = 2.787 > t-table = 2.037), while the control class showed no significant difference (t = 1.413 < t-table = 2.145). These findings demonstrate that digital book–based literacy media is effective in increasing elementary school students’ reading literacy in blended learning.
