Abstract

The research problem are the students’ low writing skills in Arabic subjects and the teaching strategies used in the classroom. Hence, the researcher used the PAILKEM strategy with active learning and the Word Square model included in it. The PAILKEM strategy has been modified to become a strategic practice in improving the writing skills of Al-Asy'ari Elementary School pupils. With the PAILKEM strategy, the students become motivated to participate in lessons and the responsibility of the students is higher because the learning is grouped captivatingly but still takes care of the learning objectives that have been set. The results showed that after the PAILKEM strategy implementation, there were significant changes in students' learning, specifically in studying writing skills and developing students' social skills during the teaching process. The teaching activities were also effective.

Abstract

This study aims to measure psychological gestures and language acuity (linguistics) from sensory integration barriers or disorders in a child with Down syndrome named Muhammad Syauqi, with an IQ below 45, a child with special needs from QIS Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to determine linguistic ability (language ability related to pronunciation sharpness, duration of memorizing Arabic vocabulary, and language regularity), psychological resilience in the process of speaking Arabic, and to identify pronunciation barriers that are owned by the cognitive abilities of children with Down syndrome IQ in below 45. This study uses qualitative research with observation methods, namely field observations, accompanied by analysis and distribution methods, namely listening, taking notes, changing, and replacing. The descriptive analysis method is used to present information and data. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis by describing and summarizing the data obtained statistically. The analysis results show that language use in children with Down syndrome, namely Muhammad Syauqi, is very different because apart from the lower average IQ, obstacles to pronunciation acuity also occur due to physical disorders in the mouth to the throat. Down syndrome children can only say one word because of the lack of vocabulary. Children with Down syndrome will point to the object they want when asking for something. Children with Down syndrome have difficulty pronouncing the vowels /alif/, /fa'/, /syin/, /shod/, /hot/ /'ain/, and /groin/, as well as the vibration of the sound /ro'/. Children with Down syndrome also experience difficulties pronouncing the correct articulation, even sounds that sound unclear, and sometimes make faint sounds without meaning that cannot be understood.

Abstract

Reading difficulties or dyslexia pose a big challenge for children, especially in understanding Arabic texts due to the language's unique morphophonemic rules. This study aims to understand how children with dyslexia face challenges in acquiring basic reading skills in Arabic and to identify effective teaching strategies to improve their Maharaj qira'ahQur'an This research method uses a qualitative approach, combining literature analysis, observation, and experimentation in the educational environment at RA Mamba'ulMamba'ulHisan Surabaya. A literature review was initially conducted to build a theoretical foundation, exploring previous studies on phonology, reading teaching, and qira'ah pedagogy. Data collection techniques through observation and experiments are carried out by applying teaching strategies identified from literature and observation analysis into classroom practice. The collected data was analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of this strategy in increasing the maharah qira'ah of dyslexic children. Research findings show that phonological awareness is very important in learning maharah qira'ah and that phonology-based teaching strategies significantly improve reading and comprehension skills in dyslexic children. This research contributes to developing inclusive teaching practices, especially at RA Mamba'ulMamba'ulHisan Surabaya, providing valuable insight into effective educational strategies for children with reading difficulties.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of phonetic teaching on the perception of fifth-grade students Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum Al Ghazali Paterongan Galis Bangkalan in learning Arabic, focusing on the mispronunciation of Arabic letters. It was found that the lack of attention from teachers to the correct sounds of Arabic letters led to pronunciation errors among students. The research methods included classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and phonetic tests. The results showed that students who received more focused phonetic instruction exhibited significant improvement in the pronunciation of Arabic letters. Students taught with proper phonetic methods were better able to distinguish and pronounce Arabic letters correctly compared to those who did not receive adequate phonetic instruction. The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of correct phonetic teaching in the Arabic learning process to reduce pronunciation errors and enhance student fluency. Recommendations for teaching practices include teacher training in Arabic phonetics and integrating phonetic methods into the learning curriculum.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines how MTs Wachid Hasyim Surabaya, an inclusive school, apply William Francis Mackey's Four Aspects of Language Learning Theory to teach Arabic to special needs pupils in Grade 8. The study focuses on the application of phonetics, grammar, semantics, and graphology to improve students' learning of the Arabic language.  A qualitative approach is used to analyze teaching methods, learning materials, and student progress in inclusive classroom settings. Findings suggest that incorporating phonetic exercises helps students, particularly those with speech impairments, enhance their pronunciation. Grammar instruction is adapted to incorporate visual and interactive media, supporting students with ADHD and those who are slow learners. Semantic teaching is reinforced through contextual storytelling and role-playing, making it easier for students to grasp meaning. Graphology-based techniques can help children with learning disabilities improve their writing and reading skills. The study highlights the importance of multimodal and adaptive teaching methods in meeting a range of learning needs. This study provides suggestions for enhancing teaching strategies based on Mackey's framework and facilitates the development of inclusive Arabic language teaching models.
