Abstract

Pengembangan kurikulum saat ini menggunakan platform Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan suatu wadah kepada perguruan tinggi dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menjadi sarjana yang memiliki keahlian di bidang ilmu dan teknologi, memiliki karakter yang kuat, dan mampu menghadapi tantangan di dunia kerja. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan implementasi kurikulum Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program Studi Bahasa Arab pada IAIN Kudus dan STAI Al-Mujtahadah Pekanbaru. Penilitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Jenis pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, catatan lapangan, memo, dan dokumen-dokumen resmi. Dari kedua kampus tersebut implementasi kurikulum melalui tahapan-tahapan; a) Pengembangan Program Pembelajaran, b) Memfasilitasi Mahasiswa yang akan Mengambil Pembelajaran Lintas Prodi Dalam Perguruan Tinggi, c) Menawarkan mata kuliah yang bisa diambil oleh mahasiswa di luar prodi dan luar Perguruan Tinggi beserta persyaratannya, d) Melakukan ekuivalensi mata kuliah dengan kegiatan pembelajaran luar prodi dan luar Perguruan Tinggi. Dari implementasi tersebut terdapat kendala-kendala terutama bagi perguruan tinggi yang belum mempunya kesiapan terkait dengan sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasana yang berimbas pada adanya kemitraan dan kolaborasi antar perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to comprehensively examine the impact of individual aspects on second language (L2) acquisition. The effectiveness of the teaching and learning process is significantly influenced by the cognitive, emotional, and motivational traits of learners. This study, based on chapter 10 of Rod Ellis's book Language Teaching Research and Language Pedagogy, seeks to investigate how elements such as language aptitude, working memory, language anxiety, and willingness to speak influence the effectiveness of teaching in second language (L2) learning. This study employs a qualitative methodology utilizing a literature review approach. Data is gathered and examined using content analysis techniques based on the Krippendorf framework. The study findings suggest that these individual variables have a major impact on learners' reactions to teaching, as well as the specific learning outcomes attained, particularly in certain instructional circumstances. These findings highlight the significance of an individualized pedagogical approach, wherein educators must take into account the distinctive attributes of each student in order to maximize the learning process and attain superior outcomes in second language acquisition. Keywords: Individual factors, Second language acquisition, Rod Ellis Abstrak Penelitian ini berangkat dari kebutuhan untuk memahami secara mendalam peran faktor individu dalam pembelajaran bahasa kedua (L2), yang mana keberhasilan proses belajar-mengajar sangat dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik kognitif, afektif, dan motivasional peserta didik. Dengan merujuk pada bab 10 dari buku Language Teaching Research and Language Pedagogy karya Rod Ellis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana faktor-faktor seperti aptitude bahasa, memori kerja, kecemasan berbahasa, dan kesiapan untuk berkomunikasi memediasi efektivitas instruksi dalam pembelajaran L2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, di mana data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis melalui teknik analisis isi berdasarkan kerangka Krippendorf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor individu ini secara signifikan memengaruhi respons peserta didik terhadap instruksi, serta hasil belajar yang dicapai, terutama dalam konteks instruksi yang spesifik. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan pengajaran yang dipersonalisasi, di mana guru perlu mempertimbangkan karakteristik unik setiap peserta didik untuk mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran dan mencapai hasil yang lebih baik dalam pembelajaran bahasa kedua. Abstract

Based on the results of preliminary study and interviewing Arabic language teachers, it was found that the student's competency in class VII at Pondok Pesantren Assalam (Assalam Boarding School) of Naga Beralih in Kampar Utara was relatively weak; and they were afraid to speak or to perform storytelling and dialogue. Then, if they do a dialogue, they will not be able to do it fluently yet. The research was carried out in an experimental design that requires an experimental class and a control class. The sample was 40 students who were randomly assigned to the experimental class and the control class. The instruments for collecting the data were (1) an observation sheet, (2) a test, and (3) documentation. The obtained data were analyzed by using SPSS Statistics, Version18. The research results showed that (1) the implementation Mubasyaroh method by using Question Ball Media was very well with a percentage of 95%, (2) based on the results of the tests, Ha was accepted, consequently, Ho was rejected which results greater than ttable (2.745 >2.02), (3) Direct method by using Question Ball Media had a significant influence on the students' speaking skills. The factors that affected the student's proficiency were (1) the suitability of the teaching method with the learned materials, (2) the use of media in the teaching and learning process, (3) the expertise of teachers in selecting the teaching method, (4) teachers' activeness in innovating the method and media, (5) the appropriateness of teaching materials with the students level, and(6) the teacher preparation to carry out the teaching and learning process.
