Abstract

Abstract. The sample in this study were 404 students, consisting of 116 boys (28.7%) and 288 girls (71.3%). The students involved in this study were aged between 15 and 18 years (M = 16.6; SD = 0.741), and the majority were from the Bugis ethnic group (76.5%). The selection of the sample in this study is related to the research objective, which is to focus on adolescents (high school students), so that the age range taken represents adolescence, using a multistage cluster random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Big-Five Inventory (BFI) which has been adapted by Ramdhani (2012). This scale consists of 44 statement items which are divided into five personality traits, namely extraversion (8 items), agreeableness (9 items), conscientiousness (9 items), neuroticism (8 items), and openness (10 items). Data analysis used in this research is descriptive and inferential analysis (Anova and crosstabulation). The results of this study indicate that there are 119 (29.5%) students showing a tendency of neuroticism, there are 64 (15.8%) students showing an openness tendency, there are 70 (17.3%) students showing a tendency to agreeableness, there are 69 (17.1%) %) students showed a tendency of extraversion, and there were 82 (20.3%) students showing a tendency of conscientiousness.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perilaku kekerasan yang sangat marak disekolah-sekolah menjadikan para guru dan kepala sekolah untuk mengevaluasi akan keberadaan sekolah dalam memberikan pesan moral dan juga proses pembelajaran yang optimal. Kekerasan terjadi disebabkan adanya kebutuhan psikologis tidak terpenuhi dengan optimal, sehingga siswa mencari pelampiasan dengan melakukan tindakan-tindakan kekerasan. Kegiatan pengabdian dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan tema “Pelatihan School Well Being dalam Menurunkan Perilaku Kekerasan Siswa di Sekolah” pada bulan Juni 2023 diikuti sebanyak 48 peserta yang berasal dari berbagai sekolah di bawah Yayasan Muhammadiyah di wilayah Sulawesi Selatan khususnya makassar. Cara mengukut tingkat ketercapaian keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini berupa pemberian evaluasi program menggunakan instrument berupa angket yang disebarkan melalui google form. Angket evaluasi yang berisi pertanyaan tertutup dan terbuka. Data diolah menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil temuan yang diperileh menunjukkan pelatihan School well being menarik bagi guru dan isi materi pelatihan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta, serta menjadikan peserta lebih memahami konsep school well being dan bagaimana penerapannya di sekolah.  Kata Kunci: School well being, Siswa sekolah, Perilaku kekerasan

Abstract

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas pelatihan karir dalam meningkatkan kematangan karir siswa SMA. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan one-group pretest-posttest design dengan sampel sebanyak 16 siswa SMA kelas XI yang memiliki tingkat kematangan karir rendah. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala dan tes kematangan karir yang disusun berdasarkan konsep kematangan karir dari Crites (1974) dan Hidayat (2014). Analisis data menggunakan uji non-parametrik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara skor kematangan karir sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, baik pada skala (sig = 0,025, p < 0,05) maupun tes kematangan karir (sig = 0,039, p < 0,05). Rata-rata skor skala kematangan karir meningkat dari 59,14 pada pretest menjadi 64 pada posttest, dan bertahan di angka 61,78 pada follow-up. Hasil tes kematangan karir menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata dari 15,79 pada pretest menjadi 17,71 pada posttest dan follow-up. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan karir efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa untuk memahami diri sendiri, membuat keputusan karir, dan merencanakan langkah konkret menuju tujuan karir. Kata kunci: Pelatihan karir, kematangan karir, siswa SMA

Abstract

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara penerapan Spiritual Teaching dengan School Well Being di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang terdiri dari dua bagian, yaitu penerapan Spiritual Teaching dan tingkat School Well Being. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi baik dalam penerapan Spiritual Teaching (79,34%) maupun tingkat School Well Being (66,08%). Uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedua variabel (r = 0,148; p < 0,05), meskipun demikian kekuatan hubungan dua variabel tergolong lemah. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam pendidikan untuk mendukung kesejahteraan siswa secara holistik, mencakup aspek akademik, emosional, dan sosial. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi bagi praktik pendidikan dengan mendorong sekolah untuk meningkatkan penerapan Spiritual Teaching melalui program berbasis pengembangan karakter dan nilai-nilai spiritual. Kata kunci: School well being, Spiritual Teaching

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh antara Grit terhadap Prokrastinasi Akademik pada Mahasiswa Baru di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Negeri Makassar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 195 mahasiswa baru Psikologi Universitas Negeri Makassar. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling dengan uji hipotesis regresi linier sederhana. Data di kumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala Academic Procrastination Scale (APS) dan Short Grit Scale (SGS). Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi r = -0,58 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar p=0,001 (p0,05) yang berarti bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif antara kedua variabel dengan kategori sedang, yang artinya semakin tinggi grit pada mahasiswa baru maka semakin rendah prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa baru, begitupun sebaliknya. Sedangkan, nilai R square sebesar 0,33 yang berarti terdapat 33% kontribusi grit terhadap prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa baru Fakultas Psikologi di Universitas Negeri Makassar. Implikasi penelitian diharapkan dapat diperluas dengan mengkaji prokrastinasi dengan melibatkan model mediasi dalam penelitian dan merancang suatu intervensi untuk meningkatkan grit dalam mengurangi prokrastinasi akademik di kalangan mahasiswa sebagai bentuk preventif ketika memasuki lingkungan kerja.

Abstract

Situations and conditions of different family statuses, such as families with divorced status, make students who have this experience feel different from other students, providing challenges for each student who has this experience. This condition triggers obstacles and pressures during the learning process at school, so an ability that can be built into facing these problematic experiences is needed; this ability is resilience. This research aims to see and determine the relationship between resilience and learning motivation in adolescents whose parents are divorced. The subjects in this study consisted of 162 students from divorced parents at SMA Kartika XX-1 Makassar. The sampling technique used in this research was saturated samples. This research was measured using a modified learning motivation and resilience scale. The analysis used in this research is product-moment correlation using SPSS 26.0 software. The results of this study show that in adolescents whose parents are divorced, there is a relationship between resilience and learning motivation with a significance value of 0.000 (sig < α). The person correlation value is 0.994, which means that the higher the resilience, the higher the motivation to learn in teenagers whose parents are divorced. The implications of this research can provide an overview of resilience and learning motivation in adolescents whose parents are divorced

Abstract

Academic flow is an optimal state in which individuals are focused and motivated and enjoy the learning process. One of the benefits of academic flow is that it increases student engagement in academic activities. This study explores the correlation between academic flow and student engagement among Islamic Economics majors at UIN Alauddin Makassar. A quantitative correlation research approach was used, involving 220 students as respondents. Data were obtained using measurement scales for student engagement and academic flow. Spearman's rho correlation analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between academic flow and student engagement (r = 0.560, p = 0.000). This indicates that higher academic flow scores are associated with higher student engagement scores. These findings have implications for research related to academic flow and student engagement and can inform the design of learning strategies that encourage optimal student engagement in higher education.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a token economy intervention in improving attention and task completion in early childhood with attention problems. The study employed a single-subject design with an ABA design on a 6–year–old female kindergarten student (AFP) who exhibited inattentive behavior and difficulty completing assigned tasks. Assessment methods included psychological tests (CPM, Stanford-Binet, VMI), behavioral observations, and interviews with teachers and parents. The token economy intervention was implemented for 4 weeks with princess theme stickers as tokens and backup reinforcers. Results showed significant improvement in task completion from an average of 1.25 tasks (out of 3) during baseline to 2.7 tasks during the intervention phase, with reduced frequency of asking for help from 4 -7 times to 0 – 1 times per day. Follow up data indicated maintenance of behavioral improvements. This study demonstates the effectivess of token economy as a behavioral intervention for improving attention and academic performance in early childhood setting Keywords: token economy, attention, early childhood, behavioral intervention, kindergarten.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing school readiness among children aged 5-6 years in Makassar City. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach, involving 81 children selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was the Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test (NST), which measures ten domains of school readiness, including cognitive, motor, social, language, and emotional aspects. The results showed that the majority of children (92.5%) were categorized as "ready" to enter primary school, with an average score of 52.95. Visual-perceptual ability and concentration were the strongest domains, while emotional and expressive language abilities were the lowest. No significant differences were found in school readiness between boys and girls. Correlation analysis indicated significant positive relationships among the domains of school readiness, particularly between concentration and memory. These findings confirm that school readiness is a multidimensional construct with interrelated aspects. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for developing more effective interventions and educational policies to enhance school readiness among young children in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk pencegahan dan langkah awal sekolah untuk menghidupkan lingkungan yang positif dan sehat bagi para siswa sehingga siswa bisa lebih nyaman dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Selain itu pelatihan ini di ikuti sebanyak 32 peserta yang terdiri dari berbagai sekolah. Adapun metode yang digunakan metode pendekatan ceramah partisipatif, dialog/tanya jawab, dan tugas individu. Pendekatan ceramah partisipatif maksudnya peserta pelatihan dapat ikut serta selama kegiatan dari awal hingga akhir dengan terlibat penuh mendengar presentasi, aktif bertanya dan berpartisipasi dalam mengerjakan tugas individu. Diadakan juga sharing life untuk berbagi pengalaman satu sama lain. Sebelum penyampaian materi peserta diarahkan untuk mengisi pre test terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman awal siswa terhadap materi. Materi disampaikan secara dialogis, sehingga terjadi interaksi antara peserta dengan fasilitator pelatihan. Setelah pemaparan materi diikuti dengan tanya jawab antara fasilitator dengan peserta. Pada tahap selanjutnya fasilitator mengajak peserta untuk mengisi post test untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh Berdasarkan hasil pre test dan post test yang telah dilakukan dapat kita simpulkan bahwa pelatihan school well being untuk mencegah kekerasan di sekolah sangat efektif karena hasil pre test dan post test mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.
