Abstract

Abstract

They are strengthening training and mentoring literacy and numeracy in Musi Banyuasin Regency through training and mentoring for Principals and Vice Curriculum in Junior High Schools (SMP). Based on the results of the National Assessment and the Program for International Students Assessment (PISA) 2022, post-pandemic learning recovery is essential in Indonesia, especially in improving student literacy and numeracy. This activity aims to strengthen participants' understanding and competence in designing and implementing learning that integrates literacy and numeracy by the Merdeka Curriculum. The methods used in this activity include counselling, intensive training, and assistance in designing learning tools, such as Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), learning media, and assessments. The activity also includes evaluation through pretests and posttests to measure changes in participant understanding. The results show significant improvement in literacy and numeracy understanding, with the average posttest score of participants increasing from 50 to 70. The evaluation results showed high satisfaction from participants with the material provided and its relevance to needs in the field. This activity strengthened collaboration between education managers and learning communities and positively impacted the recovery of education quality in Musi Banyuasin Regency post-pandemic. Hopefully, this activity can be sustainable in improving literacy and numeracy at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This paper presents research on the development of learning media in the form of cards, aiming to create a set of cards learning media that can be tested for validity and practicality in learning. This research is a developmental study (Research and Development) utilising the Robert G. March model, specifically the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) framework, employing data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. Based on the research results, the quartet card learning media is declared valid and tested to be efficient by the three validators, with the results of 82% media expert validation, 86% material expert validation, and 82% language expert validation, with a very valid category. The practicality trial indicates the one-to-one trial with 84.5% with a very feasible category, the small group trial with 86.3% with a very feasible category, and the last practicality trial refers to the real class with an average of 85% with a very feasible category. Therefore, the quartet card media is very feasible to use.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased workloads and psychologically affected the nurses due to a long time of exposure to the virus, and causes a decrease in energy, leading to stress and fatigue. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with fatigue and stress experienced by nurses in the COVID-19 isolation room in Indonesia.  This study involved 50 nurses who worked in the hospital's COVID-19 isolation room. The instrument used consists of three parts, namely the demographic data, a Fatigue Scale-14 questionnaire, and a Perceived Stress Scale-10. The results of the validity and reliability tests carried out on both instruments were declared valid and reliable. The data were collected by providing questionnaire link in form of a google form link through WhatsApp to each research sample. Subsequently, the collected data were analyzed using cross-tabulation analysis and chi-square test.  Results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 31-40 years and most were female (35%). A total of 64% experienced moderate fatigue and 82% of nurses were in the moderate stress category. Based on the fatigue data tabulation analysis, there is no relationship between demographic data variables and fatigue. However, there is a relationship between work duration and stress variables as well as fatigue and stress experienced by nurses.  These results showed that the stress and fatigue experienced by COVID-19 nurses are related to the nurses’s certain characteristics that have the potential to worsen mental health conditions.  It Is recommended to explore more related to fatique factors in the future with specific nursing interventions.

Abstract

On December 3, 2023, at 2:54 PM WIB, an explosive eruption occurred with an eruption column height of approximately 3,000 meters above the summit (5,891 meters above sea level) and recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 30 mm and a duration of 4 minutes 41 seconds. The eruption column was observed to be gray with thick intensity leaning towards the east. The eruption was also accompanied by pyroclastic flows to the north with a sliding distance of 3 km from the summit. A number of commodity fields such as rice, sugar cane, and other crops were recorded to be covered in volcanic ash. "A total of 2,141 hectares of agricultural land was covered by volcanic ash from Mount Marapi. The affected crops were rice, sugar cane, and horticultural crops. Of the approximately 2,000 hectares, approximately 1,100 hectares were rice, approximately 700 hectares were sugar cane, and approximately 340 hectares were horticultural crops. Horticultural crops were the most severely affected. Based on observations and research, the most suitable crops for post-eruption Mount Marapi are annual agroforestry crops. Abstract

Stunting remains a significant national challenge in Indonesia, with a prevalence rate of 21.5% in 2023, where high food costs and the mismanagement of household assets such as underutilized small yards contribute to the vulnerability of toddler nutrition in rural areas like Adin Tengah Village. This community service program aimed to integrate economic management principles with public health interventions to foster household food self-sufficiency and mitigate stunting risks through the implementation of the "Eco-Nutri" model. The program was conducted over six months using a systematic four-stage approach consisting of social mapping, integrated education on financial literacy and nutrition, field implementation of vertical farming systems, and sustainability monitoring. Results indicated that the Eco-Nutri model successfully transformed 85% of previously idle land into productive gardens and led to a 25-30% reduction in daily household vegetable expenditures, allowing families to reallocate their budget toward high-quality animal proteins. Furthermore, nutritional literacy among participants increased by 65%, demonstrating that the integration of economic resource management and ecological nutrition is a strategic and effective approach to enhancing household resilience. In conclusion, the program established a sustainable model for long-term stunting prevention by empowering the community to optimize limited resources for better health and economic outcomes
