Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze how teachers foster students' curiosity and engagement in physics learning by identifying effective pedagogical patterns that simultaneously support active participation and enhance students’ intrinsic motivation. Methodology: This study employed a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were collected from Taylor & Francis, Springer, and MDPI databases. Purposive sampling selected 29 articles (1984–2025). Data were analyzed using thematic analysis with document extraction sheets. Main Findings: Teachers act as facilitators, motivators, and learning designers in fostering curiosity and engagement. Effective strategies include inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, contextual approaches, and open-ended exploration. These strategies enhance intrinsic motivation and support cognitive, emotional, and social engagement, while promoting deeper conceptual understanding, scientific character development, and sustained curiosity through inquiry, experimentation, and reflective dialogue. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study integrates student curiosity and engagement into a unified analytical framework in physics education, offering a perspective that has rarely been addressed in prior research. This PRISMA-based SLR provides a systematic synthesis of evidence and advances understanding of how adaptive and collaborative teaching practices foster scientific curiosity in contemporary learning contexts.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this research activity is to find out about the description of the customary syara', syara' based on Kitabullah, find out about the description of skills-based innovation, and find out the results of the value analysis of the customary syara', syara' based on Kitabullah for skills-based innovation at Al-Hidayah Methodology: The type of research used is quantitative research. This study uses data in the form of numbers as a tool to analyze the information to be known. The population used is teachers at the Al-Hidayah Foundation with a sample of 21 teachers. The instruments used are questionnaires and interviews, and the data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical testing. Main Findings: The results of the study obtained in the teacher response questionnaire showed that teachers who chose strongly agree had a percentage of 23.8%, in the agree category 66.6%, in the neutral category 9.5%, and 0% in the disagree and strongly disagree categories. The results of the study in the teacher perception questionnaire showed that the percentage was 14.2% in the strongly agree category, in the agree category 61.9%, then the neutral category 23.8%, then 0% in the disagree and strongly disagree categories. Novelty/Originality of this study: Customary values based on Islamic law and the book of Allah can be applied in learning, such as in the curriculum and non-academic activities, namely cultural extracurricular activities such as dance and tradiitional music. The use of these customary values is not only beneficial for students, but also for schools that implement them because they can advance the school environment.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is to explore the strategies used by physics teachers in building students' discipline within character education. This study offers theoretical insights into discipline formation and practical guidance for teachers to implement character-based strategies in physics classrooms. Methodology: This study used a qualitative naturalistic approach with purposive sampling. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Tools used include observation sheets, interview guides, and field notes. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Validity was ensured through triangulation techniques and member checking for data verification. Main Findings: The findings show that students' discipline in physics learning was very good. Teachers consistently apply structured strategies, methods, and models that promote punctuality, rule adherence, timely task submission, and practical work discipline. Early communication, consistent rule enforcement, and value reinforcement shaped responsible behavior. Most students felt helped by systematic learning patterns. Teacher strategies were closely linked to students' disciplinary character formation in physics class. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers originality by integrating a naturalistic approach to explore teacher strategies in building student discipline through four instructional perspectives: approach, method, model, and strategy. It advances existing knowledge by highlighting value internalization in physics learning, shifting the focus from formal rule enforcement to reflective classroom practices that naturally foster character-based discipline.

Abstract

Research objectives: The objectives of this study are to introduce and improve teachers' ability in designing student argumentation assessment instruments in measuring students' level of understanding in learning. Ultimately, it will help students develop good and correct argumentation skills during the learning process. Methodology: The method used in this study is a quantitative method. In using this method, the researcher uses a research design in the form of a questionnaire. By combining this method and design, the research results will be obtained in the form of numbers. The subjects in this study were teachers at Mtss Al-Hidayah. Kebon IX. The results of this study will later become a reference for how this research is conducted and what conclusions can be obtained from the implementation of this research. Main Findings: In the research related to the implementation and application of argumentation instruments, it was found that more than 50% of teachers agreed to implement this argumentation ability instrument. It is seen that teachers strongly agree with the existence of argumentation ability instruments. Teachers are interested and also want to try the argumentation skills instrument. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study is rarely conducted and this study is also quite interesting. From the discussion session, there are still many teachers who do not know about the existence of this argumentation ability instrument. Teachers are interested in implementing this argumentation ability instrument not only in science learning, but also in other subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of Islamic religious education learning management, supporting factors, obstacles and solutions in the implementation of Islamic religious education learning management at TKIT An Najah Jatinom Klaten during the Covid 19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative research approach. The research subjects were the head of the kindergarten, while the informants were the teachers. Data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study obtained several things regarding; 1) The management of Islamic religious education learning at TKIT An Najah Jatinom Klaten during the pandemic has been able to run well; 2) The moral factor in the form of the spirit of carrying out the mandate of the teachers in the task of being a supporting factor in the management of Islamic religious education learning at TKIT An Najah Jatinom Klaten during the pandemic period; 3) The inhibiting factors are difficult internet signals, limitations of parents in the use of technology devices, busy work of parents, children do not like being guided by their parents, or prefer to be guided by teachers; 4) The solution is that the parents are given assistance to buy credit, to make home visits more efficient, groups are made, private tutoring is held by the teacher, or teachers also make Islamic education lessons with video calls. In conclusion, the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning management has been able to run well, with the support and trust of the teachers in carrying out their duties, while the inhibiting factor for the implementation of learning is the difficulty of internet signals.
