Abstract

Qur'an education in remote areas faces challenges in the form of ancient and less effective learning methods in Quran education in remote areas faces challenges in the form of learning methods that are old-fashioned and less effective in improving the reading ability and fluency of students, especially in traditional communities. Therefore, innovation in teaching methods is needed that are in accordance with the characteristics and needs of students in the area. This study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Classroom Action Research (CAR) approaches conducted at Madrasah Raudlatul Jannah, Dusun Masegit Bajuran Cerme Bondowoso. The research subjects consisted of 8 students who were selected purposively. The results showed a significant increase in the students' ability to read the Quran, with this finding indicating that the application of the Qur'ani Sidogiri method is effective in improving the ability to read the Quran as well as being a strategy for community empowerment based on Islamic education in remote areas. An innovative, participatory, and adaptive approach can be widely applied to improve the quality of religious education and empower religious teachers in various regions that have similar characteristics.

Abstract

The development of skipjack chili sauce products has proven to be an innovative solution for improving the economy of coastal communities, particularly in Gebangan Village. This study employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, engaging the community in the entire process of production, marketing, and evaluation. The findings indicate that the implementation of digital marketing strategies via WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok increased sales by 40% within the first two months. Additionally, the average monthly income of participants increased by IDR 750,000 - IDR 1,200,000, and 15 housewives, who previously had no steady income, are now actively involved in the production and marketing of skipjack chili sauce. In terms of product quality, using glass bottles for packaging extended the product's shelf life to 45 days under cold storage conditions. However, challenges remain in digital literacy, limited access to capital, and fluctuations in raw material prices. Thus, further training in business management and digital marketing strategies is necessary to ensure the sustainability of this local product-based business. This research contributes to an economic empowerment model based on fishery resources, which can be adapted to other coastal communities.

Abstract

This research explores Community Service (PKM) activities carried out by the Nurul Huda Islamic College in Situbondo under the leadership of Azisi, S.Sy., M.Pd. The purpose of PKM is to enrich knowledge and technology, support general welfare, and advance the education sector in accordance with Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. The focus of the research is on PKM activities which focus on strengthening understanding the virtues of providing education to children through the study of the book Tanqihul Qaul in Juglangan Village. Research method by involving community participation through socialization and counseling. And documentation and evaluation of the level of community understanding and practice of knowledge obtained from book studies. This religious strengthening activity has a positive impact as evidenced by the evaluation results which show that the level of understanding of the people of Juglangan Village towards book study reaches 80%, while 20% requires further understanding. In terms of practicing knowledge, 75% of people can practice knowledge well, and 25% require further evaluation.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has transformed educational environments, making Learning Management Systems (LMS) a pivotal tool for facilitating personalised learning experiences. This research explores LMS’s effectiveness in enhancing student engagement and academic performance while identifying essential skills educators need to harness these technologies effectively. A systematic literature review was conducted, analysing existing studies on LMS, personalised learning, and educator competencies. The findings reveal that LMS significantly improve customised learning through adaptive learning pathways, gamification and increased accessibility. Educators with digital literacy, data-driven decision-making and collaborative learning strategies are better positioned to create engaging learning environments and improve student outcomes. However, technological barriers and the need for ongoing professional development persist. The study concludes that while LMS hold great promise, addressing these challenges is crucial for maximising their potential. This research contributes to the field by providing a comprehensive understanding of how LMS can be effectively utilised in educational settings, highlighting the importance of equipping educators with the necessary skills. The insights gained from this study can inform academic institutions and policymakers in designing and implementing training programs, ensuring that educators and learners can thrive in increasingly digital learning environments. Ultimately, this research emphasises the vital role of LMS in shaping the future of education and the need for continuous adaptation and improvement in teaching practices.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the consultation method is applied and problems in teaching heritage books in senior classes at the Al-Bidayah Islamic Institute, Jember. This research method is field research, case study. The data sources are the director of the institution, students and teachers of the Al-Bidaya Jember Islamic Institute. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and documentary methods. To ensure the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation techniques. The results of this research are 1) Applying the deliberation method in teaching traditional books using the book Fath al-Mu'in. 2) There are four problems in teaching traditional books using the consultation method. The semester arrangement is lacking with supervision by teachers and institutional leaders, the material presented is difficult according to some students, the activity time starts at half past nine, and the educational method lacks strong sound reinforcement.

Abstract

This study examines the development of inclusive economy in the mualaf community through the application of Islamic values and local wisdom, with a case study of the Alyumna Candi Kuning Foundation in Bali. Previous studies have less explored the mualaf community in the context of economic development, especially in non-Muslim areas such as Candi Kuning Bedugul, thus this study fills this gap. This research offers a new approach by combining Islamic values, such as the development of inclusive economic empowerment, the contribution of zakat and infaq implementation concepts, and Balinese local wisdom such as gotong royong and tri hita karana to strengthen the economy of the mualaf community. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to understand the application of Islamic values and local wisdom in economic mentoring activities for the mualaf community. The research shows that the integration of religious values and local wisdom can strengthen the community economy, create social solidarity, and support inclusive economic development. The religion and local culture-based approach has proven effective in addressing the economic challenges of the Alyumna Foundation's mualaf community. Research recommendations include the development of policies that support inclusive economic models based on religious and local cultural values. Governments and organizations can adopt this approach to assist other communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the internalization process of social piety values and tolerance among non-Muslim students at SDN 5 Cerme Bondowoso. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that social piety values are internalized through programs such as social service and interfaith interactions, which enhance tolerance, empathy, and student care. Moreover, positive interactions between Muslim and non-Muslim students, particularly during joint celebrations, strengthen mutual respect. The role of teachers is significant in creating an inclusive atmosphere and supporting discussions on diversity differences. Overall, this research finds that a supportive school environment can contribute to the formation of a harmonious and inclusive society. The results provide recommendations for other schools in Indonesia to implement similar programs to support values of tolerance and social piety.
