Abstract

LatarBelakang :Hand sanitizer adalah gel dengan berbagai kandungan yang cepat membunuh mikroorganisme yang ada dikulit tangan banyak digunakan karna alas an kepraktisan pada saat darurat tidak ada air. Hand sanitizer mudah dibawa dan bisa cepat digunakan tanpa perlu menggunakan air. Penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi 30% ekstrak cocor bebek dan 70% lidah buaya dalam formula hand sanitizer. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sifat fisik gel hand sanitizer kombinasi ekstrak daun cocor bebek dan lidah buaya yaitu meliputi uji organoleptis, Homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, akseptabilitas dan untuk mengetahui formula terbaik dari Variasi konsentrasi HPMC yaitu 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% dan 12,5%. Metode :Desain penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan the one-shot case study design yaitu pengukuran pertama dilakukan intervensi selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran kedua dilakukan observasi, dalam rancangan ini tidak digunakan pembanding Hasil: Hasil Penelitian pada sediaan gel antiseptic tangan kombinasi ekstrak daun cocor bebek dan lidah buaya dapat disimpulkan bahwa formulasi yang paling optimal danmemenuhipersyaratansifatfisikdari gelling agent HPMC adalahpada formula II dengankonsentrasi 5%. Kesimpulan :Kesimpulan ada pengaruh perbedaan konsentrasi HPMC terhadap sifat fisik gel antiseptic tangan kombinasi ekstrak daun cocor bebek (Kalanchoe pinnata) dan ekstrak daun lidah buaya (Aloe vera) . Abstract

Penggunaan polimer pada sediaan sabun kertas sangat mempengaruhi bentuk sediaan dikarenakan sifat polimer memiliki volume rasio yang kecil sehingga sediaan yang dihasilkan menjadi elastis dan ringan. Polimer yang akan digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu polimer HPMC (Hydroxylpropyl methyl cellulose) dan PVA (Polivinil alcohol) dikarenakan polimer HPMC bersifat netral dan stabil dalam berbagai pH serta sediaan yang dihasilkan akan tampak jernih dan dapat membentuk film dengan baik [1] sedangkan polimer PVA dapat memudahkan difusi sediaan karena dapat terikat dengan air sehingga mudah diproses dalam pembuatan sediaan [2] maka hal tersebut menjadi pemicu bagi peneliti untuk melakukan uji pengaruh penggunaan polimer HPMC dan PVA terhadap kualitas sediaan sabun kertas dengan menggunakan zat aktif ekstrak metanol daun sungkai (Peronema canescens Jack) yang digunakan sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh polimer HPMC dan PVA pada sediaan sabun kertas ekstrak metanol daun sungkai dan mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri sediaan sabun kertas ekstrak metanol daun sungkai menggunakan polimer yang berbeda. Formula sediaan diperoleh dari ekstraksi metanol daun sungkai dalam sediaan sabun kertas pencuci tangan antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Metode pengujian antibakteri menggunakan difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sediaan yang baik yaitu pada sediaan F2B dengan formula sebagai berikut : Ekstrak daun sungkai (1%), HPMC (0,75%), Gliserin (1,25%), NaOH 50% (2,5%), Sodium lauryl sulfate (1,25%), Disodium EDTA (0.05%), Aquadestilata (ad 25) setiap masing-masing evaluasi seperti oganoleptis dengan hasil bentuk tipis elastis berbau khas sungkai dan berwarna hijau pekat, uji pH dengan hasil yang didapatkan yaitu 7,1, uji kestabilan busa dengan hasil yang didapatkan yaitu 94,2%, uji kadar asam lemak dan alkali bebas dengan hasil yang didapatkan yaitu 0,06%, dan uji kadar air mendapatkan hasil 15%. semua uji yang dilakukan telah memenuhi persyaratan uji menurut SNI. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri sabun kertas ekstrak metanol daun sungkai dengan konsentrasi 1% serta konsentrasi polimer HPMC 0,75% dapat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan kategori zona hambat yang sedang yaitu persentase sebesar 5-10 mm.

Abstract

Sungkai plants are beneficial immunomodulators because of the presence of flavanoid compounds that increase oxygen radicals and antibody production. Pharmaceutical preparations function as immunomodulators, typically in the form of syrups, tablets, capsules, suspensions, and emulsions. Until now, there has been no nanoparticle syrup on the market, even though nanoparticle preparations have the advantage of modifying particle size, controlling the release of active ingredients to reach the active side, protecting drugs from degradation, reducing toxicity, and minimizing side effects. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the syrup of nanoparticles in the ethanol extract of Sungkai leaves acts as an immunomodulator and the stability of the preparation during storage. The methods used were experimental in the laboratory with extraction using the maceration method. The extract obtained was formulated into a nanoparticle solution using the ionic gelation method, then formulated into FO syrup (Base syrup) and F1 syrup (Nanoparticles of ethanol extract of sungkai leaves) and then carried out transmittance tests, particle size analyzer tests, immunomodulatory tests and stability tests. The yield of the extract was 17.5%. The raw material examination of all the materials was in accordance with the literature. The particle size of the nanoparticle solution was 40 nm, that of F0 syrup was 670 nm, and that of F1 syrup was 964 nm. All syrup preparations fell into the nanoparticle size category of 10–1,000 nm. Abstract

The Moringa plant (moringa olifera lam), is famous because all parts of the Moringa plant have extraordinary benefits and are easy to cultivate and do not require intensive care, Moringa plants can be consumed directly or processed into various traditional medicines and products for skin care, namely Moringa leaf herbal masks. Muaro Pijoan Village is a village located on the border and its residents have a fairly large yard, some residents already plant Moringa plants, but they do not know about the benefits and how to process Moringa plants into high-value products. This service activity aims to educate 50 Family Welfare Program (FWP) women in Muaro Pijoan village, about cultivating Moringa plants and improving the skills of mothers to make herbal masks from Moringa leaves, which will be carried out in July-September 2021 with activity methods including counseling, direct practice in cultivating Moringa plants for making Moringa leaf herbal masks and packaging them into attractive products with high economic value, as well as how to market them. The results of the service activities showed an increase in the knowledge of mothers about the cultivation and utilization of Moringa plants by 38% based on the results of the pre-post test, as well as the formation of 5 groups of FWP women to cultivate Moringa plants and an increase in the skills of FWP mothers in Muaro Pijoan village by 64.0% on how to make Moringa leaf spice mask herbal products. This activity is expected to motivate mothers to cultivate Moringa plants and process them into various products for health and beauty, which have high economic value as a means of entrepreneurship, as well as the need for assistance from village officials, health workers and related agencies so that Moringa plant cultivation and manufacture This product is sustainable.

Abstract

The emergence of the corona virus has shocked the whole world, including Indonesia. This virus has claimed many victims every day. Many aspects of people's lives are affected, especially the local economy, especially the residents of Muara Jambi Village, Maro Sebo District, Muaro Jambi Regency. Corona virus can be prevented, including by washing hands with soap (Handwash) or by spraying Handsanitizer. This handwash and hand sanitizer can be made using natural ingredients including pineapple peel extract and sungkai leaf extract. The purpose of this service is to increase public knowledge regarding the use of natural materials for the manufacture of hand sanitizers and handwashes, as well as to make preparations directly. From this service activity, it is known that there is an increase in community knowledge, reaching 98.05%. The community is also able to make hand sanitizer and handwash preparations from natural ingredients. The conclusion is the increasing public knowledge of some information related to the use of natural materials for the manufacture of hand sanitizer and handwash and the community can utilize and process natural materials that have potential as an alternative in making hand sanitizer and handwash

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Lidah Buaya adalah salah satu tanaman obat yang dapat digunakan sebagai terapi penyakit diabetes. Lidah Buaya mengandung eugenol, anti oksidan dan dapat meningkatkan kinerja insulin dalam darah serta membantu pengidap diabetes mengendalikan kadar glukosa dalam darah. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat penyebab diabetes, pencegahan dan pemanfaatan lidah buaya sebagai obat tradisional untuk diabetesMetode: edukasi secara langsung kepada masyarakat setempat yang diwakili oleh kelompok PKK Desa Penyengat Olak Kemang sejumlah 50 orang, kemudian dilakukan survei peningkatan pemahaman sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi.Hasil: nilai rata-rata pemahaman masyarakat sebesar 33,5% setelah diberikan edukasi meningkat menjadi 75%.Kesimpulan: Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai penyakit diabetes dan pemanfaatan lidah buaya sebagai obat tradisional untuk diabetes di Desa Penyengat Olak Kemang, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. ABSTRACTIntroduction: Aloe Vera is one of the medicinal plants that can be used as a therapy for diabetes. Aloe Vera contains eugenol, an anti-oxidant and can improve the performance of insulin in the blood and help people with diabetes control blood glucose levels. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge about the causes of diabetes, prevention and use of aloe vera as a traditional medicine for diabetesMethods: education was given directly to the local community represented by the PKK group in Penyengat Olak Kemang Village with a total of 50 people, then a survey to increase understanding was carried out before and after being given education.Results: the average value of public understanding of 33.5% after being given education increased to 75%Conclusion: There was an increase in public understanding about diabetes and the use of aloe vera as a traditional medicine for diabetes in Penyengat Olak Kemang Village, Muaro Jambi Regency.

Abstract

Sa'adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School is one of the oldest Islamic boarding schools in Jambi City, located on the banks of the Batanghari River. One of the facilities provided by Islamic boarding schools is dormitories. Based on the survey conducted, problems were found, especially in female student dormitories. The dormitories are not kept clean, rubbish is strewn about, and female students use the Batanghari river water directly for bathing, defecating and washing. This condition causes health problems such as scabies, diarrhea, and others. Scabies is a major health problem at the Sa'adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School, Jambi Province. This is disturbing for students and dormitory supervisors, because it is difficult to apply PHBS to teenage students, at this age someone tends to be unstable and cannot control clean and healthy living habits, several supporting factors such as the condition of the Islamic boarding school, the students' busy routine and being far from their parents. Adolescence is the right age to form good habits, therefore MTs students are targets for socialization. Reminders are a solution for teenagers to create a scabies-free Islamic boarding school environment. The method involves conducting outreach, collecting data on students affected by scabies, treating infected students and implementing PHBS using Reminder stickers. The results of the outreach were an increase in knowledge, understanding and perspective of students at the Sa'adatuddaren Islamic boarding school in Jambi Province regarding scurvy and a healthy environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

Facial masks are cosmetic products for topical use on facial skin. Using organic components from nature can prevent irritation and skin pigment damage due to the side effects of harmful chemicals in cosmetic products in the global market. This study aims to develop a combination organic mask formulation from Moringa leaves and turmeric and test its effectiveness. This experimental study, which had a one-shot case study design, was conducted at the Pharmaceutical Technology Laboratory and Phytochemical Laboratory, Pharmacy Department, Health Polytechnic, Ministry of Health, Jambi. The formulation consisted of Moringa leaf powder and turmeric with formulas F1 (40%, 30%), F2 (50%, 25%) and F3 (60%, 20%). Further data analysis used the paired t-test. The evaluation consists of phytochemical screening, characteristic tests of the organic mask (organoleptic, pH, drying time, and homogeneity), stability tests (organoleptic, fungal growth), effectiveness tests of mask preparations (skin moisture), and antioxidant activity tests. Based on the results, formula 3 showed the best results as an organic mask preparation with moisture test results of 58.87 ± 6.24 (mean ± SD), p <0.001. The antioxidant activity results showed IC50 values of each formula were F1 (73.43 µg/ml), F2 (56.33 µg/ml), and F3 (182.11 µg/ml). This study recommends that Moringa leaves and turmeric have potential and effectiveness as antioxidant compounds that can be developed as organic mask preparations.
