Abstract

The increasing popularity of South Korean culture among Indonesian society has led to a growing interest in gaining a deeper understanding of the country, including a desire to master the Korean language. However, learning the Korean alphabet (hangul) often presents challenges due to its characters being unfamiliar to the Indonesian people. Therefore, engaging and interactive learning media are needed to assist in the learning process. Within this endeavor, a learning website called Learn Hangul was developed, focusing on two main features: learning hangul characters and their arrangement, as well as practicing writing syllables using Korean letters. This website was developed using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) LeNet-5 to facilitate learning, with black box testing results indicating good functionality. Model performance evaluation yielded satisfactory values, with model accuracy at 89.2%, precision at 89.7%, recall at 88.8%, and an F1-score of 89.2%. Direct testing with users also showed a high success rate, with 80% of respondents experiencing an increase in their knowledge of Korean characters (Hangul) after trying to learn them on the Learn Hangul website. Thus, the Learn Hangul website serves as a useful learning tool for those interested in studying the Korean alphabet (hangul).

Abstract

The development of mobile-based applications has gained significant momentum, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated technological disruption, prompting a shift from manual to mobile-based systems. Advances in information technology have encouraged researchers to develop height measuring devices that are portable, efficient, fast and easy to use. It was new challenge in migrating from print and manual based systems to mobile based systems. The aim of this research is to design and develop a prototype for an arduino-based portable tool for anthropometric and nutritional assessment. The method used is the Prototype model method so it requires a systematic and sequential approach step by step. The tools used are ESP32 WROOM Microcontroller, ESP32 Expansion Breakout Board, HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor, HX-711 Load cell Sensor, 20x4 I2C LCD. The developed anthropometric detection tool automatically determines nutritional status by measuring the weight and height of both children and adults. It is two separate tools that must be connected via WiFi Hotspot, the data from the two sensors will be processed via an Android application. In conclusion, this portable tool offers a user-friendly design compared to previously developed tools, enabling more effective and efficient nutritional status assessments.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a transporter robot as a learning tool for elementary and secondary school students to introduce them to robotics. The robot features a differential drive system and a lifting arm akin to a forklift system. The robot is controlled using an ESP32 microcontroller and connected to an Android application through a Firebase cloud database. Utilizing an IoT platform, the training can be conducted online, allowing students to control the robot remotely while it remains at the training location. The transporter robot is designed to provide an interactive and hands-on learning experience in robotics, enabling students to grasp fundamental concepts in robotics, programming, and control systems. The differential drive system offers excellent maneuverability, while the lifting arm allows the robot to perform tasks such as lifting and moving objects, adding functional aspects to the learning process. Test results indicate that the robot performs well under online control, with fast and accurate responses to commands from the Android application. The use of Firebase ensures stable and real-time communication between the robot and the application. This implementation not only enhances the accessibility of robotics training but also enables the development of students' STEM skills in a more flexible and affordable manner. The study concludes that an ESP32-based transporter robot with online control via an Android application and Firebase cloud database can be an effective and innovative learning tool. This tool aims to enhance students’ STEM skills -especially in programming, control systems, and mechanical design- through interactive, real-world applications.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges faced by four food-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bondowoso, Indonesia—namely Ila Snack Bondowoso, Rien’s Kitchen, Tahu Sutrisno, and Kripik Ayu—in developing effective digital marketing content. Limited digital skills and resources hinder their ability to promote their products and reach broader audiences. To address this, the research employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to create high-quality promotional videos tailored to the needs of these MSMEs. These videos, featuring company profiles and product highlights, were crafted using professional-grade tools and enhanced with voiceovers to meet industry standards. The videos adhered to the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) model, ensuring effective audience engagement and action-driven messaging. Expert validation and field testing confirmed their effectiveness, while consumer feedback indicated a positive impact on purchasing decisions. This research highlights the potential of creative digital content to empower MSMEs, enhance product visibility, and strengthen market competitiveness. The findings provide a replicable framework for supporting small enterprises globally, underscoring the critical role of digital innovation in driving inclusive economic growth and cultural preservation.
