Abstract

Kejadian diare pada balita merupakan penyakit yang masih banyak terjadi di indonesia, dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat diharapkan balita menjadi terhindar dari kuman dak bakteri sehingga kejadian diare pada balita dapat dihindari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Hubungan pengetahuan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat ibu balita dengan kejadian penyakit diare di Posyandu Melati 3 Desa Gilang Kecamatan Ngunut Kabupaten Tulungagung. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2021. Jenis penelitian observasional dengan rancangan studi kasus kontrol. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki balita dari bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2021 di Posyandu Melati 3 Desa Gilang Kecamatan Ngunut Kabupaten Tulungagung, dengan insidental sampling didapatkan 32 sampel dan data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square Test. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa responden yang memiliki pengetahuan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat kurang baik yaitu sebanyak 24 responden (75%), sebanyak 22 anak (68,8%) tidak mengalami kejadian penyakit diare. Uji statistik Chi-Square Test pada tabel Fisher Exact Test didapatkan nilai Pvalue (Sig. 2 tailed) sebesar 0,005, karena Pvalue < α (α = 0,05) maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak yang artinya ada hubungan pengetahuan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat ibu balita dengan kejadian penyakit diare di Posyandu Melati 3 Desa Gilang Kecamatan Ngunut Kabupaten Tulungagung. Pengetahuan ibu tentang perilau hidup bersih dan sehat merupakan variabel yang memiliki peranan penting dalam menurunkan kejadian diare pada balita. Dengan menjaga perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat seperti cuci tangan sebelum melakukan sesuatu, menggunakan air bersih, persalinan dibantu oleh tenaga kesehatan, memberi ASI Eksklusif dan lain sebagainya maka balita akan memutus rantai masuknya kuman ketubuh balita sehingga kejadian diare dapat ditanggulangi.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities are individuals with intelligence below average, generally have barriers to social skills. Therapy to improve children's social skills is by playing origami therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of origami play therapy on the level of social skills in children with intellectual disabilities.The study was conducted in February 2023. Experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest approach. The total population is 89 students. The sampling technique through purposive sampling obtained 30 samples, data analysis with the Wilcoxon test. The results of social skills research before therapy most respondents had less social skills as much as 19 (63.3%), while after therapy, social skills increased, namely more than half 13 (43.3%) respondents had good social skills. In the statistical test, the result is a ρ value of 0.000, meaning that there was an effect of origami play therapy on the level of social skills in children with intellectual disabilities at Special Education School C Tulungagung. Origami play therapy carried out in groups will cause social interaction between children and peers so that they can improve children's social skills. It is recommended for educators to implement scheduled play therapy so that children's social skills are better.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that cannot be cured and requires lifelong treatment, therefore assistance or support from the family will help clients in improving diabetes mellitus control management. This research aims to determine the correlation between family empowerment and Self-Management in patients with a history of type II diabetes mellitus in Tulungagung Regency. This research was quantitative research with a cross-sectional survey method. The research instrument used the Family Empowerment Scale (FES) and The Diabetes Self-Management (DSMQ) questionnaire to determine self-management. The sampling method was carried out using a purposive technique, resulting in a sample size of 320 respondents. The independent variable was family empowerment (X) while the dependent variable was Self-Management (Y). Based on the Spearman rho test results, the ρ value = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a relationship between family empowerment and Self-Management in patients with a history of type II diabetes mellitus in Tulungagung Regency. With a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.7, it can be concluded that the strength of the relationship is strong. The direction of the relationship is linear (+), which means that the better the level of family empowerment obtained by DM sufferers, the better the level of Self-Management possessed by the respondent. Based on these results, can be used as consideration for related parties to improve the Self-Management of DM sufferers through providing family empowerment.   Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus; Family-Empowerment; Self-Management

Abstract

The elderly group has very complex health problems, both physiological and psychological. Health problems experienced by the elderly include a gradual decline in physical and psychological function, which can cause stress. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of SHG therapy on stress levels in the elderly in Campurdarat Village. This research was a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test with a control group design. The population in this study were all elderly people in the Campurdarat District Area The independent research variable is SHG therapy and the dependent variable is stress level. Analysis test was carried out using Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results show that SHG therapy affects stress levels in the elderly, it obtained a significance value (p-value) of 0,000<0.05. This is proven by a decrease in stress levels before and after being given SHG therapy in the intervention group. Keywords: Elderly; SHG; Stress.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kegawatdaruratan dapat terjadi kapan saja dan di mana saja, termasuk di lingkungan pesantren, sehingga pendidikan kesehatan, khususnya Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD), sangat penting. Tujuan : Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Kamal Blitar dalam memberikan pertolongan pertama pada situasi darurat. Metode: Partisipatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan santri secara aktif dalam pelatihan teoretis dan praktis, termasuk Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP), pembidaian, dan teknik transportasi pasien. Hasil: pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan santri, dengan rata-rata nilai naik dari 69 menjadi 74 setelah edukasi. Program ini meningkatkan kesiapan santri dalam menghadapi kegawatdaruratan serta memperkuat peran pesantren dalam penanggulangan keadaan darurat. Implikasi dari program ini adalah perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan dan pengembangan kurikulum kesehatan di pesantren, untuk mempersiapkan seluruh komunitas pesantren dalam menangani situasi darurat. Kesimpulan: program edukasi BHD efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan kesadaran santri, serta dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam memperkuat kesiapsiagaan pesantren dalam menghadapi kegawatdaruratan.

Abstract

Diabetic foot ulcers are typical wounds that are serious and common complications in people with diabetes with a long healing time. The cost of treating diabetic foot ulcers is relatively expensive because the price of modern dressings is less affordable and the recovery time is long. Complementary dressing interventions are expected to heal diabetic foot ulcers effectively. This case study aims to analyze the results of the implementation of wound care with complementary dressings on the healing of diabetic foot ulcers. This case study uses a descriptive method with a nursing care process approach. The subjects of the case study were patients with diabetes mellitus with grade 1-2 diabetic ulcers. The subjects of the case study were 2 people, who were obtained randomly. The subjects of the case study had signed an informed consent before data collection. The population used was all patients with diabetic foot ulcers. The number of samples used was 2 female patients. The data collection tool used the Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT) assessment sheet. The results obtained were an improvement in the wound as indicated by an increase in the score on the assessment sheet with an average difference of 3 points. The complementary dressing technique accelerates the healing of diabetic wounds

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) adalah keterampilan penting untuk menyelamatkan korban dalam situasi darurat. Pelatihan BHD, khususnya bagi pelajar yang rentan terhadap kecelakaan lalu lintas, berperan signifikan dalam mengurangi angka kecacatan dan kematian. Pelajar berisiko menjadi korban serta memiliki potensi menjadi penolong. Metode simulasi dan pembelajaran aktif (active learning) dianggap efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas metode simulasi dan pembelajaran aktif (active learning) dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang kegawatdaruratan dan BHD. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pra-experimental dan pendekatan one-group pre-post test, pengambilan sampel dengan teknik total sampling sebanyak 58 santri laki-laki menjadi sampel penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner dan lembar observasi berdasarkan pedoman AHA (2015), dengan analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode simulasi dan pembelajaran aktif secara signifikan meningkatkan pengetahuan (p=0,004) dengan median differences 0,000 dan keterampilan (p=0,000) santri dalam kegawatdaruratan dan BHD dengan median differences 15,000. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa metode simulasi dan pembelajaran aktif tidak hanya efektif dalam mengoptimalkan pembelajaran konseptual, tetapi juga memfasilitasi penerapan praktis pengetahuan dalam situasi darurat nyata, sehingga mempersiapkan santri untuk menghadapi keadaan darurat secara lebih baik.

Abstract

Snake bites are a health problem that is often experienced by people. Improper handling of snake bites can result in death. This is caused by damage to body tissue, swelling, decreased blood pressure, corneal damage, uveal bleeding, and rupture of erythrocytes. The aim of this Community Service is to provide knowledge to people in the gymnastics community about first aid for snake bites in Campurdarat District. Community service activities are carried out through several stages, namely the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. At the planning stage, the target audience is determined. The implementation phase provides a pretest questionnaire before providing education, then continues with providing material for 60 minutes to the gymnastics community and continues with a question and answer session. The Evaluation Stage is providing a posttest questionnaire. The result was that before being given education about snakebite emergency first aid, almost 9 people (23%) had good knowledge, half of those given education were 20 people (50%) who had good knowledge. In the upcoming Community Service activities, it is hoped that first aid simulations for snakebite emergencies will be provided.

Abstract

Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP) merupakan tindakan pertama untuk menolong pasien dengan henti nafas dan henti jantung. Perawat diharapkan bisa melakukan tindakan tersebut untuk dapat menolong pasien atau korban kecelakaan yang mengalami henti nafas dan henti jantung. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa STIKes Hutama Abdi Husada Tulungagung terkait prosedur RJP. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) adalah dengan pendampingan secara luring yang dilatih oleh tenaga professional dan menguasai tentang RJP. Peserta pendampingan adalah perwakilan prodi Sarjana Keperawatan dan D3 Keperawatan semester akhir yaitu sebanyak 42 mahasiswa. Guna melihat nilai bagaimana pengetahuan peserta pengabdian, maka sebelum dan setelah kegiatan pengabdian, peserta diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner tentang prosedur RJP dan Motivasi melaksanakan RJP. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah pendampingan adalah 64,25 dan 87,50 sedangkan nilai rata-rata motivasi melakukan RJP sebelum dan sesudah pendampingan adalah 65 dan 85. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Kesimpulanya adalah terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang prosedur resusitasi jantung paru dari pentingnya 3A, assessment, Call for Help, melakukan RJP dengan benar hingga evaluasi akhir dan terdapat peningkatan motivasi peserta yang sebelumnya enggan melakukan RJP menjadi termotivasi untuk melakukan RJP. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training as an Effort to Increase Knowledge and Motivation of Students as Bystanders in the Community Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is the first action to help patients with respiratory and cardiac arrest. Nurses are expected to be able to take these actions to help patients or accident victims who experience respiratory and cardiac arrest. This service aims to provide knowledge to STIKes Hutama Abdi Husada Tulungagung students regarding CPR procedures. The method of implementing community service activities (PkM) is by offline mentoring trained by professionals and mastering CPR. Mentoring participants are representatives of the Bachelor of Nursing and D3 Nursing study program in the final semester of 42 students. In order to see the value of the knowledge of service participants, before and after service activities, participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire about CPR procedures and motivation to carry out CPR. The results of the assessment show that the average value of participants' knowledge before and after mentoring is 64.25 and 87.50 while the average value of motivation to perform CPR before and after mentoring is 65 and 85. This service activity can run smoothly. The conclusion is that there is an increase in participants' knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures from the importance of 3A, assessment, Call for Help, doing CPR correctly to the final evaluation and there is an increase in the motivation of participants who were previously reluctant to do CPR to become motivated to perform CPR.

Abstract

Ancaman bencana geologis seperti gempa bumi dan tsunami di Indonesia, meskipun jarang terjadi dalam skala besar dibandingkan dengan bencana hidrometeorologis, dapat menyebabkan kerusakan yang serius dan korban jiwa besar. Kesiapsiagaan yang rendah dalam menghadapi risiko bencana merupakan penyebab utama dampak negatif. Wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Tulungagung, terutama terhadap tsunami, memiliki peran sebagai pelindung alam namun juga rentan terhadap bencana. Diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan terkait upaya mitigasi bencana tsunami di wilayah tersebut. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat tentang tanggap darurat menghadapi bencana tsunami. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan roleplay simulasi tanggap darurat bencana tsunami. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat desa Keboireng yang berada pada pesisir pantai gemah sebanyak 40 orang. Guna melihat nilai bagaimana pengetahuan peserta pengabdian, maka sebelum dan setelah kegiatan pengabdian, peserta akan diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner yang dibuat tentang kesiapsiagaan tanggap darurat bencana tsunami. Hasil hasil penelitian, skor pengetahuan pre-test didapatkan nilai rata-rata 74,80 dengan   nilai   minimal   dan   maksimal   67-83. Setelah   diberikan sosialisasi dan simulasi tanggap darurat bencana tsunami skor pengetahuan post-test didapatkan hasil rata-rata 84,25 dengan skor minimal dan maksimal 75-95. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatansimulasi ini terbukti sangat efektif dalam memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang langkah-langkah setelah menerima peringatan bencana, termasuk strategi penyelamatan diri dan jalur evakuasi. Emergency Response Simulation for Tsunami Disaster in the Community of Keboireng Village, Tulungagung Geological disaster threats such as earthquakes and tsunamis in Indonesia, although occurring less frequently on a large scale compared to hydro-meteorological disasters, can cause severe damage and significant loss of life. Low preparedness in facing disaster risks is a major contributor to negative impacts. The coastal area of Tulungagung Regency, particularly in relation to tsunamis, plays a role as a natural protector but is also vulnerable to disasters. Enhancing knowledge related to tsunami disaster mitigation efforts is necessary in this area. This community service aims to improve the community's knowledge of emergency response to tsunami disasters. The implementation method involves socialization and role-play simulation of emergency response to tsunami disasters. The target participants are 40 residents of Keboireng village located on the Gemah coastal area. To assess the participants' knowledge, a questionnaire on emergency response preparedness for tsunami disasters will be administered before and after the community service. The research results show that the pre-test knowledge score averages 74.80, with a minimum and maximum score of 67-83. After receiving socialization and simulation of emergency response to tsunami disasters, the post-test knowledge score averages 84.25, with a minimum and maximum score of 75-95. Based on the activities carried out by the service team, it can be concluded that this simulation activity is proven to be highly effective in providing in-depth understanding of the steps to take after receiving disaster warnings, including self-rescue strategies and evacuation routes.
