Abstract

Speech acts are essential for effective communication, as they involve not just the content of a message but also how it is conveyed and understood by the listener. They play a crucial role in maintaining relationships between speakers and listeners. As a core aspect of pragmatics, speech acts help us interpret the meaning behind utterances, including apologies, requests, complaints, and other forms of communication. This study focuses on analyzing illocutionary, locutionary, and perlocutionary acts in the Monte Carlo movie using qualitative research. This approach relies on the researcher's expertise in analyzing data rather than on numerical or statistical information. In the movie, 69 locutionary acts are identified, where characters express ideas without necessarily expecting the listener to be convinced or take action. The film also features 173 illocutionary acts, with directives—commands or requests—being the most common. These acts are followed by 58 representative acts, in which characters assert beliefs to persuade the listener. Perlocutionary acts, which are the effects these speech acts have on the listener, often result from directive illocutionary acts. Sometimes, these lead to non-verbal responses, such as the listener rejecting the speaker's direction. The study highlights the significance of understanding these speech acts in communication.

Abstract

The low level of public trust in zakat management institutions has resulted in suboptimal zakat collection. One of the efforts to enhance public trust in zakat institutions is the implementation of a robust accounting system in zakat fund management. Proper accounting management is expected to enable zakat management organizations (OPZ) to manage zakat more effectively, efficiently, transparently, and accountably. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to analyze the level of accountability and transparency in the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of South Kalimantan Province. Data collection techniques include interviews and secondary data obtained from BAZNAS South Kalimantan Province. The findings indicate that BAZNAS South Kalimantan Province has demonstrated accountability and transparency in financial reporting, providing information related to activities and programs, auditing financial reports, preparing financial statements in accordance with applicable sharia accounting standards, and utilizing information technology in managing Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) funds. Additionally, the agency has consistently submitted accountability reports to the Governor, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the BAZNAS of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Background:This study explores the need for standardization and documentation in guiding Muslim tourists in Lombok. Currently, tour guides employ varied approaches that lack consistency and formal guidelines, leading to unstructured service delivery. By analyzing insights from religious leaders and experienced tour guides, this research aims to identify effective strategies that ensure uniformity and high-quality service for Muslim tourists.Methodology:A qualitative approach is employed, utilizing in-depth interviews and field observations to assess current practices in handling Muslim tourists. Data collection focuses on the experiences of tour guides, identifying service gaps, and evaluating the need for standardized procedures and documentation.Findings:The findings reveal that the handling of Muslim tourists in Lombok is largely based on individual guides' personal knowledge and experience, with minimal formal documentation or standardized procedures. Seasoned guides exhibit a deeper understanding of Muslim tourists' needs, including halal food provisions, facility cleanliness, and prayer schedule accommodations. This study categorizes Muslim tourist handling into three key phases: Pre-Tour, In-Tour, and Post-Tour. The absence of formal documentation and structured guidelines underscores the necessity of clear operational standards to enhance service consistency and reliability. Conclusion:To improve Muslim tourist services in Lombok, this study highlights the need for well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and systematic documentation to ensure consistency. Regular training programs for tour guides and strengthened collaboration with local communities are essential to reinforce Shariah-compliant tourism services. Additionally, upgrading supporting facilities will further enhance the tourist experience. Implementing these measures will position Lombok as a leading halal tourism destination, offering structured and reliable services to Muslim travelers.

Abstract

The evolution of cellular networks from 1G to 5G has introduced significant advancements in speed, capacity, and reliability. Now, 5G is set to transform communication technology further with higher speeds, increased capacity, reduced latency, and massive IoT connectivity. This research aims to identify the opportunities and challenges in the implementation of 5G networks, focusing on improvements in network speed and capacity, IoT development, industrial applications, user experience, and infrastructure, security, privacy, regulatory, and spectrum challenges. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Data were collected from primary sources (expert interviews, surveys) and secondary sources (academic literature, industry reports). Thematic analysis and descriptive and inferential statistics were applied. 5G significantly enhances network speed and capacity, enabling faster, more reliable communication and greater device connectivity. It supports industrial automation, operational efficiency, and innovation in sectors like healthcare, automotive, and manufacturing. Despite its potential, 5G faces challenges such as high infrastructure costs, coverage issues, and security risks. Effective collaboration between government and industry, prioritizing advanced technologies, and developing a comprehensive 5G ecosystem are essential for successful implementation.
