Abstract

The ability to think analytically is one of the competencies that must be possessed by students. Analytical thinking is a thinking ability that involves the process of breaking down material into small pieces and determining the relationships and overall structure. There are three levels of analytical thinking skills that students must have, namely the ability to remember, understand and be able to apply. Teachers are required to develop a learning model that is more innovative and fun in the learning process in order to stimulate students' analytical thinking by using the JIGSAW and STAD learning models to further hone their process skills. This study uses quantitative methods with associative and comparative types, where the data is taken using questionnaire respondents. The subjects of this study were 180 students. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that from the T test results, the difference in analytical thinking using the STAD model and using the Jigsaw model and the process skills variable using the STAD model and Jigsaw model in mathematics subjects. From the results of the correlation test, it is known that there is a relationship between analytical thinking and student process skills using the Jigsaw learning model. So that this research has an impact on the comparison of analytical thinking with student process    skills using the JIGSAW and STAD learning models.

Abstract

Education is important to increase human resources so that in education one of them needs attitude and self-efficacy in students. This study aims to analyze the differences and the relationship between attitudes and self-efficacy of science students. This study uses quantitative methods with associative and comparative types. The instrument used was a questionnaire linkers scale consisting of 5 categories. The numbers of respondents in this study were 160 students of two classes namely: class VIIA and VIIB. Differential statistical test is carried out by testing assumptions and testing hypotheses. Based on the results of the study, the attitude and self-efficacy t-test of class VII A and VII B students had significant differences. This was evidenced by the value of sig (2-tailed) < 0.05. And the correlation test scores of female students and male students of grades VII A and VIIB have a significant relationship, this is evidenced by the value of sig (2-tailed) which is <0.05. With the results obtained that there is a comparison between female students and male students on each indicator. Students' attitudes and self-efficacy towards science learning are categorized as good enough for both female and male students. The results of the tests that have been carried out in this study also show that there are differences and relationships between attitudes and self-efficacy on the gender of students. However, most of the students' attitudes have a category that tends to be quite good.

Abstract

The success of education in a country automatically also shows the progress of a country. In essence, education itself is a conscious effort to develop personality and within oneself. School is a place where education is held for the purpose of national education. However, not all schools can achieve the expected goals. Like a school that has priority on certain subjects. One of them is Madrasah Tsanawiyah which dominates subjects with religion. So the importance of this study aims to determine the differences and the relationship between the interests and skills of students in learning mathematics with flat side space material. This study uses quantitative methods with associative and comparative types. The sampling technique used in this study used simple random sampling. From the results of the T test and the correlation obtained, it was found that there were differences in the process skills and interests of students with regard to the material build flat side space. This is evidenced by the value of sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. So can be concluded that student interest affects the process skills of students at MTsN (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) and there is a significant relationship between students' interest and process skills in mathematics with flat-sided geometry. There are limitations in this study where this study only measures students' skills, interests have not been tested with other variables such as attitudes, motivation and others.
