Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences and also the relationship between student process skills and student responses to the jigsaw learning model in mathematics subjects at SD Negeri 156/I Bulian Baru, SD Negeri 04/I Sungai Ruan Ilir, MIS Nurul Jadid and MIS Nurul ihsan in Batanghari district. This research is important so that teachers or educators know the students' process skills and student responses to the jigsaw learning model. The urgency of this research is as a reference for educators in carrying out teaching so that it is more optimal by using the jigsaw learning model to improve students' process skills in mathematics subjects at SDN/MIS. This type of research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research by comparing 8 classes using a jigsaw model with material velocity and discharge. The sample in this study was 288 elementary school students, the sampling technique was purposive sampling. This study uses quantitative data analysis with the help of SPSS 25 statistics. Based on the correlation test of student process skills and student responses to the jigsaw model with speed and discharge material, there is a relationship between student process skills and student responses to the jigsaw model with speed and discharge material. The novelty of this study compared to previous research is to use the variables of student process skills and student responses to the jigsaw learning model.

Abstract

The ability to think analytically is one of the competencies that must be possessed by students. Analytical thinking is a thinking ability that involves the process of breaking down material into small pieces and determining the relationships and overall structure. There are three levels of analytical thinking skills that students must have, namely the ability to remember, understand and be able to apply. Teachers are required to develop a learning model that is more innovative and fun in the learning process in order to stimulate students' analytical thinking by using the JIGSAW and STAD learning models to further hone their process skills. This study uses quantitative methods with associative and comparative types, where the data is taken using questionnaire respondents. The subjects of this study were 180 students. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that from the T test results, the difference in analytical thinking using the STAD model and using the Jigsaw model and the process skills variable using the STAD model and Jigsaw model in mathematics subjects. From the results of the correlation test, it is known that there is a relationship between analytical thinking and student process skills using the Jigsaw learning model. So that this research has an impact on the comparison of analytical thinking with student process    skills using the JIGSAW and STAD learning models.

Abstract

Democratic character is very important for students to have, one of the efforts to improve students' democratic character is to apply a problem-solving learning model. This study aims to answer the research question, namely how is the relationship between democratic character variables and solving learning models in high school students in Jambi and Heidelberg in physics subjects. The method used in this research is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the study are the correlation test which states that the relationship with the data results is less than 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the two variables. The conclusion from this study is that there is a relationship between students' democratic character and students' problem-solving learning models. The novelty of this study is at the same time a differentiator from previous research, namely testing whether there is a relationship between students' democratic character and problem-solving learning models. The limitation of this research is that it only describes the democratic character based on the school, but it has not been carried out based on gender in each school. Researchers suggest conducting further research to compare the characteristics of democracy and problem-solving models with an analysis based on gender.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore and analyze the relationship between science process skills and 21st-century skills in science learning through the Systematic Literature Review approach. Data collection was carried out using a reference manager application, namely Publish or Perish. The search strategy used keywords developed from the main concepts, namely science process skills and 21st-century skills in science education. The collected data were then stored in *.ris format for further analysis using VOSviewer software. Bibliometric analysis was used to assess opportunities for future scientific research. This study used metadata from 400 articles. This metadata was extracted from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. Metadata was evaluated using Vosviewer to build its visualization. This mapping process consists of three types of visualizations, namely network visualization, density visualization, and overlay visualization. The results of the study indicate that science process skills are closely related to 21st-century skills, especially in terms of critical thinking, computational thinking, and inquiry-based learning.

Abstract

This study explores and describes the learning process of elementary school teachers and professional education students through the lens of Gagné's learning theory. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, the research analyzes recorded learning sessions of students enrolled in the program. Data collection involves examining the recorded lessons, and the analysis follows a descriptive qualitative framework. The findings reveal that implementing Gagné’s nine instructional events, particularly goal-oriented and active learning strategies, positively influenced student interaction and comprehension of the material. Although there were variations in the ability to recall prior knowledge, all recordings demonstrated significant efforts in delivering content effectively, providing thorough guidance, and offering constructive feedback to enhance knowledge retention and transfer. This study provides a fresh perspective on applying Gagné’s learning theory in professional education, emphasizing its impact on teacher training. Unlike previous studies that often focus on theoretical aspects, this research offers empirical insights into how Gagné’s instructional events can foster deeper engagement and understanding in real-world classroom contexts. Additionally, the study highlights students' diverse experiences in applying Gagné's principles, offering new strategies for improving teaching methods. The implications suggest that educators in teacher preparation programs can use these findings to design more interactive, structured, and outcome-oriented learning environments, ultimately enhancing the quality of education in teacher training programs.

Abstract

Lack of ability in using technology has an impact on learning activities that are less innovative and do not keep up with the times. This research aims to analyze the content of learning videos created by students of the Teacher Professional Education Program based on Gagne's learning theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through content analysis of learning videos. Data were analyzed using content analysis methods to identify the implementation of Gagne's nine instructional steps in these videos. The analysis results show that most of the videos succeeded in getting students' attention and conveying the learning objectives clearly at the beginning of the video. However, there are shortcomings in stimulating recall of previous knowledge, providing detailed study guides, providing consistent feedback, and conducting final assessments to measure student understanding. This shows the need for further training in applying Gagne's theory so that learning video content is more effective. The conclusion of this research is the importance of integrating strong learning theories in creating learning materials. With the right support and training, Teacher Professional Education Program students can improve the quality and effectiveness of their learning videos, thereby providing greater benefits to students' future learning processes.

Abstract

Learning mathematics is possible because of problems in learning facts, concepts, operations and principles. Students who need help teaching mathematics often make mistakes in counting. This research aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by students in fractional material with the types of intelligent thinking, feeling and sensing in learning mathematics. This research approach uses a qualitative approach to document study and interviews. The sample in this study was fourth-grade elementary school students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. Primary data and secondary data are the source of data in this study. The instrument used is in the form of interview sheets and questions regarding fractional material in mathematics lessons. Data analysis was carried out based on the Miles and Huberman model. Based on the results of the STIFIn test, it was found that the Feeling, Sensing and Thinking students were superior in mastering the concept of fractions to the Instinct and Intuiting students. Furthermore, students' strategies in developing fractional problem-solving strategies are comparing fractions with other simple standard fractions, comparing fractions based on the denominator and quantifier, and making fraction representations in the form of flat structures to understand and compare fractions.
