Abstract

In the world of aviation, localizer equipment is an important piece of equipment is important in the instrument landing system. If the localizer equipment is damaged, it will disrupt the flight process that occurs at the airport. For this reason, to keep the localizer equipment in optimal condition, the technicians must always check the condition of the equipment so that it is always in good condition when it is run. If the localizer equipment is damaged, the technician must quickly where the damage to the equipment is. The process of checking the condition of the connected RS232 DB9 serial cable, and checking the voltage on the serial port on the LCP module. If the RS232 DB9 serial cable is damaged or disconnected, you must replace the RS232 cable, then when checking the voltage of the LCP module serial port, the voltage on the LCP port must match the standard, which is 8 V if the voltage drops, the LCP module must be replaced immediately.

Abstract

North Sumatra is the center of oil palm plantations in Indonesia. Palm oil is one of the leading commodities in North Sumatra province. Based on BPPS, North Sumatra has a very large land area of 440,000 ha and production yields of 7,000,000 tons. This study focuses on grouping the area of plantations and oil palm production in the districts/cities of North Sumatra province using the K-Medoids clustering method. In this grouping, several forms of the number of clusters are used to obtain a more optimal grouping. Each form of the number of clusters in this grouping is evaluated based on the DBI value. The smallest DBI value is the best form of the number of clusters in grouping plant area and oil palm production using K-Medoids. The results of this study indicate that the form of the number of clusters 2 is the best form of the number of clusters with a DBI value of 0.099.Keywords: Data mining, Clustering, K-Medoids, Davies Bouldin Index.Sumatera Utara merupakan sentral perkebunan sawit di Indonesia. Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan propinsi Sumatera Utara. Berdasarkan BPPS Sumatera Utara memiliki lahan yang sangat luas mencapai 440.000 ha dan hasil produksi mencapi 7.000.000 ton. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada pengelompokkan luas tanaman dan produksi kelapa sawit di kabupaten/kota propinsi Sumatera Utara menggunakan metode K-Medoids clustering. Pada pengelompokkan ini menggunakan beberapa bentuk jumlah cluster untuk mendapatkan pengelompokkan yang lebih optimal. Masing-masing bentuk jumlah cluster pada pengelompokkan ini di evaluasi berdasarkan nilai DBI. Nilai DBI terkecil merupakan bentuk jumlah cluster terbaik pada pengelompokkkan luas tanaman dan produksi kepala sawit menggunakan K-Medoids. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bentuk  jumlah cluster 2 merupakan bentuk jumlah cluster terbaik dengan nilai DBI 0,099.Kata kunci: Data mining,  Clustering, K-Medoids, Davies Bouldin Index.

Abstract

Abstract: In this study, one of the 4.0 industrial technologies was used to monitor the parameters of the localizer using an android based internet of things application to simplify and shorten the time for monitoring instrument landing system (ILS) equipment. Technicians, management of the Public Company (Perum) Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service Organizing Agency, and the Navigation Inspector do not have to go the runway to check the performance of the landing system instrument, simply use the android application to monitor the parameters of the localizer instrument. In the experiment, measuring the input voltage to the Arduino pin with a negative ground position and positive in the A9 pin position with the playing condition o Tx1 in the on position using a multimeter, the voltage value is 2.99 volt, while the main position on Tx1 is in the off condition, the voltage value is obtained 4.88 volts.       Keywords: instrument landing system; internet of things  Abstrak: Pada penelitian ini digunakan salah satu teknologi industri 4.0 untuk memonitoring parameter dari Localizer menggunakan aplikasi android berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk mempermudah dan mempersingkat waktu dalam monitoring peralatan instrument landing system (ILS). Teknisi, manajemen Perusahaan Umum (Perum) Lembaga Penyelenggara Pelayanan Navigasi Penerbangan Indonesia LPPNPI dan Inspektur Navigasi tidak harus ke landasan pacu untuk mengecek kinerja instrument landing system cukup menggunakan aplikasi android untuk memonitoring parameter Localizer instrument landing system (ILS). Pada percobaan pengukuran tegangan input ke pin arduino dengan negatif pada posisi ground dan positif berada pada posisi pin A9 dengan kondisi main di TX1 pada posisi on dengan menggunakan multimeter didapat nilai tegangan 2,99 Volt, sedangkan posisi main di TX1 pada kondisi off didapat nilai tegangan 4,88 Volt. Kata kunci: instrument landing system; internet of things

Abstract

In this era of very tight competition, every individual must be able to survive in any case, including in the economy. These economic problems make young people especially those who have just finished their education at the SMA/SMK level have to take entrepreneurial steps if there are no job opportunities for them. One of the products in entrepreneurship that still has enthusiasts in the market is souvenirs. In this Community Service, a CNC machine is used for training activities for making souvenirs. It was held at SMK Pulo Brayan Darat (PBD) for 2 days, on December 21 and 22, 2021. On the first day, the participants were given materials and demonstrations by the presenters, and on the second day the participants directly carried out the making of souvenirs. Before carrying out the activity, several stages were carried out such as carrying out observations of the destination of the activity and preparing materials and equipment for the activity, finally after the activity, an evaluation was carried out.. The result of this activity is the creation of several beautiful acrylic souvenirs equipped with colorful lights. Keywords: Acrylic, Entrepreneurship, Souvenirs, Community Service

Abstract

Smart card merupakan kartu cerdas yang didalamnya terdapat mikroprosesor dan memori elektronik untuk menyimpan informasi. Smart card memerlukan reader untuk membaca informasi. Salah satu type dari smart card adalah contact less dimana kartu ini menggunakan teknologi Near Field Communication (NFC). Teknologi Near Field Communication (NFC) adalah teknologi komunikasi nirkabel yang menggunakan induksi magnet berbasis teknologi Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) dalam jarak beberapa centimeter saja. Manfaat dari smart card memberikan kemudahan dalam mengakses informasi. Politeknik Penerbangan (Poltekbang) Medan merupakan salah satu institusi pendidikan vokasi bidang penerbangan yang saat ini sudah memiliki sistem informasi dalam pelayanannya kepada stakeholder. Sistem informasi yang ada antara lain : Sistem Pendaftaran Taruna Baru (Sipencatar), Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD), Sistem Informasi Keuagan (SIMKEU). Dengan pembaharuan teknologi diharapkan smart card mampu mengakomodir penyampaian informasi yang cepat serta memberikan layanan akses yang sangat aman.  Teknologi NFC yang berintegrasi dalam sebuah smart card dengan beberapa keunggulan antara lain tidak mudah rusak dan dapat dimanfaatkan pada perangkat mobile khususnya android yang memiliki harga murah. smart card diharapakan sebagai kartu yang akan menggantikan kartu identitas taruna, yang akan dijadikan sebagai kartu multifungsi untuk akses beberapa fasilitas yang ada di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan.

Abstract

Tugas seorang porter bandara mengangkut barang-barang dari penumpang pesawat yang mana barang tersebut bervariasi berat dan ukurannya, walaupun dari pihak maskapai telah menerapkan standar berat barang yang dapat diangkut maskapai, tetapi tetap saja para penumpang pesawat membawa barang melebihi standar yang ditetapkan oleh maskapai. Pemindahan barang melibatkan porter mengalami pembengkokan badan kedepan yang konstan dan berulang dari posisi berdiri, membungkuk kemudian berdiri lagi, yang menggunakan bahu, siku dan pergelangan tangan bahkan punggung untuk menarik, mendorong dan mengangkat beban yang berat. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada porter pentingnya bekerja secara ergonomik agar terhindar dari terjadinya musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs) pada porter, mitra pengabdian adalah PT. Mitra Angkasa Silangit, metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan melalui pemaparan materi sehingga peserta mengetahui gejala MSDs. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, para porter memahami maksimal berat barang yang dapat diangkut oleh individu serta posisi ergonomi yang baik ketika bekerja. Kata Kunci : ergonomi, porter, musculoskeletal disorder.

Abstract

A Blind people with visual impairments, tools to carry out activities are needed. If they do not use assistive devices, blind people will experience difficulties when carrying out daily activities such as reaching obstacles that are near them. As for those who use tools that are still classified as manual, such as sticks made of stainless steel. However, the stick is considered less effective because the reach of the stick is not so wide and long, it is also less efficient when used in the midst of the activities of people nearby. On the basis of these problems this research was conducted to help blind people be aware of the obstacles around. In this paper discussed an use of the HC-SR04 sensor functions as a detector for objects or holes in front that block the blind while walking. While the use of the buzzer on the blind aids is used as a sound output. The output sound produced is when the critical distance is less than 100 cm, the buzzer will sound and the blind must be aware that there is an object or hole in front. But it will be different if the distance is more than 100 cm then the road ahead is safe in the sense that the blind can continue walking.

Abstract

This research explores the application of a Deep Learning approach by utilizing the Root Mean Square Propagation (RMSprop) algorithm to increase efficiency in flight scheduling. The main focus of the research is on adjusting routes and times to achieve higher operational efficiency in the aviation industry. Aviation is an important aspect of transportation that requires accurate and efficient scheduling to achieve punctuality, operational efficiency and a better passenger experience. This research aims to improve flight scheduling by applying Deep Learning techniques, specifically using the RMSprop algorithm. The research method includes the use of historical flight data to train the model, adjusting routes and times based on the analysis carried out by the RMSprop algorithm. The research results are expected to provide new insights into the application of Deep Learning technology in the aviation industry, with the aim of improving punctuality, reducing flight delays, and increasing the overall efficiency of airline operations. Thus, this research is expected to provide a valuable contribution in the development of a scheduling system that is more adaptive and responsive to the dynamics that occur in flight operations.

Abstract

The success of an organization cannot be separated from increasing superior and quality human resources which must always be managed and emphasized by the organization in order to achieve the expected performance. This research uses a quantitative and qualitative approach, namely by observing learning from the work ethic itself. Work ethic is one of the mandatory lessons for students to become Medan Aviation Polytechnic graduates who will have a good work ethic in the future. The Influence of Work Ethic on Student Performance. The results of the research show that work ethic has a positive and significant influence on student performance in the Medan Aviation Polytechnic regiment organization. This means that work ethic is one of the variables that influences student performance. The work ethic factor has the greatest influence on student performance in this research.
