Abstract

The aims of this article is to provide an overview of the frequency and purposes of students using AI, students' perceptions of AI, and their attitudes toward AI regulation. This article adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, with the population consisting of all active students in the Guidance and Counseling Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University (UHO). A sample of 63 students was selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire via Google Forms, consisting of 15 statements. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics. The results showed that students tend to accept and utilize AI in academic processes; however, they still face challenges related to ethics, transparency, and understanding of academic integrity. Therefore, a more structured institutional strategy is needed in the form of guidelines, training, and ethical regulations so that the use of AI in higher education can be carried out wisely, fairly, and responsibly.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of Guidance and Counseling teachers in using non-test instruments to comprehensively analyze students’ needs. Based on preliminary observations at SMA Negeri 5 Kendari, it was found that most Guidance and Counseling teachers had not yet fully mastered how to design, utilize, and interpret non-test instruments such as problem checklists, needs assessment questionnaires, interviews, and observations. In fact, these instruments are essential for supporting the development of targeted and effective guidance and counseling programs. This community engagement activity was conducted through an intensive six-week training program involving lectures, discussions, and practical simulations. Evaluation results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in using non-test instruments, as evidenced by their active involvement, understanding of the material, and success in producing student needs analysis worksheets. This initiative not only provides practical benefits for BK teachers in carrying out their professional duties, but also represents a concrete contribution by academics in bridging the gap between educational theory and practice in schools.

Abstract

Ampas tahu, yang selama ini dianggap limbah, memiliki kandungan gizi yang tinggi sehingga tidak hanya dapat diolah menjadi kompos dan pakan ternak tapi juga berpotensi diolah menjadi berbagai produk makanan bernilai ekonomis seperti camilan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi lebih lebih dalam pemanfaatan ampas tahu dalam upaya pengembangan potensi usaha masyarakat. Melalui program ini, masyarakat diberikan pelatihan terkait teknik pengolahan ampas tahu menjadi produk bernilai tambah serta strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan langsung, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dalam proses produksi dan distribusi produk. Hasil dari program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, membuka peluang usaha baru, serta mengurangi limbah industri tahu yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Dengan demikian, program ini tidak hanya berfokus pada peningkatan ekonomi, tetapi juga pada aspek keberlanjutan lingkungan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat.
