Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the importance of intellectual intelligence and the influence of emotional intelligence in the world of education. This study report uses a descriptive qualitative lecture method by listening and taking notes because the source of the information was obtained from one of Gita Wirjawan's YouTube channels, namely about "Intelligence & Happiness in a Neuroscience Perspective'' where the content is that one of the keys to happiness is the ability to control emotions so as not to too often hijacks common sense. But from a neuroscience perspective, the extent of the modern human brain, in essence, is not much different from the brains of its predecessors. Neuroscience in developing intellectual intelligence is very important, because the structure of the nervous system underlies human actions in both cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. To make it easier to develop intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence  through interesting and fun learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII dalam mata pelajaran matematika, khususnya dalam memahami materi Persamaan dan Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel. Penelitian ini melibatkan 38 siswa kelas VII di sebuah SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Karawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa lima soal uraian terkait materi tersebut digunakan, serta wawancara tak-terstruktur sebagai instrumen non-tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam membentuk model matematika, memahami pertanyaan yang diajukan, dan menyusun simpulan yang memadai berdasarkan jawaban yang telah diberikan. Kesimpulannya, rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memahami materi Persamaan dan Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel disebabkan oleh kesulitan dalam membentuk model matematika, memahami pertanyaan yang diajukan, dan menyusun simpulan yang memadai.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines corporate financial management practices to identify key themes, patterns, and theoretical perspectives. The research aims to comprehensively understand financial planning, capital structure decisions, risk management, and financial reporting, highlighting their integration in optimizing financial resources and ensuring long-term sustainability. Research Design and Methodology: Utilizing a qualitative literature review approach, the study employs systematic literature search strategies combined with thematic and content analysis to synthesize findings from existing research. The study critically evaluates scholarly contributions to corporate financial management, governance, and regulatory frameworks, offering a structured understanding of best practices. Findings and Discussion: The research highlights the significance of a cohesive financial management framework that integrates strategic planning, risk mitigation, and financial transparency. Findings emphasize the role of corporate governance in fostering accountability and ethical financial decision-making. Additionally, continuous adaptation to market dynamics and regulatory changes is essential for effective financial management. Implications: The study contributes to the theoretical foundation of corporate financial management while offering practical insights for organizations to enhance financial performance and stakeholder trust. It recommends further research on emerging financial strategies, the influence of digital transformation on financial management, and the effectiveness of governance mechanisms in various economic settings.

Abstract

This research explores the interaction between state law and religious law in regulating husbands' authority in Muslim families in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with document analysis methods, in-depth interviews, and case studies, this research identifies how the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and Marriage Law No. 1 of 1974 plays a role in shaping power dynamics in the family. The findings show that despite efforts to harmonize traditional principles of Islamic law and more inclusive modern legal standards, implementation still faces various challenges, including cultural resistance, lack of legal awareness, and inconsistencies in law enforcement. Additionally, international influence and women's human rights activism play an important role in pushing for fairer and more equal legal reforms. Case studies from various regions in Indonesia show variations in legal application that reflect the influence of local context on the interpretation and implementation of family law. The results of this research highlight the need for a holistic approach that includes legal education, ongoing advocacy, and strengthening the capacity of legal institutions to achieve greater gender equality in Muslim family law in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze students' perspectives on the Adiwiyata school program at SMA Negeri 1 Wirosari within the framework of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The research sample consisted of 147 class X students selected using random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through surveys and analyzed based on four main aspects: natural resources, climate change, rural development, and disaster prevention and management. The research results showed that in the natural resources aspect, the value of the biology learning indicator was 71.90%, the extracurricular activities category indicator was 65.17%, and other activities was 69.96%. In the climate change aspect, the biology learning indicator obtained a score of 68.84%, the extracurricular activities category indicator was 57.41%, and other activities was 64.57%. In the rural development aspect, the biology learning indicator obtained a score of 50.61%, the extracurricular activities category indicator was 68.44%, and other activities was 76.49%. Meanwhile, in the aspect of disaster prevention and management, the biology learning indicator reached a value of 82.86%, the extracurricular activities category indicator was 76.39%, and other activities was 79.46%. These findings indicate that the Adiwiyata program has a positive contribution to the implementation of ESD principles at SMA Negeri 1 Wirosari, although there are variations in effectiveness in each aspect and indicator analyzed.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential for students to face the challenges of the 21st century, particularly in biology education. This study aimed to describe the critical thinking skills and learning motivation of students at SMAN 1 Wirosari. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the research involved 36 students selected through purposive random sampling from a population of 396. Data were collected using an essay-based test for critical thinking and a questionnaire for learning motivation, which were analyzed using statistical tools. Results showed that most students’ critical thinking skills were categorized as low, with an average score of 66.11%. Among five indicators of critical thinking based on Ennis' framework, all were in the medium category. Similarly, students’ learning motivation was mostly in the medium category, with an average score of 67.94%. The low performance in critical thinking and learning motivation was attributed to limited teaching methods and a lack of real-life contextual learning. To address this, innovative approaches such as eco-gamification with an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) orientation are recommended to enhance students' engagement, motivation, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan keterampilan esensial yang masih menjadi tantangan bagi banyak siswa, terutama dalam menyelesaikan soal berbentuk cerita. Pemahaman yang lemah terhadap soal cerita dapat menghambat siswa dalam menemukan strategi penyelesaian yang tepat dan merefleksikan kembali solusi yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi barisan dan deret aritmatika menggunakan indikator Polya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sebanyak 33 siswa kelas X jurusan Pengembangan Perangkat Lunak dan Gim (PPLG) di salah satu SMK Negeri di Kabupaten Karawang terlibat dalam penelitian. Kami menggunakan dua soal uraian yang dirancang berdasarkan tahapan pemecahan masalah Polya. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan terutama pada tahap menemukan strategi dan melihat kembali serta melakukan refleksi terhadap solusi yang diperoleh. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kecenderungan siswa yang lebih terbiasa menyelesaikan soal yang menyerupai contoh yang diberikan guru, sehingga kurang terlatih dalam memahami dan menganalisis soal secara mandiri. Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi metode pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan berbasis pengalaman guna membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan strategi pemecahan masalah yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Musi Banyuasin memiliki kekayaan budaya yang unik dan menarik dari daerah lainnya. Berbagai macam budaya, adat dan suku daerah di Indonesia tercermin dari banyaknya pakaian adat di setiap daerah di Indonesia. Salah satunya Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin di Sumatera Selatan. Musi Banyuasin  memiliki pakaian adat dengan keunikan dan kekhasan yang berbeda-beda. Setiap daerah di Sumatera Selatan yang memiliki pakaian adat ini digunakan untuk acara-acara resmi seperti upacara adat dan budaya dan saat upacara pernikahan. Pakaian adat ini digunakan sebagai bukti kecintaan warga terhadap pakaian peninggalan yang harus dilestarikan dengan tetap menggunakannya. Pada pakaian pria ditambahkan aksesoris berupa logam emas di sekitar pakaiannya. Ada kalung berbentuk tanduk kerbau yang terbuat dari emas. Kemudian ditambah dengan sebuah mahkota berwarna emas di kepalanya. Sementara pada pakaian wanita memiliki lebih banyak hiasan dan aksesoris. Baju adat Musi banyuasin  ini dihiasi dengan banyak aksesoris seperti kalung emas, ada mahkota dan konde yang juga terbuat dari emas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of illocutionary speech acts, illocutionary speech act functions, illocutionary speech act effects, and produce a form of Indonesian learning text supplement based on illocutionary speech acts in advertisements on RRI Sambas 97.7 MHz. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The source of data in this study is recordings of public service advertisements broadcast through radio media that are suspected to have aspects of illocutionary speech acts. Data collection techniques are documentary study techniques, listen, record. Data validity testing techniques are Techniques to increase persistence and Triangulation techniques. This study produced representative illocutionary speech act types 7, directive 7, expressive 4, commissive 1. Assertive illocutionary speech act function 7, directive 8, expressive 3, commissive 1. Effects of illocutionary speech acts positive 13 and negative 6. The form of Indonesian learning text based on illocutionary speech acts in advertisements on RRI Sambas 97.7 MHz produces explanatory text.

Abstract

Terdapat beberapa masalah dalam proses pembelajaran diantaranya sebagian besar siswa tidak dapat memaparkan gagasan-gagasan matematika ke dalam bentuk gambar, tabel, diagram, grafik, dan juga ekspresi aljabar, siswa belum bisa mengomunikasikan pendapatnya dengan baik, dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebagian besar siswa cenderung rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, dan implikasi penerapan model pembelajaran cycle 5E terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperimen. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X TKR SMK ISDA Babakan yang berjumlah 5 kelas, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 2 kelas. Kelas X TKR 2 terdiri dari 35 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X TKR 5 terdiri dari 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji prasyarat, uji t, dan N-Gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran cycle 5E memiliki kriteria cukup baik, adanya peningkatan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran cycle 5E dan terdapat implikasi penerapan model pembelajaran cycle 5E terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.
