Abstract

The multi-religious reality cannot be avoided by the people of Indonesia, one of which is in the Lumajang Regency. If not treated properly, this condition will create the potential that leads to religious conflict. FKUB (Forum for Religious Harmony) is a bridge between religion and the state in uniting a pluralistic Indonesian society to create religious spaces. Interfaith dialogue is a meeting place for community and religious leaders through joint discussion sessions to open people's insights regarding differences through qualitative research methods with an ethnographic approach. Then for data collection techniques, the authors conducted observations, interviews, and literature studies both online and offline. The theoretical analysis carried out in this case study uses the concept of "Interfaith Dialogue" by Hans Kung through participatory involvement, which is divided into several activities, namely: 1) Inauguration of the Harmony Awareness Village; 2) Inter-Religious Harmony Dialogue in Senduro Village; 3) Inter-Religious Youth Harmony Dialogue (GEMA-UTAMA); 4) Interreligious Women's Dialogue (FP-KUB). The implementation of interfaith dialogue produces a positive impact on society. The interfaith dialogue program offered by FKUB Lumajang Regency is crucial in stimulating interfaith dialogue and creating avenues for communication.

Abstract

Spirituality poetry generally contains elements of beauty and aesthetics, so it tends to display linguistics and literature. Sa‘dūn’s poetry has its uniqueness with spiritual content in it. Spirituality in Sa‘dūn’s poetry describes the close relationship between man and God, which is reflected in the form of criticism of society. Therefore, this study aims to determine the form of spirituality in Sa‘dūn’s poetry. This research method uses content analysis by using Ibn ‘Arabī’s hermeneutics approach in its interpretation. The results of this study indicate two things, namely: (1) essence of death in the first poem contains three important pieces of advice, namely life in this world, life in the afterlife, and prepare for death; and (2) essence of ma‘rifah contained in the second Sa‘dūn’s poetry shows Sa‘dūn’s closeness to God as evidenced by two things, namely zuhud and world prevents towards Allah. This study is important in expanding the study of Ibn ‘Arabi’s hermeneutics which is usually only used to interpret the inner meaning in the Qur’ān and ḥadīth. Hermeneutics can also be used in other literary works such as poetry, novels, short stories, etc.

Abstract

This research aims to seek the transformation that occurs in the translation of the sexism forms in the novel Pasung Jiwa, and its translation of the novel Bound. Research data was collected by observing and taking notes, which were then analyzed using the translational equivalence method and then described descriptively-qualitatively. The form of sexist speech is identified using the theory of Glick and Fiske. The meaning of the data obtained was searched using the KBBI VI monolingual dictionary and the Merriam-Webster dictionary. The types of transformation found in the translation is identified using the theory of Proshina, and the transformation will be analyzed lexically. The research results show that there are 48 forms of sexism by Glick and Fiske out of a total of three types of sexism, namely Hostile sexism, Benevolent sexism, and Ambivalent sexism. After identifying the forms of sexism that were found, the next transformation of lexical changes was that a total of 63 data were found with details of the data that appeared most frequently to those that appeared least, namely generalization, modulation, specification, compensation, metaphorical transformation, and finally differentiation.
