Abstract

Pokok pembahasan terhadap pneumatologi memiliki cakupan wilayah yang sangat luas dan dalam untuk dikaji, baik yang terkait dengan sumber-sumber dari teks Kitab Suci maupun naskah-naskah non-biblikal. Fokus pemaparan dalam tulisan ini akan dikonsentrasikan kepada bagaimana gagasan umum tentang roh itu dipahami di dunia Timur Tengah Kuno. Selanjutnya bagaimana gagasan tentang roh itu berkembang dalam kehidupan umat Israel. Untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif maka telusur terhadap dinamika karya Roh akan dilakukan melalui penyelidikan terhadap uraian yang tersaji dalam kitab Taurat, Sejarah, Syair dan Nabi-nabi.

Abstract

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is often associated with the words of the apostle Peter when quoting the words of Joel. 2:28-29 contains God's promise to all mankind. Fulfillment of this promise aims to empower God's people in carrying out God's mission, namely evangelism. Nevertheless, ironically the congregation does not necessarily understand the meaning of this text and is reluctant to preach the gospel. This study seeks to find the meaning of the text with the message of the gospel. The method used is a qualitative narrative with hermeneutic procedures. This study finds the meaning of the text that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for every believer without any limitations with the aim of evangelism empowered by the Holy Spirit so that all nations can know the great work of God done through Jesus Christ. This study also recommends that the church understand the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, empowered evangelism, and synergies of evangelism programs between churches.

Abstract

Women are always in a dilemma in the postmodern era. For those with a positive view, women are seen as having skills that men do not have. However, from the negative side, women are seen as inferior and weak. The feminist movement, which has spread to all levels of society, is also seen as the wrong response. Therefore, studies are needed that show women's education from ancient sources, namely the Ancient Middle East, which was the ancestor of Christianity, as the context for the birth of the religion of Israel. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The research results show that women's participation in education in Ancient Middle Eastern society is evident. Even though they live in a patriarchal environment in Israel, women play a role in family, law, kinship, and religion in Ancient Middle Eastern society. The presence of women has colored the various roles of society at that time
