Abstract

The school environment is central to children's direct learning. In developing potential in early childhood at school, the environmental design must prioritize safety, comfort and fun. KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK has Quality ECD guidelines on safe learning environments for early childhood. The purpose of the study was to determine the indicators and how to realize a safe environment in PAUD units. The method in the study used a literature study, namely data sources obtained from books, articles, scientific publications related to a safe learning environment in PAUD. Indicators in a safe learning environment in PAUD units, namely building safety, environmental safety, availability of first aid facilities and unit policies on anti-violence. Safe buildings must meet sturdy and stable standards and environmental safety must pay attention to the safety of children when entering school, during learning and returning home. The availability of first aid facilities in PAUD units aims to anticipate and provide first aid to children who have an accident or illness at school. Anti-violence unit policy in PAUD through three efforts, namely awareness, prevention and handling efforts. Therefore, PAUD units must pay attention to indicators in realizing a safe environment for early childhood so that development is optimally stimulated.

Abstract

The Reggio Emilia learning model is a model that is currently rife in the world of education and is used by educators in the process of learning activities. In the Reggio Emilia approach emphasizes making projects as a result of learning so as to stimulate or encourage children to create ideas that they think of, because this learning is oriented to children, so that it can increase children's creative abilities based on their talents. However, the phenomenon that occurs today at the education level, especially at the pre-school level, is often found that learning activities tend to be centered on educators. Learning activities that occur are not fully child-centered and make the learning system unattractive to children, as a result children will experience saturation in learning activities, children also have no room to develop their abilities in imagining, exploring, and innovating their ideas and ideas. The purpose of this study was to determine the Reggio Emilia learning approach based on stimulation of early childhood creativity. The method used in this research is a literature study based on theories related to the case or problem found. While the data collection technique in this study uses primary data obtained from several national and international journals and articles. The results showed that the Reggio Emilia approach can encourage children's creativity with several aspects, namely the personal aspects that children have, the driving aspects that are programmed and well coordinated, aspects of the creative process from the preparation stage to improvement, and finally the product aspect as a result of the form of creativity which is the advantage or characteristic of the Reggio Emilia approach system so as to produce learning products. The findings in this study, through the Reggio Emilia approach, children are given the freedom to learn according to their abilities, interests, with child-oriented learning so that educators only serve as facilitators who facilitate children and children to work on their own products directed by educators.

Abstract

Learning is a complex activity. Learning is not just conveying messages but is also a professional activity that requires teachers to use basic pedagogical skills in an integrated manner in creating effective situations. Ice Breaking is a simple, light and concise game or activity that functions to change the atmosphere of freezing, stiffness, boredom or sleepiness in lecture activities. The research method in this article is a descriptive qualitative method carried out at UIN Sunan Kalijaga on third semester students of the PIAUD study program. The results of the research showed that the lecturer implemented ice breaking to re-optimize the class situation at the beginning of the delivery of the material which did not seem conducive because the students started to feel sleepy, bored and not concentrating on the lecturer's explanation in front of the class. So use various types of icebreakers, namely 1). Types of shouts 2). Interactive clap type 3). Types of games and games and the last one 4). Types of audio visuals that can be delivered at the beginning or closing activities. This is an effective way to restore students' learning motivation so that the class becomes active and conducive.   ABSTRAK Pembelajaran merupakan suatu kegiatan yang komplek. Pembelajaran bukan hanya sekedar menyampaikan pesan tetapi juga merupakan kegiatan profesional yang menuntut guru untuk menggunakan keterampilan pedagogis dasar secara terpadu dalam menciptakan situasi yang efektif. Ice Breaking merupakan permainan atau kegiatan yang sederhana, ringan dan ringkas yang berfungsi untuk mengubah suasana kebekuan, kekakuan rasa bosan atau mengantuk dalam kegiatan perkuliahan. Metode penelitian pada artikel ini metode kualitatif deksriptif yang dilakukan di UIN Sunan Kalijaga pada mahasiswa semester III prodi PIAUD. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dosen mengimplementasikan ice breaking dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan kembali situasi kelas pada awal penyampaian materi terlihat tidak kondusif karena mahasiswa mulai mengantuk, bosan, dan tidak konsentrasi pada penjelasan Dosen didepan kelas. Maka menggunakan ice breaking dengan berbagai jenis yaitu Jenis yel-yel Jenis tepuk interaktif. Jenis games maupun permainan dan yang terahir. Jenis audio visual yang bisa disampaikan pada kegiatan awal, maupun kegiatan penutup. menjadi hal yang efektif untuk mengembalikkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa sehingga kelas menjadi aktif dan kondusif.

Abstract

Parents and adults around children are obliged to guide, protect and provide education to children. Parents and adults around children should be able to create a safe and friendly environment for children. This environment is able to accept the exsistence of children, the characteristics of children, the differences of children regardless of background, religion, culture, language, social class, economy, gender, race, ethnicity, including children with special needs who are also given the same opportunity to receive guidance protection, and education. The presence of this environment is a solution to the many acts of discrimination and harassment against children, especially children with special needs (ABK). This environment is called and inclusive environment as an embodiment of quality early childhood education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PBP) di tingkat Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) serta menganalisis sejauh mana PBP dapat mengembangkan keterampilan abad 21 yang relevan pada anak usia dini. Penelitian “ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah satu lembaga PAUD di Bantul yang telah menerapkan PBP. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan anak, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBP telah diterapkan dengan baik di lembaga PAUD tersebut. Anak-anak terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, mulai dari perencanaan proyek hingga presentasi hasil. Melalui PBP, anak-anak mengembangkan berbagai keterampilan abad 21, seperti berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi. Mereka juga menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan social, dan rasa percaya diri. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa tantangan dalam implementasi PBP, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru, dan perbedaan persepsi antara guru dan orang tua tentang tujuan PBP. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PBP merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad 21 pada anak usia dini. Namun, diperlukan dukungan yang lebih kuat dari berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah, sekolah, orang tua, untuk memastikan keberhasilan implementasi PBP.

Abstract

Supporting the optimization of early literacy is crucial for developing language skills. Reading at an early age is often called early reading. Therefore, this study aims to determine how literacy facilities are used to learn early reading skills, especially for the 5-6-year-old age group. Primary data was collected through observation, interviews, and activity documentation, while secondary data sources were obtained from literature reviews. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman's, which involves identifying and describing the main problem, categorizing data according to the discussion, presenting and analyzing data descriptively, and drawing conclusions about the main problem. The researcher used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were group B of TK Islam Terpadu Salsabila 5 Purworejo, totaling 25 students, one classroom teacher, and the principal. The results of this study indicate that the TK Islam Terpadu Salsabila 5 Purworejo institution introduces early reading through (1) Literacy corner and pre-reading routines; (2) Natural materials/loose part methods; (3) Electronic media (laptops) and storytelling method; (4) Tracing, sticking, and imitating words. These learning media are expected to facilitate students' learning and help them recognize early reading. The facilities provided are excellent and helpful, and it is hoped that in the future, electronic media (laptops) will be presented via an LCD screen to accommodate all students.

Abstract

One of the potential developments of early childhood is the cognitive development of children, and loose part is a media material for teaching a use in children's learning is never ending, loose part teaching materials can be used as a tool to explore various aspects including; Problem solving, Creativity, Concentration, Fine motoric, Gross motoric, Science, Language development (Literacy), Art (Art), Mathematical thinking logic (math), Engineering (Engineering) and Technology (Technology). The purpose of this research is to develop cognitive aspects of early childhood through freelance teaching materials. The method used in this research is Classroom Action research. The results of the Class Action research at PAUD Nurul Hidayah Garut, the ability of 10 children in developing their cognitive obtained in Cycle I was considered less than optimal so that improvements were needed in Cycle II. In Cycle II there was an increase in the child's ability in fine motor development according to the expected target, so this research was stopped in Cycle II.

Abstract

One of the most important qualities that prospective PAUD teachers must have to encourage the development of high-quality learning is professional competence. Using a literature review study approach, this study seeks to investigate and evaluate how the professional competence of future PAUD teachers contributes to improving teaching standards. This study collects and examines various related literature, such as Google Scholar, OpenKnwledge, Sage, and ScienceDirect. Focusing on literature published in the last 10 years, namely between 2015 and 2024. This study will be conducted in three stages, starting with a literature search using the keywords "professional competence of PAUD teachers", "prospective PAUD teacher competence", and "quality PAUD learning" through predetermined literature sources, which resulted in 50 articles. In the second stage, the researcher will analyze the collected references and select 21 papers that meet the inclusion criteria. The results of the study indicate that proficiency in educational technology, the application of developmentally appropriate pedagogical approaches, and mastery of learning materials are components of the professional competence of prospective PAUD teachers. In addition, professional training, formal education, and direct experience in the field can help improve this competence. The difficulties experienced by prospective PAUD teachers, such as limited access to resources and training, were also highlighted in this study. To ensure that their professional competence can meet the demands of efficient and enjoyable learning, this study suggests improving education and training programs for prospective PAUD teachers.   ABSTRAK Salah satu kualitas terpenting yang harus dimiliki oleh calon guru PAUD untuk mendorong pengembangan pembelajaran berkualitas tinggi adalah kompetensi profesional. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi tinjauan pustaka, penelitian ini berupaya untuk menyelidiki dan mengevaluasi bagaimana kompetensi profesional guru PAUD masa depan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan standar pengajaran. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan dan meneliti berbagai literatur terkait, seperti Google Scholar, OpenKnwledge, Sage, dan ScienceDirect. Fokus pada literatur yang diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir yaitu antara 2015 dan 2024. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, diawali dengan pencarian literatur dengan menggunakan kata kunci “kompetensi professional guru PAUD”, “kompetensi calon guru PAUD”, dan “pembelajaran PAUD berkualitas” melalui sumber literatur yang telah ditentukan, yang menghasilkan 50 artikel. Pada tahap kedua, peneliti akan menganalisis referensi yang terkumpul dan memilih 21 makalah yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemahiran dalam teknologi pendidikan, penerapan pendekatan pedagogis yang sesuai dengan perkembangan, dan penguasaan materi pembelajaran merupakan komponen kompetensi profesional calon guru PAUD. Selain itu, pelatihan profesional, pendidikan formal, dan pengalaman langsung di bidang tersebut dapat membantu meningkatkan kompetensi ini. Kesulitan yang dialami oleh calon guru PAUD, seperti keterbatasan akses terhadap sumber daya dan pelatihan, juga disorot dalam penelitian ini. Untuk menjamin bahwa kompetensi profesional mereka dapat memenuhi tuntutan pembelajaran yang efisien dan menyenangkan, penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan program pendidikan dan pelatihan bagi calon guru PAUD.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran orang tua dan guru dalam penggunaan media sosial sebagai alat pembelajaran dimasa pandemic covid-19 saat ini yang dilaksanakan di TK Al-Azhar 6 jatimulyo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi serta wawancara yang ditujukan kepada orang tua dan guru di TK Al-Azhar 6 Jatimulyo. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah menggunakan teknik Huberman-miles dengan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa guru dan orang tua sudah berkontribusi baik dalam pemanfaatan media sosial untuk proses pembelajaran daring selama pandemi covid-19 namun masih ditemukan beberapa hambatan yang mana hal tersebut dihadapi oleh beberapa orangtua ketika proses belajar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa guru dan orang tua telah berperan dalam penggunaan media sosial namun masih ditemukan adanya kendala yang dialami orang tua.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a crucial role in shaping children’s character through the integration of religious and ethical values. This study aims to examine strategies for integrating these values into the ECE curriculum, their impact on character formation, and the challenges of implementation. Employing a qualitative approach based on a literature review, the study analyzes 25 sources, including journals, books, and government regulations, selected for their relevance to character education in early childhood (2010–2023). Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis to identify themes of strategies, impacts, and obstacles. Findings indicate that strategies such as habituation (e.g., praying and practicing courtesy), value-based storytelling, structured play, and project-based learning effectively enhance prosocial behaviors (empathy, cooperation), moral integrity (honesty, responsibility), and spiritual awareness (gratitude, faith). However, challenges such as limited teacher competency, variations in interpreting religious values, and uncontrolled gadget exposure hinder implementation. The study recommends teacher training, collaboration with parents, and the development of digital learning media to support holistic character education. These findings contribute to developing a value-rich ECE curriculum, supporting Indonesia’s national education vision. Keywords:  Early Childhood Education; Value; Character
