Abstract

The teacher certification is an official program to improve teacher’s quality as well as his/her social status. There are two ways of certification of teacher in working, namely by portfolio assessment and by professional education assessment. But the certification actually runs on seniority, not professionally. It results that many certified teachers will be soon retired. The fact shows that the certified teachers are not always professional ones and in turn does not always improve the educational quality. Therefore the certification should be professionally practiced so the certified teachers verily improve the educational quality.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the implementation of the 5R culture (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin /simple, neat, clean, conscious, industrious) at a branch of government office at Jakarta, as a part of a Ministrial General Directorate. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data sources from 3 informants consisting of the a lower level manager and two staffs. The data collected by observation, interviews, analysis of documentation, and triangulation techniques. The research concluded that 5R culture implemented by the actions of the principles of 5R at the job environment. The implementation stimulated the planned organizational target at work: efficiency, productivity, quality, and work safety. One R that did not implemented clearly is the discipline. Abstract

Teachers and parents have the task and responsibility to educate children to have good character. One of the characters that need to be trained in early childhood is independence and food courtesy. The method used by the author to practice this is storytelling with APE puppets and pictorial aprons. The research method used is qualitative. The results and discussion of this study found that B3 group students were able to answer questions correctly. This shows that APE puppet people used as media for storytelling for writers are effective for training independence of early childhood. With this APE illustrated apron group B3 students can better understand what is good eating habits and eating habits that should not be done.

Abstract

Technological advances today require parents and teachers to be more creative and innovative in learning with children, in this case for early childhood. One of them can be attempted by learning media or playing children. Many varieties of learning tools or media can be used by teachers to help the development of children, one of which is busy book. The Busy book in this study was named "My Little World". The type of research used is qualitative. The methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research are done using tools or medium of early childhood learning, which is made of patchwork and some sewing equipment that is no longer used. This Busy book contains a variety of simple play activities, including: puzzles, maze, finger puppets, attaching ropes, attaching buttons, matching colors and shapes, sorting patterns and so on. Busy book is a result of teacher creativity that can not be found in other institutions. Busy book was created to provide a more learning experience to the children who are already finished in playing activities with the teacher. The opportunity to play using busy book is designed with striking colors, giving its own appeal for the child. Another thing that characterizes the media is that, in one media play, the child can play and learn to develop various aspects of its development.

Abstract

Escort ship is a warship designed for the duties of guarding and protecting a main body or not of high value when a formation is carrying out sea crossing tasks. The Escort ship is also the main element of the convoy's protection. The crew member factor is a determinant of the ability level of the Escort Ship Unit and the readiness of other equipment. As the main factor, human resource must have high quality, readiness and discipline. Each individual and group must be skilled and work, and have good discipline. The existence of discipline and individual performance of the Escort Ship Unit and related to the terrain in the ship's environment and at sea, with the terrain situation being subject to change at any time, the Indonesian Navy carries out various organizational restructuring efforts which are expected to also contribute to the quality of its personnel. One of them is through training for mature provisions in the given field. The purpose of this study was to test and analyze the effect of training and discipline simultaneously on the performance of the 2nd Fleet Command Escort Ship Unit soldiers, to test and analyze the effect of training partially on the performance of the 2nd Fleet Command Escort Ship Unit soldiers, to test and analyze the effect of discipline partially on the performance of the Satkor Koarmada II soldiers. This research approach uses quantitative methods, namely methods that use the number of samples and numerical data. The results showed that the Training and discipline simultaneously and partial have a significant effect on the performance of the 2nd Fleet Command Escort Ship Unit Soldiers. From the results of this study, it can be said that training and discipline can improve the performance of the 2nd Fleet Command Escort Ship Unit in carrying out training.

Abstract

Humans are the perfect creation of Allah SWT. It lies within their mind. Moreover, they also have the brain as a control center for all human activities. This article aims to explain the concepts of al-quran and neuroscience as well as the study of the brain and mind in al-quran and neuroscience. The approach used was qualitative of Creswell model library research. Data sources were obtained from the literature in the fields of the brain and mind, al-quran and neuroscience. Data collection techniques had used Sugiyono model. The data analysis technique had used Moleong analysis model. The results of this study indicated that if humans use their brains and mind to think properly and correctly, they would be able to provide and to create new ideas in solving various problems. After humans are even more aware, they would increase the faith and devotion to Allah.

Abstract

The importance of communication for humans cannot be separated, as well as for an organization, with good communication an organization can run smoothly and successfully, and vice versa, lack of communication can cause chaos and problems arise in an organization. Based on initial observations, the organization of the Front Group Standing Board of Kerjo Karanganyar State High School in the process of mental and character formation was considered lacking, one of which was a lack of responsibility and good manners. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the communication of the Front Gugus Ambalan Council Organization of Kerjo Karanganyar State High School is carried out in the process of mental and character formation. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the organizational communication of the Kerjo State High School Standing Board in the process of mental and character formation. This research uses a qualitative description. The subjects of this research were Scoutmasters, Ambalan Council administrators and Ambalan Pradewan. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. The technique for determining informants is purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques use library research and triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model, namely data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the organizational communication of the Kerjo Karanganyar State High School Ambalan Council Organization, both upward and downward communication, has been going well, but there are several inhibiting factors that have an impact on the mental and character formation process of Pradewan Ambalan, namely differences in status, lack of self-confidence, awareness and miscommunication.   Keywords: Organizational Communication, mentality and character, Standing Board

Abstract

Online learning, conducted through the flatforms such as the zoom, What’s App, and e-learning, is unable to improve students’ comprehension of the contents of lectures. The purpose of the study was to improve the ability of students’ understanding at PIAUD Program UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu by utilizing videos as learning media during the pandemic. The research method used was the quantitative one with an experimental approach. The sampling was 23 respondents of students at 6D class. The data collection method used tests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The test data collection instrument used pretest and post-tests. Instruments and data analysis of tests, questionnaires, and interviews assisted by the Google Forms. This study further used the analysis of descriptive quantifiable data. The results of the research show that the use of videos improved the understanding ability of the PIAUD students, and this was obtained from the analysis of student pretest value data before using learning videos at an average of 40.87%. Furthermore, there was an increase in students' comprehension ability at the average post-test scores after using learning the videos as learning media, which was 58.26%. Abstrak Pembelajaran daring yang berlangsung dengan menggunakan aplikasi zoom, what’s App, dan e-learning masih belum dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman mahasiswa pada materi yang dipelajari saat perkuliahan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman mahasiswa Program Studi PIAUD UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu dengan memanfaatkan video sebagai media pembelajaran pada masa pandemi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 23 responden dari mahasiswi kelas 6D. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data tes menggunakan pretest dan post-test. Instrumen dan analisis data tes, angket, dan wawancara berbantuan Google Form. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kuantiatif-deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemanfaatan video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman mahasiswa. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil analisis data nilai pretest mahasiswa sebelum menggunakan video pembelajaran dengan rata-rata sebesar 40,87%, kemudian terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman mahasiswa pada nilai rata-rata post-test setelah menggunakan video pembelajaran sebagai media belajar sebesar 58,26%.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap data-data bibliometric terkait kajian pendidikan literasi. Studi ini menggunakan metode bibliometric analisis untuk memeriksa tren penebitan sekaligus tema-tema yang berkembang seputar kajian pendidikan literasi. Studi ini menggunakan basis data SCOPUS dan data diambil pada 28 oktober 2022. Kajian dibatasi pada jenis dokumen artikel, prosiding, resensi, dan bab buku. Data yang ditargetkan diambil dengan menerapkan kata kunci pencarian: “literacy”, “child”, “Edu” OR “Learn” OR “Teach”. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terjadi pertumbuhan kajian Pendidikan islam di jurnal terindeks scopus dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir. Kajian Pendidikan literacy yang Sebagian besar di tulis oleh para ilmuwan Barat nampaknya meningkat signifikan karena literasi tentang jurnal internasional yang semakin meningkat dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Meskipun demikian terlihat dari 3 jurnal yang paling banyak mempublikasikan artikel spesifik pada pendidikan dan pengembangan litersi pada anak. Studi ini dibatasi pada kajian pendidikan literasi dalam database SCOPUS. Hasil studi ini dapat menjadi acuan pagi peneliti pendidikan literasi dalam pengembangan tema riset ke depan. Studi ini baru berfokus pada analisis data bibliometric. Studi review selanjutnya dapat mengeksplorasi berbasis temuan menggunakan metode systematic literature review. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang perkembangan pendidikan literasi. Temuan penelitian ini berimplikasi pada arah kajian pendidikan literasi yang lebih jelas. Penelitian ini mempertegas arah kajian pendidikan literasi yang lebih modern dan progressif menumbuhkan minat literasi. Studi review kajian pendidikan literasi sudah dilakukan beberapa scholar. Studi review yang ada terbatas berfokus pada analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Studi ini memberikan perspektif yang lebih komprehensif melalui metode bibliometric analisis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perspektif guru tentang kelebihan dan kekurangan atau faktor pendukung dan penghambat dari implementasi asesmen berbasis kelas dan memahami sejauh mana guru-guru memaknai asesmen kelas dan implikasinya dalam realitas di lapangan. Pendidik terkadang tidak memahami adanya tahapan kontekstual, kolaborasi, penggunaan sumber belajar yang harus bervariasi serta kegiatan investigasi dalam mengases kelas. Kesulitan-kesulitan dalam memahami kompetensi dasar dan cara menyelaraskan instrument asesmen dengan KD Indikator dari materi pembelajaran pun sering dijumpai dalam proses asesmen kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan interview studies. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen wawancara dengan melalui telephone dan whatsapp. Subjek penelitian meliputi 3 guru dari latar belakang sekolah dan daerah berbeda yang ada di Pulau Sulawesi. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari perspektif guru dalam menjawab pertanyaan sedangkan penyajian data kualitatif yaitu penyajian teks bersifat naratif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat beberapa kelebihan dari asesmen kelas menurut perspektif guru, diantaranya; asesmen kelas dapat menggambarkan sejauh mana kompetensi telah dicapai oleh peserta didik, membantu memudahkan peserta didik mengenali dan memahami dirinya, membantu guru dalam memutuskan langkah pemilihan program belajar, serta kegiatan-kegiatan yang terkait dalam pengembangan kepribadian, dll. Sedangkan kekurangan atau faktor penghambat asesmen kelas itu sendiri yaitu terdiri atas 3 : keterbatasan media dan bahan ajar, ketiadaan referensi tentang asesmen kelas, diferensiasi karakter peserta didik.
