Abstract

Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) is a concept in Industrial Revolution 4.0 to encourage business growth, competitiveness, and success. Organizations that prioritize innovation and encourage creativity are expected to thrive in the current dynamic and unpredictable business environment. This study aims to provide ideas, suggestions and contributions to researchers who examine IWB variables, making it easier for researchers to determine the antecedent and consequent variables as well as the sectors to be studied. This study uses a literature review method to investigate the antecedents, consequences, and sectors that are involved in IWB by reviewing 44 articles from the Scopus database that have been reviewed. In addition, this study uses a bibliometric technique in order to find IWB’s compatibility. Results indicate that IWB has 63 antecedents and can be classified into three factors: individual, organizational, and leadership. As for consequences, it shows 6 consequences which also consist of digital literacy and competitive advantages apart from performance. Sectors that engage in IWB are predominantly telecommunication and manufacturing. It is hoped that IWB could expand to all sectors especially public sectors such as public services.

Abstract

As the development of infrastructure progresses rapidly, concrete technology is also required to continuously improve. Numerous studies on concrete technology have been conducted to meet these demands, one of which is the innovation of Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC) with 15% silica fume and 30% quartz sand. One application of reactive powder concrete in structural element design is the concrete slab. A concrete slab is a thin structure with a horizontal plane and loads perpendicular to the plane of the structure. Concrete slabs are designed to withstand bending loads due to bending moments caused by heavy loads, which are a combination of dead loads and live loads. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct flexural performance tests on concrete slabs to determine their ability to withstand loads that cause bending moments on the slabs. The research aims to compare the experimental test results with numerical analysis of the flexural performance of reactive powder concrete slabs with varying thicknesses and span length - width ratios. The test specimens for varying thicknesses measure 70 cm x 30 cm with thickness variations of 4 cm, 5 cm, 6 cm, and 7 cm. Meanwhile, the test specimens for varying span length-to-width ratios have a thickness of 5 cm and a length of 70 cm with span length-to-width ratio variations of 2,5; 2,7; 2,9; and 3,1. The research method used is non-linear finite element analysis with ATENA Engineering Červenka Consulting software. This research includes verification of experimental test results with numerical analysis results in terms of both maximum load and maximum deflection. The verification results of numerical analysis using ATENA Engineering Červenka Consulting software with experimental testing on both thickness variations and span length - width ratio variations show a corresponding trend curve based on the load-deflection graph, with the difference in maximum load and maximum deflection values between experimental test results and numerical analysis results being below 10%.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Hurdle events represent a complex athletic discipline requiring the integration of speed, power, technical skill, and specific physiological adaptations. Despite extensive research on sprint events, limited studies have comprehensively examined the multifaceted physiological demands specific to hurdle competitions. Purpose of the Study: This study aimed to investigate the physiological adaptations in endurance, strength, and flexibility among hurdle athletes and determine the correlations between these parameters and competitive performance. Materials and Methods: Twenty-four hurdle athletes (age: 17.2 ± 1.1 years) from SMA Negeri 2 Medan, Sumatera Utara, participated in this correlational study. Participants underwent comprehensive physiological assessments including VO₂max testing, isokinetic strength measurements, and flexibility evaluations. Performance data were collected from official competition records over a 12-month period. Results: Significant correlations were found between hurdle performance times and maximal oxygen uptake (r = -0.68, p < 0.01), lower limb power output (r = -0.74, p < 0.001), and hip flexibility measures (r = -0.56, p < 0.05). Athletes demonstrated superior anaerobic power (738.4 ± 67.2 W) and enhanced range of motion in hip flexion (118.7 ± 8.4°) compared to age-matched controls. Conclusions: Hurdle events demand specific physiological adaptations encompassing aerobic capacity, explosive power, and enhanced flexibility. These findings provide evidence-based guidelines for targeted training interventions in hurdle athletes.
