Abstract

The study aims to examine the role of school management in supporting the implementation of the "Kurikulum Merdeka" (Freedom Curriculum) in Indonesian schools abroad, specifically at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB), Malaysia. As an educational reform, Kurikulum Merdeka aims to foster students’ development aligned with Pancasila values through flexible, student-centered learning methods. Using a qualitative method involving interviews, observations, and document analysis, the study analyzes the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation processes of the curriculum at SIJB. Findings indicate that effective school management significantly supports the curriculum’s implementation by addressing challenges and optimizing the educational environment, helping shape students in line with Pancasila’s characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the management of extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Menganti Gresik as an effort to develop students’ character and non-academic skills. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that extracurricular management at the school is well-organized and structured, covering program planning, implementation, evaluation, and transparent financial management. Extracurricular activities such as futsal, hockey, scouting, and student organizations have significantly contributed to the improvement of academic achievement, self-confidence, leadership, and social skills among students. The main challenges include limited resources and low student participation, which are addressed through program innovation, collaboration with external parties, and the involvement of parents and alumni. This study confirms that extracurricular activities are not merely complementary to education but are an integral component in shaping holistically excellent students. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for other schools in managing extracurricular programs effectively and for policymakers to strengthen the role of extracurricular activities within the national education system

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan situsional, budaya organisasi, dan efikasi diri terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dan uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah regreasi linear berganda. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan jumlah responden 103 orang guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang diolah menggunakan software IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel kepemimpinan situasional berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, variabel budaya organisasi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, variabel efikasi diri berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, serta kepemimpinan situasional, budaya organisasi, dan efikasi diri secara bersama-sama berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru SMK Negeri 5 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan untuk meningkatkan kepemimpinan situasional kepala sekolah, budaya organisasi sekolah, dan efikasi diri guru untuk mendukung peningkatan kinerja guru yang berdampak baik terhadap mutu pendidikan dan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Dinamika globalisasi terus menghadirkan nilai-nilai modern seperti individualisme, materialisme, konsumerisme dan lain-lain. Hal ini dapat menggerus dan menggeser nilai-nilai nasionalisme dalam diri siswa. Berbagai persoalan seperti tindakan intoleransi, kekerasan atas nama agama, perundungan (bulying) dan lain-lain di tengah kalangan siswa disebabkan antara lain oleh lemahnya semangat saling menghargai, menghormati dan mengakui perbedaan, serta rendahnya rasa persaudaraan, persatuan dan kesatuan sebagai masyarakat dan bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisa konsep tentang pendidikan karakter nasionalisme, program dan implementasi program pendidikan karakter nasionalisme serta dampaknya bagi para siswa di SMA Negeri 2 dan SMA Katolik St. Bonaventura, kota Madiun. Hasil penelitian diharapkan berkontribusi untuk pengembangan strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter nasionalisme siswa pada dua sekolah yang diteliti ini dan sekolah lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif serta desain multi situs.Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan kedua sekolah mengartikan pendidikan karakter nasionalisme sebagai upaya menanamkan semangat cinta kepada tanah air dan membentuk pribadi siswa yang berintegritas dan bertanggungjawab atas kehidupan dan kemajuan berbangsa dan bernegara. Kedua sekolah memiliki program konkrit pendidikan karakter nasionalisme siswa dan telah mengimplementatikannya melalui program dan pelaksanaan program intrakurikuler, kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler sekolah. Implementasi ini mengakibatkan terjadinya pengembangan dan penguatan karakter nasionalisme siswa baik pada ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is a primary requirement in the era of globalization and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. One strategic effort undertaken by schools is the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS). This study aims to analyze the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 in realizing a quality culture transformation at SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya, focusing on the implementation of ISO principles, organizational culture changes, and supporting and inhibiting factors. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 at SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya was carried out systematically through quality policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal audits, and management reviews. The principles of customer focus, leadership, and continuous improvement contributed significantly to improved school performance and the growth of a quality culture oriented towards accountability, openness, and continuous improvement. The transformation of organizational culture is evident in the increased quality awareness of the school community and cross-unit collaboration. Key success factors include visionary leadership, active participation of the school community, and support from industry partners, while obstacles include resistance to change and a lack of understanding of ISO principles. Overall, the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 at SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya has proven to be a significant catalyst in realizing the transformation of the school's quality culture. This system not only strengthens governance and managerial effectiveness but also changes the mindset of the school community to be more reflective, collaborative, and oriented towards sustainable quality. This research implies that strengthening human resource competencies and leadership commitment are key to the successful implementation of an ISO-based quality system in vocational education units.
