Abstract

Pada artikel ini, kami melaporkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh program studi teknik elektro universitas pertamina yang dilakukkan di SMA Al Manar Azhari. Pada realitanya teknologi informasi telah maju dengan sangat cepat dan memiliki dampak yang sangat besar. Dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia, kedua teknologi ini masih belum sepenuhnya digunakan. Dengan bantuan laboratorium virtual, proses belajar mengajar dapat dilakukan di mana saja, kapan saja, dan menjadi lebih menarik dan partisipatif. Selain itu, waktu mengajar dapat dikurangi setengahnya sementara kualitas belajar dapat ditingkatkan. Pada pelaksanaan pengabdian ini kami menawarkan metode laboratorium virtual sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran fisika yang memiliki keunggulan lebih praktis dan biaya yang diperlukkan relatif lebih rendah. Materi yang di gunakkan dalam pelatihan ini meliputi Gerak pendulum, Rangkaian listrik DC, Gerak proyektil, dan Hamburan Rutherford. Hasil kami memperlihatkan bahwa antusias dan pemahaman peserta terhadap penggunaan laboratorium virtual PhET. Selanjutnya, hasil lain yang kami peroleh dari hasil kuisioner yang diisi oleh peserta terjadi peningkatan pembelajaran fisika dari pre-test 37 menjadi 80 saat dilaksanakkan post-test.

Abstract

High school students (MAN 3) Banda Aceh are experiencing problems related to science process skills, so they need to be improved. Efforts to improve KPS can be pursued through "Implementation of Engineering Everywhere in Physics worksheets based on the STEM approach with the aim of knowing the improvement of students' science process skills using Engineering Everywhere on physics worksheets based on the STEM approach. The Pre-Experimental Design One Group Pretest-Postest research, research subjects for class XI MIA 2 students as many as 27 people. The instruments used consisted of test instruments (scientific process skills test questions), and non-tests (RPP, LKS, teacher observation sheets, and student response questionnaires). Data analysis techniques quantitatively and qualitatively as well as the calculation of the N-Gain Score. The results of qualitative data analysis obtained validity, practicality of the instruments used and quantitative data analysis obtained the effectiveness of the science process skills instrument with an N-gain result of 0.69, and was supported by the results of the student response questionnaire which scored 940 in the effective category

Abstract

Dalam studi ini, kami menyaajikan investigasi eksperimental terhadap kinerja sel surya yang digabungkan dengan peredam panas. Pengaturan eksperimental dalam ruangan dirancang dan dirakit untuk menyelidiki dampak penggunaan sistem pendingin peredam panas pada kinerja sel surya. Lampu halogen digunakan untuk mensimulasikan radiasi matahari dan penelitian dilakukan pada nilai radiasi matahari yang berbeda. Selain itu, penelitian dilakukan pada udara alami dan paksa untuk mendinginkan peredam panas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sistem pendingin peredam panas meningkatkan kinerja sel surya. Suhu sel surya menurun sekitar 5,4 % dan 11 % masing-masing dengan menggunakan sistem pendingin peredam panas pada udara alami dan udara paksa di atas peredam panas. Selain itu, efisiensi dan daya sistem sel surya meningkat sekitar 16% saat sistem pendingin peredam panas digunakan.In this study, we conducted an experimental investigation of the performance of a solar cell coupled with a heat sink in a relatively simple system. An indoor experimental setup was designed and assembled to investigate the impact of using a heat sink cooling system on the performance of solar cell performance. Halogen lamps are used to simulate solar radiation and research is carried out on the value of solar radiation which varies from the highest wavelength to the lowest wavelength. In addition, research was carried out on natural and forced air to cool the heat sink. The results showed that the use of a heat dissipation cooling system increases the performance of solar cells. The temperature of the solar cell was decreased by about 5.4 % and 11 % respectively by using natural air and forced air to overheat sink cooling systems. We believe the efficiency and power of the solar cell system increase by about 16% when a heat dissipation cooling system is used.

Abstract

Tempat sampah otomatis adalah sebuah alat yang mempermudah seseorang dalam membuang sampah. Tutup tempat sampah yang dapat membuka dan menutup secara otomatis memiliki tujuan agar menghindari terinfeksinya bakteri pada tutup. Penumpukan sampah dapat menyebabkan bau tidak sedap hingga polusi udara. Tempat sampah otomatis di luar ruangan sangat sulit terakses listrik sehingga diperlukan penyuplai listrik portable. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk pembuatan tempat sampah otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan sistem PV-grid. Sistem ini menambahkan fungsi dari tempat sampah otomatis yaitu untuk memberikan notifikasi terhadap petugas kebersihan jika tempat sampah telah penuh. Sistem suplai listrik menggunakan hybrid dua penyulangan yaitu photovoltaic (PV) dan listrik konvensional (grid). Perancangan sistem kontrol tempat sampah otomatis menggunakan sensor ultrasonik, modul mikrokontroler Arduino IDE, dan Blynk. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan pengisian baterai hingga penuh membutuhkan waktu 5 jam dan mengirimkan notifikasi jika sensor ultrasonik mendeteksi sampah dengan jarak 15 cm selama 5 detik. Sistem pemberitahuan notifikasi juga berhasil dikirimkan menggunakan media e-mail.

Abstract

Malus' law asserts that the square of the cosine of the angle formed between two polarizers is directly proportional to the light intensity after passing through them. In this study, we demonstrate this law using a straightforward configuration. Our method of measuring the polarizer's rotational angle while keeping the other polarizer stationary is innovative. It involves manually attaching a multi-turn potentiometer to one of the polarizers. The Arduino board is connected to the potentiometer and light sensor used to detect the intensity of transmitted light, allowing for the measurement of light intensity as a function of rotational angle. Additionally, we think that the configuration as it is now can be helpful in physics laboratory classes. It can also be demonstrated by using it during lectures.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi energi terbarukan, khususnya pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS), semakin penting dalam mengatasi masalah energi dan lingkungan. Dalam konteks ini, perangkat lunak penghitung tekno-ekonomi PLTS menjadi alat yang sangat diperlukan untuk memperkirakan kinerja dan manfaat finansial dari instalasi PLTS. Dalam penelitian ini, kami merancang dan mengimplementasikan perangkat lunak penghitung tekno-ekonomi PLTS berbasis web. Perangkat lunak ini dirancang untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam melakukan perhitungan dan simulasi berbagai sistem PLTS, seperti off-grid, on-grid, dan hybrid. Kami menggunakan HTML, CSS, dan JavaScript sebagai teknologi utama untuk membangun antarmuka pengguna yang responsif dan mengimplementasikan logika perhitungan. Setelah implementasi, perangkat lunak diuji untuk memastikan fungsionalitasnya dan mengumpulkan umpan balik pengguna. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa perangkat lunak penghitung tekno-ekonomi PLTS ini dapat memberikan estimasi kinerja dan manfaat finansial yang akurat. Perangkat lunak ini dapat digunakan sebagai panduan dalam pengambilan keputusan untuk investasi PLTS.

Abstract

This research presents a prototype of automation and monitoring of an Internet of Things (IoT) based hydroponic system that is optimized by utilizing solar panels as an energy source. This system is designed to increase the efficiency of modern hydroponic farming by monitoring and controlling environmental parameters such as humidity levels, temperature, pH, and plant lighting in real time. Solar panels are used to provide a sustainable source of energy, making the system eco-friendly and autonomous. This prototype is connected to an IoT platform that allows users to access and control the system via a smartphone or computer application. In addition, the collected environmental data can be analyzed to increase agricultural yields and minimize resource consumption. This research represents an essential step in combining IoT technology and renewable energy to increase the productivity of modern agriculture in a sustainable and efficient way.

Abstract

In the study, we analyzed the acidity level of coffee grounds as an alternative catalyst for bio-battery energy sources, investigated how coffee grounds work as an alternative catalyst, and investigated how power is generated from variations in coffee grounds. This study used four variations of coffee grounds. Data collection was carried out by taking pH data or acidity level, voltage data, and also the length of time the LED was on from each variation of coffee grounds. The results showed that the civet arabica, original arabica, mongoose robusta, and original robusta coffee grounds respectively had pH values of 5, 5.15, 5.36, 5.6. Then the voltage is 1.35 volts, 1.27 volts, 1.11 volts, 0.994 volts. And the LED time is 417 hours, 414 hours, 409 hours, 404 hours. So that from the results obtained there is a significant relationship between the pH value and the voltage and power, that is, the smaller the pH value, the greater the voltage and power generated.

Abstract

Pada studi ini, telah dilakukkan pembuatan lapisan sel surya silikon amorf terhidrogenasi (a-Si:H) tipe p dengan menggunakan sistem PECVD pada subtrat kaca ITO. Deposisi yang dilakukan selama 30 menit dengan daya RF 3-Watt dan temperatur 2700C. Fabrikasi sel surya amorf menggunakanmetode ekperimen dengan mengalirkan gas silan (SiH4) 20 sccm dengan variasi laju gas Hidrogen (H2) dari 30 sccm sampai 70 sccm dan laju gas Boron (B2H6) 2 sccm dan 4 sccm. Hasil fabrikasi sel surya amorf mendapatkan ketebalan lapisan yang diukur dengan spektrometer (NanoCalc-2000) sebesar 302,8-324,0 nm. Dengan menggunakan pengukuran four-point probe didapatkan konduktivitas gelap 3,34 x 10-3 S/cm dan konduktivitas terang didapatkan 3,91 x 10-3 S/cm. Serta, hasil pengukuran menggunakan UV-VIS mendapatkan energi gap sebesar 1,7-1,8 eV. Fabrikasi lapisan sel surya amorf ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi sel surya berbasis a-Si: H.

Abstract

The scarcity of experimental activities is one of the challenges of teaching current physics. This study resolves these issues and suggests three nuclear physics experiments using a low-cost ion chamber, whose construction is explained: the measurement of 222Rn progeny collected from the indoor air; the measurement of the range of alpha particles emitted by the 232Th progeny, present in lantern mantles and in thoriated welding rods, as well as by the air filter containing 222Rn progeny; and the measurement of 220Rn half-life collected from In this study, the experimental methods and anticipated findings are presented, showing that the experiments could help nuclear physics curricula. These procedures may provide broad access to either academic laboratories in high schools or colleges and the equipment may be used to create novel nuclear physics teaching strategies
