Abstract

The issue of athletes' mental health is currently a serious concern for various groups. This study aims to analyze psychological factors on athletes' performance and well-being through a literature review. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining articles from Google Scholar, Scopus, and ResearchGate. Selection was based on inclusion criteria (articles from 2015–2025, relevant to sports psychology, full-text) and exclusion criteria (proceedings, theses/dissertations, duplicates). From this process, ten main articles were obtained and analyzed using thematic synthesis. The results showed that intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, and mental toughness contributed positively to performance improvement, while anxiety and burnout had a negative impact on concentration and achievement. Social support, mindfulness, and integrated psychological interventions were also found to maintain athletes' mental well-being. Athletes' success is influenced not only by physical aspects but also by psychological resilience and external support. Practitioners are advised to integrate mental training, while further research needs to explore technology-based interventions.

Abstract

Bulutangkis merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga yang menggunakan bola kecil (shuttlecock) sebagai objek permainan. Tujuan utama dari permainan ini adalah untuk mengarahkan shuttlecock ke area permainan lawan agar sulit dikembalikan, sekaligus mencegah shuttlecock jatuh di area sendiri. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode latihan shadow (bayangan) untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan kelincahan atlet bulutangkis dari klub PB. Girlie. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan pre-test, pemberian perlakuan (treatment), dan post-test. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 33 atlet PB. Girlie, dengan sampel yang dipilih secara purposive berjumlah 10 atlet putra berusia 16–19 tahun yang termasuk dalam kategori remaja dan taruna. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes shuttle run berbentuk T-test, baik pada tahap pre-test maupun post-test, sedangkan perlakuan dilakukan melalui latihan shadow. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t berpasangan (paired t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai standar deviasi pada pre-test adalah 0,68147 dan mengalami penurunan menjadi 0,57142 pada post-test. Uji normalitas memberikan nilai 0,074, sementara uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p-value) sebesar 0,001 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, yang menandakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari perlakuan yang diberikan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating traditional games in improving the gross motor skills of elementary school students. The research method used is experimental with a pre-test and post-test one group design. The population consisted of fourth-grade students from an elementary school, with a sample of 30 students selected from one class. The instrument used to measure gross motor skills was the Test of Gross Motor Development-2, which has been adapted and validated for the Indonesian context. Data analysis showed a significant increase in gross motor skills after participating in traditional game interventions. The pre-test data were not normally distributed (Sig. Shapiro-Wilk = 0.007), while the post-test data were normally distributed (Sig. = 0.128). The paired t-test results indicated a t-value of 132.366 with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, confirming a significant improvement. The traditional games specifically used in this study were Boi-boian and kasti. Boi-boian involves actions such as throwing and dodging, which effectively develop coordination and reaction skills. Kasti, a bat-and-run game, trains students in hitting, catching, and sprinting, enhancing strength, agility, and motor accuracy. The integration of these two games provided diverse physical challenges and significantly boosted student engagement.These findings suggest that traditional game-based interventions can serve as an effective strategy for enhancing gross motor skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Low student motivation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health remains a significant challenge at the elementary school level. The learning process often becomes monotonous, and the limited exploration of local cultural values results in a lack of enthusiasm among students for participating in learning activities. This study aims to analyze the impact of traditional culture-based games on student learning motivation within PJOK education. The methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a quasi-experimental design featuring a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research subjects included 19 fifth-grade students from SDN Bleberan in Mojokerto. A learning motivation questionnaire served as the instrument, administered both prior to and following the treatment. The results of the hypothesis testing, conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, revealed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect on enhancing learning motivation after the introduction of traditional games. Traditional games have demonstrated pedagogical potential as an engaging, contextual, and effective medium for increasing student motivation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Olahraga panjat tebing merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga yang menuntut kekuatan fisik, teknik, dan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat minat olahraga panjat tebing pada anggota Ikatan Siswa Pencinta Alam di Kabupaten Lumajang yang berjumlah 40 anggota. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif - deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh data bahwa minat olahraga panjat tebing pada anggota SISPALA di Kabupaten Lumajang terdiri dari 2 orang (5,00%) kategori sangat tinggi, 9 orang (22,50%) kategori tinggi, 16 orang (40,00%) kategori sedang, 11 orang (27,50%) kategori rendah, dan 2 orang (5,00%) kategori sangat rendah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan minat siswa terhadap olahraga panjat tebing berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

AbstrakPanjat dinding adalah salah satu cabang olahraga ekstrem yang saat ini sedang berkembang pesat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana motivasi orang tua mengikutsertakan anaknya ke dalam klub panjat dinding. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode purposive sampling, dengan sampel sebanyak 66 orang, instrumen pengumpulan data dengan kuisioner, adapun teknik analisis data dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa mayoritas orang tua termotivasi memenuhi dimensi aktualisasi diri yaitu sebanyak 47%, yang artinya orang tua modern memprioritaskan pengembangan jangka panjang seperti life skills dan identitas positif.Kata Kunci: Motivasi, Orang Tua, Panjat Tebing. AbstractWall Climbing is a rapidly growing extreme sport. The purpose of this study was to determine how parents motivate their children to join wall climbing clubs. The research used purposive sampling, with a sample size of 66 people. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique was descriptive analysis. The results revealed that the majority of parents, 47%, were motivated by self-actualization, indicating that modern parents prioritize long-term development such as life skills and positive identity.Keywords: : Motivation; Parents; Wall Climbing.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of cup stacking games on participants’ fine motor skills, specifically to (1) measure changes in hand speed and hand–eye coordination, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of cup stacking as a fine motor stimulator, and (3) provide practical recommendations for implementing this activity in educational or recreational fitness settings. The study employed an experimental design using a pretest–posttest control group method. A total of 20 participants aged 6–10 years were purposively selected and equally divided into control and experimental groups. Both groups completed a standardized fine motor test before and after the intervention. The experimental group received cup stacking training for three weeks (three sessions per week, 40 minutes each), consisting of progressive coordination and reflex exercises. Data were analyzed using parametric statistical tests after normality and homogeneity assumptions were confirmed. The Paired Samples t-Test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = −5.891, p < 0.001), indicating that cup stacking effectively improved participants’ fine motor abilities. However, the Independent Samples t-Test revealed no significant difference between the control and experimental groups (p = 0.137), suggesting that both groups improved, but not to a statistically distinct degree. These findings confirm that cup stacking has a positive and measurable influence on fine motor enhancement through repeated, coordinated, and visually guided hand movements. The activity stimulates motor learning processes, supports neuromuscular adaptation, and can be implemented as a low-cost and engaging training method in educational or recreational environments. In conclusion, cup stacking represents an innovative and enjoyable approach for fine motor development, encouraging further research with larger samples, longer interventions, and advanced assessments such as biomechanical or neurophysiological analyses to explore its broader impact on motor performance.
