Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of applying the constructivist learning model on the quality of learning. This research was conducted at the Panyabungan Mandailing Natal District Elementary School. The research method used is quantitative, with a causative approach. The population of this study was all 84 teachers spread across 6 public elementary schools in Panyabungan sub-district. The research sample consisted of 35 people, obtained through a stratified proportional random sampling technique. Research data was collected through questionnaires which have been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis technique used is the level of response attainment (TCR) to describe the data, while the analysis requirements tests carried out are the normality test and linearity test. Next, testing the hypothesis is carried out using simple correlation and regression. The research results revealed that the constructivist learning model had a significant effect on the quality of learning by 32.2%. The implications of these findings can be used as a basis for improving the quality of learning in similar schools and making a positive contribution to the development of learning models that suit the contextual needs of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation and effectiveness of ASC Timetables, an intelligent planning system, in setting subjects for an Integrated Islamic Elementary School at Riyadhoturrohman Panyabungan. The research explores the complexities of scheduling subjects within the context of Islamic education and analyzes the intelligent planning mechanisms integrated into ASC Timetables. A qualitative research approach, employing in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, was utilized to gather data from teachers, school administrators, and staff directly involved in using ASC Timetables.The findings of this study reveal the intricate process of subject scheduling in an integrated Islamic elementary school and highlight the significance of intelligent planning systems in managing diverse subjects while adhering to Islamic educational principles. The research illuminates the challenges faced by educators and administrators and discusses the solutions provided by ASC Timetables. Moreover, it identifies the system’s ability to adapt and optimize schedules, ensuring an effective and balanced allocation of learning hours for various subjects. This research contributes to the understanding of how intelligent planning systems like ASC Timetables enhance the efficiency of subject scheduling in a unique educational context. The insights gained from this study can inform educational practitioners, policymakers, and system developers, guiding the integration of intelligent planning tools in diverse educational environments, especially those with specific cultural and religious requirements.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Jarimatika method in elementary mathematics learning from the perspective of school policy and management. Jarimatika, as a finger-based learning innovation, is believed to enhance students’ basic arithmetic skills and create an engaging and contextual learning atmosphere. However, its successful implementation depends not only on teachers’ competence but also on supportive school policies and effective management strategies applied by school leaders and educators. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method conducted in several elementary schools that have implemented Jarimatika. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and analysis of school policy documents. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of Jarimatika implementation is significantly influenced by internal policies that support learning innovation, continuous teacher training, and the leadership role of principals in fostering an open and change-oriented school climate. Furthermore, adaptive and participatory school management has been proven to facilitate the integration of Jarimatika into the curriculum and daily learning activities. These findings emphasize the importance of synergy between school policy and managerial practice in improving the quality of mathematics learning in elementary education.

Abstract

The realm of Islamic educational management is not immune to conflicts, which can arise from various sources such as differing ideologies, cultural disparities, or administrative challenges. This study delves into the multifaceted dimensions of conflicts faced by Islamic educational management students. By employing a humanistic approach, this research seeks to unravel the intricate layers of conflicts within the context of Islamic education and offers innovative solutions to mitigate their adverse effects. Drawing from theories rooted in humanism, the study explores the psychological and sociocultural aspects of conflict resolution, emphasizing empathy, understanding, and effective communication. Through in-depth qualitative analysis and case studies, the research provides valuable insights into the root causes of conflicts, enabling Islamic educational management students to cultivate a harmonious learning environment. This study not only contributes to the academic discourse but also equips future leaders in Islamic education with practical strategies to navigate conflicts, fostering a conducive atmosphere for holistic learning and personal growth.

Abstract

The learning transformation at this recent days and it’s move from 4.0 to 5.0 area make every education institution should always upgrade with various developments in science and technology, if it’s not able to adjust to the pace of the movement, educational institutions are prepared to be unable to achieve their goal in a certain phase later. Beside that the learning methods should always be upgraded too. Mindmapping method is a method that can create creativity and mindset of students and they will be able to build their understanding of certain concepts. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data in this research was collected by observation, interview, and documentation study. Data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Informant research are the first Islamic Educational Management Study Program students at STAIN Mandailing Natal with the three subject matter, they are organizational management at the first semester, schools management at the second semester. Abstract

Karakter merupakan poin terpenting yang harus dicapai dalam proses pembelajaran dan ini sesuai dengan kurikulum yang diusung di era kini. Proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung biasanya, face to face pada lembaga pesantren yang notabene kehidupannya dikontrol selama dua puluh empat jam kini mulai berubah di era pandemi ini. Virtual learning process membuat semua aspek yang terkait untuk terbiasa secara online pada setiap kegiatan belajar mengajar di pesantren. Walaupun proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung secara virtual namun kontrol terhadap perilaku peserta didik sebagai bagian dari karakter tetap diupayakan agar sama porsinya dengan proses pembelajaran secara langsung. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, presentasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Informan penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas, wali kelas, guru pesantren, dan kepala pesantren. Adapun temuan penelitian terkait manajemen karakter peserta didik di SMP Pesantren Modern Terpadu Prof. Dr. Hamka II Padang adalah: 1) Perencanaan karakter, 2) Pelaksanaan karakter, 3) Pengorganisasian karakter, 4) Pengevaluasian karakter dengan berbasis virtual via whatsapp, video pembelajaran, dan google classroom. Selain itu pembentukan tim dalam kontrol karakter di pesantren ini diperlukan dan dengan istilah “Hamka Peduli”.

Abstract

The programs regarding religious moderation are activities that are in line with the principles of the state. The essence of this program is that everything carried out in an agency must be moderate and not extreme left or right. This means that attitudes of tolerance, mutual respect, non-violence, and upholding the foundations of the state are manifestations of religious moderation. This service is motivated by the culture in Pariaman which does not accept the presence of immigrants, especially ethnic Chinese, because of the history of the previous Khanso incident. The aim of this service is to socialize religious moderation through strengthening teacher competence using comic strips as a learning medium for teachers that will be used in the learning process. The service partners are 15 teachers of MTSN 1 and MTSN 2 Pariaman. The method used in this service is PAR. It was held on 9-10 December 2023 at the Joyo Makmur Pariaman. The result are teachers will be able to create comics based on religious moderation according to the subjects they teach and make students understand the concept of religious moderation. Hopefully the message in the comic will be conveyed and students can apply it in their daily lives.
