Abstract

The study aimed at examining (1) the learning result of student after being taught by employing scientific approach, problem posing approach and open ended approach in problem-based learning model, (2) the differences of improvement of student’s learning result taught  by employing scientific approach, open ended approach and problem-posing approach in problem-based learning model. This study was a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of the study was class X students at SMAN 2 Makale of academic year 2014/2015 which consisted of 4 classes. Samples were selected by employing purposive sampling technique and obtained class X2 with 28 students, X3 with 23 students, and X4 with 23 students. Afterwards, the three classes were taught using scientific approach, problem posing approach, and open ended approach in problem-based learning model. The learning package used was lesson plan, student’s workbook, and student’s book. The research instruments were test of learning result, self assessment, and learning implementation. The result of the study revealed that (1) the mean score of student’s learning result using scientific approach in problem-based learning on knowledge aspect was 83.33 and attitude aspect was 90.03. Student’s who had achieved master on knowledge aspect was 84%, so the mastery learning result classically had been achieved; the attitude aspect had achieved 96% so the student’s attitude was in very good category. The mean score of student’s learning result using problem posing approach in problem-based learning model on attitude aspect was 86.95 and knowledge aspect was 70.61. Student’s who had achieved mastery was 23%, so the mastery learning result classically had been achieved; the attitude aspect had achieved 95% so the student’s was in very good category. The mean score of student’s learning result using open ended approach in problem-based learning on attitude aspect was 88.24 and knowledge aspect was 66.96. Student’s who had achieved mastery was 35%, so the mastery learning result classically had yet to achieve; the attitude aspect indicated that 100% of student’s was very good category, (2) there was significant difference of learning result of students who were taught by employing scientific approach, problem posing approach, and open ended approach

Abstract

The challenge that is a community need is the availability of multi-competent and resilient teachers. In addition, teachers who are always ready to learn and hone their competencies following regulatory changes and developments in science and technology are needed. This is the basis for the need to provide training to prospective teachers before plunging into the community and serving in the world of education. The purpose of this service is to increase the competency of prospective teachers with the help of education practitioners who have had a lot of experience in dealing with everyday techniques in schools. The competencies that need to be formed are about how to manage schools and their scientific development. With the target participants being prospective teachers, there is great hope to hone their competence. The method of implementing online training with participants from 3 universities. This training service activity helps prospective teachers to improve their competence with school management projects. In addition, competence in the scientific field also increases insight and skills. Through joint practice with given problems on the assignment to increase the participants' skills and abilities.

Abstract

Pedampingan pengabdian adalah proses atau aktivitas yang melibatkan bantuan, bimbingan, atau pendampingan kepada seseorang atau kelompok yang menjalankan proyek atau program pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau instansi tertentu. perlu untuk memberikan pendampingan pada siswa-siswa kelas X yang baru saja menempuh tahap belajar pada jenjang sekolah menengah atas. Tujuan dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan dan gambaran tentang pelaksanaan P5 pada tingkat sekolah menengah atas, memberikan pembimbingan untuk memberdayakan pola piker yang berkembang cepat dan tanggap pada kalangan siswa sebagai pemebri sumber informasi yang relevan dan tepat. Metode kegiatan melalui hybrid system yaitu dengan online dan offline. Hasil dari kegiatan siswa untuk lebih peduli dan menumbuhkan serta menguatkan karakter siswa pancasila, khususnya iman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, akhlak mulia, bergotong royong, mandiri, berkebhinekaan global, berpikir kritis, dan kreatif. Selain itu, siswa meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan mereka serta cinta tanah air. P5 memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan semangat usaha dan kerja sama siswa.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of ethnopedagogy in mathematics education at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) Toraja, focusing on its impact on international students. Ethnopedagogy, which integrates cultural contexts and values into teaching practices, aims to create a more inclusive and relevant learning environment. This research explores how UKI Toraja incorporates ethnopedagogical principles into its mathematics curriculum to support international students from diverse cultural backgrounds.The research examines various strategies employed by UKI Toraja, such as contextualizing mathematical problems with local cultural references, adapting teaching materials to reflect the diverse cultural experiences of international students, and utilizing collaborative learning approaches that respect and incorporate students' cultural perspectives. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, interviews, and classroom observations, the study assesses the effectiveness of these ethnopedagogical strategies in enhancing student engagement, understanding, and academic performance.Ethnopedagogical approaches significantly improve international students' mathematical learning experiences by making content more relatable and engaging. The study also highlights the challenges faced in implementing these strategies, such as the need for continuous professional development for educators and the importance of developing culturally responsive resources.

Abstract

Anak dengan disabilitas spektrum autis perlu mendapatkan waktu yang lebih di rumah untuk dapat membiasakan belajar mandiri. Pembisaan ini tentu saja memerlukanperan penting orang tua dalam pelaksanaanya. Keluarga dengan kondisi anak yang mengalami spektru autis memrlukan pendampingan yang tepat untuk dapat menjadikan orangtua berwawasan dan siap mendapingi anak belajar mandiri di rumah. Perlu diberikan pendamapingan bagi anak dan khususnya orang tua dalam kemampuan belajar mandiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara serta pembelajaran online dan offline. Metode ini sangat penting dilakukan untuk denganmneyesuaikan berdasarkan hasil identifikasi bahwa sekolah menerapkan pembelajaran online dalampemberian tugas. Dalam pendampingan belajar mandiri pada anak spektrum autis untuk materi matematika aljabar menggunakan media bantu untuk pembelajaran yaitu video interaktif yang khusus bagi anak spektrum autis. Media pembelajaran khusu bagi anak spektrum autis memerlukan ketersedian yang banyak agar dapat meningkatkan minat dan ketertarikan dalam belajar sehingga anak dapat belajar mandiri dan menyelesaikan tugas yang dibrikan dnegan baik

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran pada dasarnya memberikan dampak terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Dalam hal ini, penggunaan video pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi pada Canva atau Microsoft Power Point menjadi salah satu fokus utama dalam penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kami menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental dengan melibatkan siswa kelas X TKJ A (kelas kontrol) dan TKJ B (kelas eksperimen) SMK Negeri 2 Toraja Utara yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya, kami menemukan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

The Semiotic process (construction of sign meaning) is very closely related to mathematics which consists of signs or symbols. This research aims to explore students' semiotic processes in constructing the meaning of symbols in whole numbers. This research is a qualitative descriptive research using a semiotic approach. The subjects in this research were selected using purposive sampling (purposeful sampling). The subjects in this research were 32 elementary school students. Based on this research, 5 types of semiotic construction patterns were obtained with each subject grouped based on its semiotic construction, namely 1) strong semiotic construction, 2) weak semiosis construction, 3) True-False semiotic construction, 4) False-True semiotic construction, and 5) False-False semiotic construction. The semiosis construction process is a determining factor in students understanding the signs of operations in integers.

Abstract

Kemampuan’ literasi’ numerasi’ adalah kemampuan’ yang harus’ dimiliki’ siswai dalam kurikulum merdeka belajar. Meningkatkan kemampuan siswa sangat bergantung pada bagaimana guru mengatur pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa. Tujuan PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru SD dan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi melalui metode pelatihan dan penyuluhan, pengabdian ini ditujukan kepada guru SD di Lembang Randanan. Guru dibantu oleh fasilitator dan materi tentang langkah-langkah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Hasil dari pengabdian berupa hasil dari quesioner yang diisi oleh guru dan siswa. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa para guru memperoleh pemahaman baru tentang pembelajaran berbasis literasi numerasi.

Abstract

Every student has different abilities, this difference is due to the different stages of ability that students have. The purpose of this study was to describe students' thinking skills based on Van Hiele's learning theory. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class VIII SMPN 2 Makale. The instruments used were test descriptions and interviews. The results showed 93% who had the ability to think at the introductory stage (stage 0), 80% of students who had the ability to think at the stage of analysis (stage 1), 33% of students who had the ability to think at the sequencing stage (stage 2), and 20% of students. who has the ability to think at the deduction stage (stage 3). Thus, the thinking ability of iclass VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Makale based on Van Hiele's theory on cube and block material reaches stage 3 or the deduction stage.

Abstract

Hybrid learning, also known as blended learning, is a learning approach that combines traditional face-to-face learning with online learning. This research uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. the research subjects were taken students of the education study program at the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja in the fourth semester. The preliminary research used a random interview method to obtain preliminary data on the application of artificial intelligence. The conclusions that can be drawn from the data and discussions above are that hybrid learning with artificial intelligence (AI) can improve student learning outcomes. However, there are obstacles and challenges that students face. The obstacles that arise are related to the need to be able to keep up with technological developments by using and utilizing AI appropriately and well.
