Abstract

The aim of the study is to evaluate ERMS software of ARTERI that used the functional requirements of ISO 16175-2: 2011. The researcher chose aspects of search, retrieval, and rendering (disseminate) to evaluate its systems. The study uses a qualitative approach with a review of literature studies. Data were collected by observation and documentation. The findings show ARTERI only meets 10 of 49 functional requirements. Fullfilled functional requirement of ARTERI, includes: 1) Provide a flexible range of functions for locating, accessing, and retrieving records and/or metadata; 2) Allow all records in each level to be searchable; 3) Allow the user to set up a single search request; 4) Never allow a search function to reveal to a user any information; 5) Have integrated search facilities for all levels; 6) Allows users to save and re-use queries; 7) Allows users who are viewing or working with a record; 8) Allows record metadata to be searched; 9) Allows administrators to take a copy of records and reaction; and 10) Store in the metadata any change made. ARTERI needs to be developed, for instance, adding features in any field of content search, automatic search, boolean operators, and improving the user interface for search. Furthermore, the rendering, downloading, and printing features also need to be improved. Finally, the study is limited to certain functional requirements, standards, and applications. Future study needs to consider aspects that have not been discussed or comparisons with certain standards or applications

Abstract

This article discusses authenticity in electronic record management at Badan Perpustakaan and Arsip Daerah Pemprov DKI Jakarta. The focus is on how to protect and maintain the authenticity of electronic record. The purpose is to find out the procedures and to identify BPAD efforts for maintaining authenticity in managing electronic record. This research applied qualitative approach with a case study method. Depth interview, observation and study documents were techniques used as a data collecting method. The result was that BPAD efforts to maintain authenticity of electronic record were still low. However, it didn’t mean that BPAD made no attempt to maintain the authenticity of electronic records. There have been some efforts, though; it didn’t have a detailed procedure of what should be done.

Abstract

Introduction. This paper investigates how the academic library's concepts, functions, and roles as the center of scholarly and student activities are portrayed in the novel Babel by R.F. Kuang. Data Collection Methods. This research used Bengtsson’s qualitative content analysis model. Data was collected through an extensive reading and found 111 data that matched with the research focus. Data Analysis. Data were analyzed through decontextualization with open coding and then recontextualized into 89 data to categorize and interpret. Results and Discussion. The library supported students by being portrayed as a learning commons, co-working space, and makerspace; hence it became the scholarly activity center for scholars. Libraries are not portrayed neutral in providing services and tend to limit students’ research scope and public access to information. The libraries are also used for non-academic activities, such as a source of magical power production and knowledge development center, the center of social and student movements. The library representation in the novel is not only a critique towards academia and its information institutions, but also an example of the library’s negative stereotype. Conclusion. From the author's perspective, the library is portrayed as a center for scholarly activities and directly involved in student political life as it becomes the center of student movements.

Abstract

Introduction. This study discusses reception analysis regarding the depiction of libraries and librarians in the role-playing game (RPG) Genshin Impact, particularly House of Daena as the most extensive library and Lisa as the librarian at the Knights of Favonius Library. Through Genshin Impact, the description of libraries and librarians is examined through a different approach from research in other media. Data Collection Methods. This study use a qualitative method with a reception study approach. The data collection techniques with in-depth interviews was conducted using a purposive sampling technique with five informants. Data Analysis. The data is analyzed by reducing, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Results and Discussion. The results showed that (1) the informant, as a player, had the view that the Knight of Favonius Library and House of Daena the same as library in real world; and (2) Lisa and Katayoun, as librarians, described as more friendly and professional than the real librarians. Conclusion. The depiction of libraries and librarians in Genshin Impact presents a positive impression that is expected to improve the views of library users in the real world.

Abstract

Kemunculan AI memiliki dampak dalam perubahan dalam proses pencarian informasi, terutama bagi siswa dalam penyelesaian tugasnya. Pemanfaatan ini tentunya menjadi sebuah tantangan bagi para guru, untuk mengevaluasi dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini dengan melihat dari sudut pandang dari siswa mengenai AI. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran kondisi dari siswa menengah dan melihat seberapa efektifnya pemanfaatan AI oleh mereka, sehingga guru dapat beradaptasi dengan adanya AI ini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik penentuan informan menggunakan purposive sampling dan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemanfaatan AI dari siswa dan guru sudah banyak digunakan. Berdasarkan perspektif siswa, AI digunakan untuk membantu mereka menyelesaikan tugas sekolah, sedangkan dari perspektif guru, AI dimanfaatkan untuk mempermudah pekerjaan mereka, dalam pembuatan soal, penyelesaian administrasi guru, dan penyelesaian tugas pada Platform Merdeka Mengajar di Kurikulum Merdeka. Selain itu, kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perlunya perubahan metode pembelajaran dan sistem penugasan agar penilaian peserta didik tidak hanya terfokus dalam kemampuan mereka mencari informasi, melainkan dalam hal keterampilan mereka dalam memahami dan menganalisis suatu permasalahan.

Abstract

Library institutions have several very important elements, one of which is information retrieval which is currently used in the library's online catalog. The method for cataloging the online catalog is  Functional Requirements for Bibliographic  Records (FRBR). This  writing  aims  to  provide  an overview of the implementation of the FRBR structure in the online catalog of BPP Kemendagri digital library to simplify the information retrieval process and provide insights to those who access cataloged information. This research is a type of qualitative research with literature study, observation. Literature study is used for FRBR concepts and theories while observing as a user observes the digital library catalog belonging to BPP Kemendagri  by looking at the existing fields and then analyzed. The data were then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of this study show that the online catalog display of the BPP Kemendagri digital library displays the relationship to the first group entity, namely the item entity, work, manifestation and expression and also has a relationship with the second group entity, namely the entity related to the party responsible for intellectual or artistic content, namely individuals or individuals. corporate body. The online catalog of BPP Kemendagri provides information and certain features related to content, language and physical descriptions, gives users access to other sources of information by clicking on the sections and the application of this FRBR has helped users search for information sources through information retrieval facilities.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) di Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) Republik Indonesia. KKP telah mengimplementasikan EDRMS bernama Sistem Kearsipan (SIKap) sejak tahun 2012, untuk menunjang pengelolaan rekod elektronik. Fokus pembahasan artikel ini adalah bagaimana KKP mengendalikan akses terhadap rekod elektronik di SIKap, dalam rangka menjaga keamanan sistem. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi persyaratan EDRMS dari International Council of Archives (ICA) yang dipenuhi oleh SIKap terkait keamanan rekod elektronik dalam sistem, serta bagaimana hal tersebut diimplementasikan. Data didapatkan melalui observasi partisipatif yang dilakukan berdasarkan persyaratan fungsional EDRMS yang ditetapkan ICA terkait dengan pengendalian akses dan keamanan dalam sistem, yaitu persyaratan nomor 91 hingga 107. Data pelengkap didapatkan melalui wawancara yang dilakukan dengan arsiparis. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SIKap mengaplikasikan kebijakan terkait dengan pengendalian akses dan keamanan pada rekod elektronik dalam sistem, yang dikontrol oleh admin. Dari 17 persyaratan yang ditetapkan, 13 persyaratan dipenuhi oleh SIKap, meskipun perlu dilakukan penyesuaian terlebih dahulu agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengelolaan rekod di KKP. Akses dan keamanan pada rekod elektronik di SIKap dikendalikan oleh admin dengan cara mengaplikasikan lapisan keamanan ke masing-masing rekod elektronik dan pengguna sistem, untuk memastikan pengguna hanya dapat mengakses rekod yang dibuka aksesnya untuk mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the application of the principle of the electronic records retention schedule to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan records management system. This Research describes the identification of the suitability of the application of the principle of the electronic records retention schedule at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan with the fifteen principles of implementing the electronic records retention schedule by Smallwood. This research aims to identify the application of the electronic records retention schedule principle to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan records management system. This study describes the identification schedule at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan with the 15 principles of implementing the electronic records retention schedule by Smallwood. This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The method of data collection is done using interview techniques. The results of research on electronic records retention at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan based on 15 principles of Smallwood's electronic records retention schedule show that 13 principles are understood, known, and applied by the records manager, while the record manager at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan does not know the other two principles. However, this study's findings indicate differences from conditions in Indonesia, where Principle 13 becomes Principle 14 and vice versa. In Indonesia, principle 14 must first be carried out to determine internal authority starting from the top unit to the bottom unit. Furthermore, principle 13 can be carried out to determine the functionality of the tasks and responsibilities in each unit.

Abstract

The University of Indonesia (UI) Library has a website that is accessed by students to meet their information needs. Evaluation of usability on the university library website is important so that users remain loyal to visit it and the results can be used as a basis for further development. This study aims to evaluate the usability on the University Indonesia Library website between the batch of 2016 and 2019 and compare its results. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative using a questionnaire based on the System Usability Scale. Questionnaires are distributed online through instant messaging applications and social media. The research data were analyzed using the System Usability Scale score calculation technique, then the results were compared between the two batches. The results of the analysis showed that the batch of 2016 had a better website usability value than the batch of 2019. The two batches also have good user experience based on the five components of Nielsen's usability, namely learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. The usability of the Indonesian Library's website has not been well accepted by students of batch 2016 and 2019, although there are differences in scores between the two batches. Because the SUS score is below average and below acceptable, further research can be conducted using different method or instrument to identify the existing problems.

Abstract

Film memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk persepsi masyarakat yang luas dan tersebar terhadap suatu fenomena atau realitas sosial. Sejatinya suatu profesi harus menunjukkan profesionalisme melalui kepatuhan terhadap kode etik. Namun, film merupakan hasil konstruksi yang memuat unsur subjektivitas pembuat film sehingga profesionalisme pustakawan dapat digambarkan dalam sudut pandang positif maupun negatif. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi profesionalisme pustakawan dalam memberikan layanan perpustakaan pada film This Beautiful Fantastic. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis wacana kritis Siegfried Jager dan Florentine Maier yang meliputi analisis terhadap praktik diskursif, non-diskursif, dan materialisasi objek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam film This Beautiful Fantastic, perbedaan generasi antara Bella Brown dan Mrs. Bramble merefleksikan perspektif yang kontras terkait profesionalisme pustakawan. Bella Brown yang mewakili generasi junior memberikan layanan prima melalui pemberian bantuan dan interaksi hangat dengan pemustaka, tetapi digambarkan sebagai indisipliner dan bias. Sedangkan, Mrs. Bramble yang mewakili generasi senior menunjukkan profesionalisme dengan sikap disiplin, tegas, dan patuh pada peraturan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memberikan pemahaman terkait profesi pustakawan kepada masyarakat dan menjadi motivasi bagi pustakawan untuk menjalankan kode etik profesi secara konsisten.
